KnC said for batch 1 and batch 2 Neptune "All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment".

My order status is still "paid". When I asked for refund, I got reply from Anna:
"As shipping has already started, we are no longer accepting requests for refunds."

Then I insist that my order status is "paid", not shipped, and the reply from Anna is:
"Sorry, no longer possible."

.................................................

Ouch. call them.

call them, and for what?

Just say "European consumer law" and they will shit their pants.

according to http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-11-675_en.htm

4) 14 Days to change your mind on a purchase
The period under which consumers can withdraw from a sales contract is extended to 14 calendar days (compared to seven days legally prescribed by EU law today). This means that consumers can return the goods for whatever reason if they change their minds.

Extra protection for lack of information: When a seller hasn’t clearly informed the customer about the withdrawal right, the return period will be extended to a year.

it seems that everyone now has a one-year return period? but how to claim it? Smiley

But we are not B2C, according to KnC it's B2B.
And there are other laws i think

Here we go again with the "consumer protection law will protect us". Every time knc ship, this comes up and ultimately no one does anything.

When RealMalatesta didn't get his refund when he asked, he spoke about getting a European Arrest Warrant for one of the knc company directors and his refund came pretty soon after that.

If you actually want something done and you actually think knc have done something criminal, then file for an arrest warrant. Emailing their customers service team is a total waste of time.

KnC confirmed today that all Neptune "Customers who have previously requested a refund will receive their refund, they will not have any miners shipped to them."

They also confirmed that for people whose refund is not already in the queue and are trying to request one at the last minute: "All orders are now finalised, no details can be changed at this late stage. This also includes any minor changes, such as shipping address modifications. All information is now locked in and has been given to our manufacturing facility."

So if you hung onto your order right down to the last week of Q2, time to start planning on how/where to install your Neptune!

If you didnt fill out a VAT number when you ordered, then you ordered as a consumer, no matter what KnC claims.

the source of such information? until what time did they set up the deadline? I am not informed about this at all.

I asked Anna to explain what does "For Neptune Batch 1 and 2 customers, All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment" mean.

and she replied:

"This is not reconsiderable"

Who can explain such Knclish to me? Sad

i would presume that means, until the rig is boxed and shipping arranged via a courier, you should be able to refund.

Maximum operating temperature of the BMR46x series is 125 C.

http://archive.ericsson.net/service/internet/picov/get?DocNo=28701-EN/LZT146435&Lang=EN&HighestFree=Y

Elenelen, when you get a chance could you please read the numbers on the two black 8 pin packages near the side of the board and post them here ?

There is no way to read anything on those VRM-boards: completely covered with the aluminum plate.

Not the VRM boards, the two 8 pin packages near the edge of the board please. They are in plain sight in the recent photo posted here ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg7436143#msg7436143 )

Elenelen, have you had a chance to check these 8 pin packages yet? I'm curious to know too.

that is exactly what I understand. but according to knc, it is not 'reconsiderable'.

not that it's 100% accurate, but from looking (squinting) at the pic of theNeptune ASIC KnC posted on their forum page ...  http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/news-and-anouncments/44256-neptune-asic-card
to me, it looks like they (the VRMs) are version BMR4641002 (40A/ 0.6-3.3V Through hole and Surface mount) I can't really make out the numbers/characters after that though ...

yes, once you sign up hash while you wait, you lose your second neptune. you can write to knc stating that you are not aware of the terms, they should change it back.
