Here's a new windows SOLO mining proxy!

Hi rascal71,

I'm mining on Linux, how about some source code?  Cheesy  Wink

All the best!

...
It will soon be available a version for Linux OS (I have to compile with the libraries included)
...

How about some source code? I would that like more than mining at some pool exclusively which could be dDoSed any minute.

Cheers

Can modify the wallet program, so he directly supports Stratum protocol.

Does anybody know of a coin that has stratum directly in the daemon? I could merge it into RIC if I found one.
Otherwise, implementing getwork or gbt in the miners would be faster

Never seen something like this. So go for getwork, or write a XPT to Getwork proxy in Python for example (which should be even easier to implement).

Who would be interested in a 'Virtual Machine' OR 'Raspberry Pi' image to run their own Riecoin Stratum Mining Server?
This would enable you to solo mine with the dga speed enhancements.

xpoolx now has enough hashrate for the chain to advance, but 230 blocks until next difficulty adjustment means something like 3 to 5 days.

I would help out, but the compiled miner binaries segfault (with Illegal Instruction) on my AMD machines on CentOS 6.5  Sad
Gatra ... if you still involved let me know how I can actually debug this.

To all the users/testers: Is this a valid software?

I can vouch this is valid software, instant support and no issues from the developers!

leonArdo@margin - you can ignore my last message, i have figured out the problem.

+1 ... Software and Dev's are great. Well worth the money.

How to recover a dead controller ? After taking the advice of KNC to try to get the other 2 cubes working. It required me to constantly reboot the miners to test.

But the constant reboots might have bricked the controller now since flashing the SD card no longer works. I have also bought 2 other SD cards to test as can be seen in the image. The controller refuses to boot fully, any  suggestions ?

One of the KNC SD cards broke as well on my Titan. Replacing it with a Class 10+ SD worked wonders. You can connect the rPi via HDMI to a screen/monitor and check what happens at boot time, this is how I discovered that the original SD card had problems. Copying a fresh 1.02 (full image) onto the new SD (and upgrading it to the latest version) is what I would advise to you. You can even try and boot the SD on a separate rPi B+ (if you have a spare) and check if everything is working correctly.

Good luck and god speed (in mining).

OK what left of the boards are now at professional so I should have them in 1 or 2 work days. Unfortunately Wednesday is national holiday. We could say it is independence day.

More than 2 days later incl. national holiday ... any breaking news?

Thx

Looks to be stable yes.

PING! .... Updates?
I guess the parts have arrived, are you in the last steps of fixing the remaining boards already?

Cheers

Was but the room turned into a furriness hitting 47Degrees, the A/C units are shit anyone any recommendations on cooling that doesnt involve proper DC grade heat extraction and recovery?

This is what I thought when I saw the pictures. I was laughing very hard when I saw the mining gear and the two little air cons on the wall.  Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I pretty much had the same experience in 2011 with the company which outfitted our new offices and therefore the server room (5 racks only, with normal computing gear ... no miners). I told them, when I looked at it (almost the same units you have), that this is not going to work. 3 kW cooling compared to 12 kW power consumption for computation. It took them 2 iterations (!!!) to believe me, upgrading twice, then replacing it entirely with 20 kW cooling systems. They could have had this done at a fraction of the price they paid in the end, if they would have asked someone who has a clue (not me, I'm not an expert in cooling, but I know when something is hugely undersize/estimated).

So my advice to you is: Do not toy around with stupid cheap ideas! Get an expert opinion and just spend the money once and not 3 times with BS crap. You can reuse the small units you have in your house (at home), they are good to cool around 50 to 60 sqm where people work/live (but not computing gear, except the odd PC or laptop).

Good luck!

They are not a scam but they are incompetent idiots that thought "hey lets start a bitcoin miner company, how hard can it be?"

Anyway, please dont post stupid big letter comments in the thread, it will only get you ignored.
Big letter comments/posts ... where? Didn't see any Smiley

And it is running... I hope it is same error on all of them. Also asked a friend who is much batter in soldering then I to help me with the rest. I almost destroy PCB in a process.
Sweet ... finally good news!  Smiley

Hi!

I added a zip with the OS X binaries here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/riecoin/upload/riecoin%200.9.1/
could someone please confirm that those work before we formally announce them?
You may need at least 10.8 but I'm not sure about that...

thanks!

I get
Code:
user@computer:~$ /Applications/riecoin-qt
dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libprotobuf.8.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/riecoin-qt
  Reason: image not found
Trace/BPT trap: 5

I would recommend to build a DMG based install package out of it.

I am not keeping Lucko from getting the board fixed. On the contrary, I have even provided the full schematics for it to aid him in debugging when that wasn't part of the original agreement. I have no problem working with Lucko to try and fix the issue, and providing him the tools he needs to try to debug it himself. I would (as I have in the past) debug it and try to isolate what the problem is free of charge, though what I am able to do is extremely limited without access to hardware. The only thing I am not agreeing to is the sharing of all the design files. Believe me, I want to see this resolved as much as anyone.

So Lucko,

when are you sending 2 boards to MrTeal? I seems like you have more than enough information to fix the boards but you can't. So send them to him so he can find the problem for you. Why does take this so long?

    one4many
I spent some time today with Lucko through Teamviewer while he measured points on the board for me. We did identify a couple areas where the idle voltage was completely wrong, so we'll follow up on that once Lucko gets some finer measuring tools for testing the very small components. It's not a solution yet, but finding out where the problem lies is at least the first step to fixing it.
Thank you MrTeal, Lucko .. at least there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.
