Database down?

Seems to be.  Huh

Miners appeared to be mining but I needed to reset them as I wanted to change settings for Westhash Pool and when the miners restarted they would not reconnect to BAN.

EDIT: Its back up

Anyone get paid for today yet?
My last two payments(8 hour payment choice), according to the site(and received), in UTC time:
2015-02-27 00:23:29
2015-02-25 23:04:05

It's 2015-02-27 07:35:52 UTC now, so I'll update this in another hour or so.

I really think they need to work on reducing their incurred sending fees. I'm sure it adds up.

EDIT:
As of 2015-02-27 09:26:30 UTC no eight hour recent payment.
Block 345273 needs 3 more confirms, then payments might be processed, who knows Smiley

Most recent payout now 2015-02-27 11:13:42 UTC (that's this hour)

Keep positive, keep the luck high, and the orphans low!

EMERGENCY EDIT:

Shares and payout updates on the dashboard were slow to restart. Was stuck at pending shares and pending payout at zero, for more than a half hour it seemed, after the last payment I received.

The Share Information section was growing. The important part showing me the money was not.

Now it's working normally, but the pending shares number seems low, I put in a help ticket.

I just don't want to get this deep:
Block 340802  01/28/2015 06:58:45  Expected 41,272,873,895 Actual 302,468,215,493  Percentage 732.85%

Last 7 days: 128.39%
Last 4 weeks: 89.12%
All time percentage: 98.08%

I would rather see 100% or below for everything, but we are heavily swinging in averages lately.

------

02/27/2015 19:32:30 UTC Block just found!

@hollowtm, even on an Iphone, the website is fine on Safari. The dashboard only has one issue, the "My Hashrate" graph does not fit to the screen. Everything else seems to be just fine, but no idea if it starts playing music when a block is found, like the desktop version does.

Looks like finding all those blocks haven't really stabilize their payout timing, been past 24 hours mark where I'm suppose to have been paid.

@hollowtm, sadly it seems to be normal now. It would appear like some work was being done on things, and they might be delaying payments until things are checked out. I'm still on 8 hour payouts, but it's been 33 hours now. And that last block found hasn't been fully confirmed yet. So, it would be nice to have any news.

I have a feeling that s0br watches this thread almost daily, just doesn't say much.

We've always been paid in the end sometimes its late, sometimes its very late but they've always come up with the goods. Fair play I say despite all the doubters.

s0br just said on BAN's irc that he has been restarting the nodes due to some networking issues to the main db from some nodes

Here is a email I got from s0br in case anybody didn't receive it:

[Bitcoin Affiliate Network - News Update] Server crash and lost shares....
Mar 2, 2015, 6:46 AM
From Gil
Details
Quick update...

We had a severe server crash this past Friday. We were able to restore everything within a couple of hours. I discovered the bug that caused the havoc and my fix introduced new bugs I wasn't aware of. The stratum servers went up and down yesterday as I was implementing fixes that weren't quite fixes. However, along with the fixes there are some new updates in the stratum/database code that seek to make share counting even more accurate and reliable. There were a handful of stratum servers that were dropping shares so I need everyone to check out their payment history and look for anything that looks like lost shares.

Please submit a trouble ticket or find us on IRC on freenode in #bitaffnet. In your ticket response please just give a btc amount of what you believe is missing and we will quickly reimburse you.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

There are a couple of new features to play with if anyone's interested...

1. We now support fixed difficulties.

If you'd like to specify your own difficulty, simply add ##DIFFICULTY to the end of your worker name. For example.. if your username is MrCool and your worker name is Ant1.... and you'd like a difficulty of 512.... use the following...

pool: geo.bitcoindigger.com:3333 username: MrCool.Ant1##512 password: whatever

2. A lot more work has gone into improving the stratum servers. They auto adjust based on the miner connecting to them in effort to reduce your invalids and improve your miner's performance.

3. Nicehash/Westhash support is back. Based on the latest updates (this morning), the share counting with their proxies should be pretty accurate.

Thanks...

Regarding Fridays server crash and the message.

I was the first one here on Friday to comment of an issue. The problem is with irregular payments, the difficultly changing recently, me adding another miner, how can I figure out any loss more then what I asked them in the help request I sent in?

Simply put, I need to see more data. And thus I guess I will need to start collecting the data myself via the limited API available--which recently got a little better. Still hoping for per miner status, instead of all my miners together.

Yes every time the pool has a problem it seems it's up to the miners to figure out how much you loss. I like most don't know but when I get time will have to see if what I got makes sence or not. In the past most times I was getting paid every two hours and with the old bonus it really didn't matter but now with no bonus and changing my payout to 12 hours it does matter. I will say the few times I did send in for loss payment it always got paid without questions.
