@aurel57, can you share any insight into how to calculate any loss?
I see it as extremely hard, as the miners have jumped ship probably once a day to another pool.

That twenty minute outage on the nodes an hour ago I hope gets things better Smiley

Regarding Fridays server crash and the message.

I was the first one here on Friday to comment of an issue. The problem is with irregular payments, the difficultly changing recently, me adding another miner, how can I figure out any loss more then what I asked them in the help request I sent in?

Simply put, I need to see more data. And thus I guess I will need to start collecting the data myself via the limited API available--which recently got a little better. Still hoping for per miner status, instead of all my miners together.

Yes every time the pool has a problem it seems it's up to the miners to figure out how much you loss. I like most don't know but when I get time will have to see if what I got makes sence or not. In the past most times I was getting paid every two hours and with the old bonus it really didn't matter but now with no bonus and changing my payout to 12 hours it does matter. I will say the few times I did send in for loss payment it always got paid without questions.

You could might as well calculate it out on an average, lets say every 12 hours you get .50 btc but they only paid 0.40 btc. Just subtract the difference and ask for it.

Yes this is what I plan on doing. I am out of the country on vacation and will worry about when I get home.

back when BAN was having trouble w/ payments just after that horrible 700% dry spell and some of my payments disappeared. I asked in the IRC page if I need to submit a ticket and asked for an audit of my acct. 'Harrowed' stepped in and kindly sent me a link that showed me the logs that my payments were still in the system - BAN keeps good track of the information you may want.
A week or so later when some of us had a payout loss/downgrade when the difficulty went up -- I did not even ask; yet, a few days after I rec'd payment for that differential too. BAN and Company takes good care of us IMHO.

my almost 3 day results  are  .03930998 paid and 0.00195389  that is  0.04126387 earned.  in the next hour I will go over 0.042

1.3th for 3 days should be about 0.042 btc    I also earned some nmc  0.05  and doge 100

poolside has me about 1300gh for the 3 days  I did switch off on failover a few times.

I think this pool is worth some of your hash. -----As much as I want to put every machine here I won't here is my current mix

I have 1 sp20e here
I have 2 s-5's on kano's pool
I have 1 avalon on ck's solo pool  soon to be 2 machines
I have 1 s-5 on f2pool
I have 3sp20e's on west-nicehash
I have 1 s-5 on btcguild

my sp20e stats say I have done close to 1350gh

yeah I would do that ,but I sell my signature to west-nicehash and their pool owner-op is good to me..   Every day I have to check on 6 pools.  It does cut variance down.

I do use Westhash when the price is right but being out of town this week and my miners don't always come off there and switch over right to my other pools, so I had to not allow them to go to Westhash while I was gone.

And so far me renting hash has not worked out profitable to do it any more.

EDIT: I guess I did leave my S5's on Westhash and had them set for .012 as they switched over to Westhash a while ago. It's my S3's that sometimes don't switch back to my other pools after they come off Westhash and just set idol so I turned them off Westhash while I am gone.

west and nice hash are very good on sp20e's  since you can make 6, 7 ,8 pools  on your lists.

I do not use them on my antminers or my avalon

3 sp20e's on nice hash  paid at 0.0113 rate .    I do not do as well with the s-5's so I mine 1 here.

Is everyone seeing connections more stable now?

It's too soon to be sure to say, but I think recent changes done have already helped.

And does anyone have current month long benchmarks of pools? Like five S3s, or whatever, each the only miner on one of five pools. If so, where can I find or anything equivalent?

I rent out my 6 Ants on Mining Rig Rentals (MRR).

I can set up 5 backup pools on MRR -ie: for when they aren't rented. When WestHash jumps higher like it is today, I move WH to the first back position for all my rigs via a one click function on MRR. Unfortunately for me today, West Hash is even higher than i am getting on MRR but all my rigs are rented out on MRR. That rarely happens tho.

I usually have WestHash (WH) and BAN as my first back up for about  a 50 -50 split. Yes there have been times where BAN payouts were higher than WH and I had BAN as my first back up for all my rigs.

Other than the ease of renting on MMR, I really like the ability to see all my rigs in one place and how easy it is to can change the priority of my back up pools. So, I check here regularly: http://cryp.today/current. This tool helps me adjust my rental prices on MRR, but also lets me know if WH is paying as well as BAN. That way, i know whether to have WH or BAN as my first back up.... or a mix of the 2. If you exclude rental pools from the equation, BAN is always the best one for me.

If ban paid on time day in and day out. I would be all in.   since they have delays I am part in.  I do kano and ck pools since they wrote cgminer and truly deserve support from all of us..

I am also moody and can switch out to all mmpool.org or whatever.

Right now west+nice hash are hot and paying premium rates.

I've never had an issue with the website logging in. The last two payments received have been about 24 hours payments, for the 5th and 6th, but I'm currently set at 8 hours. That hot streak ended and the blocks have been longer, so everything is seeming normal. Normal except for the weirdness that went on yesterday as seen on the dashboard page including, sawtooth pattern, low hashrate, and other oddities with the hashrate.

If all the transaction costs are an issue, which they seem to be for the payment slowdowns, I think each transaction should be maximized for the 0.0001 fee paid. I could probably send 1 input to 50 outputs for that much of a fee--I see other payouts do just that. So that would be a savings of 0.0049 for every 50 payments, or 0.098 for every 1000. I just don't understand the reasoning for wasting that in fees.

.....Really?

So, over two weeks have passed since Mr Transparency (s0br) posted this:

I will publish a statement soon addressing some issues and concerns here. It's just a simple matter of providing more information.

To which I, correctly as it happens, replied with this:

...sounds a lot like this:

Anyway... I'll get back to you about those pics...

...which was the last thing you said on your scam thread before going into hiding for 2 months....... Roll Eyes

So that means you'll be able to go back the last 6 months & pay all the miners what you owe them up until the "issue" was fixed then? That's good. I look forward to hearing from everyone on here when they get what you owe them  Wink

Looking forward to your statement about everyone questions & concerns - this will be interesting  Smiley

As usual, & despite logging in many times, s0br stays silent. One can therefore assume that:

No miners will get their 6 months back-payments & s0br will keep it all.

He is indeed using stolen/unpaid for hardware on BAN pool.

Like his scam thread, s0br continues to avoid any questions whatsoever. Ask yourselves, If a lying, conning & cheating outfit like BlackArrow can provide documented proof - why can't Mr Transparency?

Please continue to enjoy your late/short/missing payments & I hope you are happy supporting a confirmed scammer/thief/liar  Wink

Wake up.

@ s0br of BAN: Stop being a chicken sh*t & answer the questions like you keep saying you will, or stay the proven scammer you are!! s0br/BAN scam thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=782765.0

So, over two weeks have passed since Mr Transparency (s0br) posted this:

Gil (s0br) sent us all an email on March 6th:

"Quick update...

We had a severe server crash this past Friday. We were able to restore everything within a couple of hours. I discovered the bug that caused the havoc and my fix introduced new bugs I wasn't aware of. The stratum servers went up and down yesterday as I was implementing fixes that weren't quite fixes. However, along with the fixes there are some new updates in the stratum/database code that seek to make share counting even more accurate and reliable. There were a handful of stratum servers that were dropping shares so I need everyone to check out their payment history and look for anything that looks like lost shares.

Please submit a trouble ticket or find us on IRC on freenode in #bitaffnet. In your ticket response please just give a btc amount of what you believe is missing and we will quickly reimburse you.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

There are a couple of new features to play with if anyone's interested...

1. We now support fixed difficulties.

If you'd like to specify your own difficulty, simply add ##DIFFICULTY to the end of your worker name. For example.. if your username is MrCool and your worker name is Ant1.... and you'd like a difficulty of 512.... use the following...

pool: geo.bitcoindigger.com:3333 username: MrCool.Ant1##512 password: whatever

2. A lot more work has gone into improving the stratum servers. They auto adjust based on the miner connecting to them in effort to reduce your invalids and improve your miner's performance.

3. Nicehash/Westhash support is back. Based on the latest updates (this morning), the share counting with their proxies should be pretty accurate.

Thanks...

So, over two weeks have passed since Mr Transparency (s0br) posted this:

Gil (s0br) sent us all an email on March 6th:

"Quick update...

blah, blah......

Yeah, I got one of those emails. So has s0br paid every miner back for the last six months? Seriously?  Roll Eyes

And what about his promise to post here? Hardly transparent is it?
What about the stolen hardware claim with proof?
What about him going into hiding after his scam was exposed?
What about the fake accounts he owns?
What about his fake pics he promised to "investigate"?
What about the two wallet thefts at exactly the same time he ran out of BTC?
What about all his lies?
Etc, etc.......

S0br doesn't post here because he knows he'll get exposed & ripped apart again, simple as that. Instead, he uses fake accounts/shills to post with, the guys got no balls to face the music & relies on other accounts to talk for him - it's pathetic. What's even more pathetic is that some people actually believe him, no matter how much evidence is placed in front of them. Seriously, how can anyone trust this scammer? His history is atrocious. Maybe if s0br actually plucked up the courage to answer peoples concerns/questions on here like he keeps promising to do, you wouldn't keep seeing the same questions being asked over & over again. Any honest pool operator would jump at the chance to prove his innocence, but s0br keeps hiding behind fake accounts & relying on a few shills to do his talking for him.

It's the noobs I feel sorry for, they don't realise - but the rest of you should know better, but if you still don't, you deserve to be ripped off by him I'm afraid.

@ s0br: Stop being a chicken sh*t & answer the questions like you keep saying you will, or stay the proven scammer you are.

Have you been a victim of dogie insults, neg-rep'd for no reason or been falsely accused by him? If so, air your experiences here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=905210.0
