1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: January goal: Own one complete BTC. :) on: January 06, 2018, 07:22:36 AM
Well am a newbie in bitcoin but my goal for this year in bitcoin is to work hard to develop my account to at list St member and earn good payment from my bounty campaign to be able to open a business in my country that all payment will be made using bitcoin and not faint. And again my goal is to earn enough capital in other to start a mining farm of my own in order to contribute to the growth of bitcoin and at the same time make some bitcoin for my self.
1722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding will be a risk or not?? on: January 06, 2018, 07:12:39 AM
Bitcoin is a great assets and as an assets it interest grow with time, in my own opinion holding bitcoin is your great chance of making good profit as the price keep growing. But we must also know the volatile nature of bitcoin that is the price is not stable it can move up or down at any time but when you are patient to wait at the long run you will gain, so bitcoin as an investment is best hold for a long time in other to maximize profit.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a fluctuating value !! on: January 05, 2018, 03:49:21 PM
Bitcoin price fluctuations is the very nature of bitcoin and the general nature of the cryptocurrencies world and that is why their are term volatile. Bitcoin price will not and can never be stable cause bitcoin is volatile trying to predict has always been an efforts in futility and speculators has always been wrong about bitcoin price either predicting the fall or the rise in the price of bitcoin, the cryptocurrency world is a volatile world when it comes to price.
1724  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: January 05, 2018, 12:01:33 PM
Bitcoin is one of the Best and the leading investment platform in the century, let take for example you investment like $1000k in bitcoin as at January 2017 by now you will have almost $15800 as your present profit including your capital by now. Now ask your self which investment platform e.g real estate, gold and land can offer such mouth watering profit within this short period of time, so bitcoin in my own opinion is the best investment as at this time.
1725  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin so expensive? on: January 05, 2018, 07:30:07 AM
Bitcoin is so expensive if it will be converted to my country's currency it will cost hundred of thousands.
Why bitcoin worth that much even its only a cryptocurrency can someone give me an idea.
I think bitcoin is so expensive because it has high demands and limited supply, in the sense that bitcoin is gaining popularity now and people are rushing to buy bitcoin now because of bitcoin decentralized nature and great potentials. And the limited supply of about 21million bitcoin only in circulation makes bitcoin a very strong and technical, The value of bitcoin in the exchange market is second to none and bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies.
1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Damn fees! on: January 05, 2018, 07:20:53 AM
The hardness faced by bitcoin users this day is killing and this is due to the high transactions fees, which is discouraging newbies from buying bitcoin because in most cases you pay the transactions fees for buying bitcoin and again you may still pay it when selling your bitcoin. This high fees has halt many transactions and that is really affecting the price of bitcoin greatly, I pray the big guys the blockchains and miners will do something to save this situation soon.
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century! on: January 04, 2018, 10:55:22 AM
Before the coming of bitcoin there has been difficulties in sending money from one place to another or from one person in this side to the other person at the other side. There was restrictions in doing transactions because of the centralized mode of the platform's that was in place like the PayPal and the banks it self. But the evolution and the idea behind bitcoin is to breeze that gap is a peer to peer means of exchange of value and bitcoin has made sending money or doing financial transactions across border very easy without any interference from any body because of bitcoin decentralized nature.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is an Asset or Currency? on: January 04, 2018, 10:33:08 AM
Well some cryptocurrencies are a great assets and at the same time a currency. Because when you have some amount of bitcoin in your wallet and you leave it for a long time you stand to gain from your investment and at the same time holding a great assets in your hand. And secondly you can also use bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to pay for goods online or exchange your bitcoin to faint money and use it to pay for goods and services in the local market. So bitcoin is an assets and a currency.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin broken? on: January 04, 2018, 05:59:08 AM
Well at the moment the transactions fees is coming down little by little, but what baffle me mos is the fact that each time bitcoin increase in price transactions fees will go high why is it like that. Transactions fees will eat up all the gain you make and at times I use to feel that we are working for the miner's and  block chain's because they are the people gaining in the price rise in bitcoin using system to collect back the money but I thank God for the lightening network that will be lunch soon I pray and hope it will in eventually solve the problem of high transactions fees.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin or ripple ? on: January 04, 2018, 03:56:51 AM
guys

whats do you think and why ?

i mean in the next 2-5 years
whats your word ?
For me bitcoin has the long term potential due to the fact that bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrencies and has survived the market for a very long time despite the fact that some of bitcoin futures or technology are old and slow compares to that of the alt coins bitcoin still sustain it value and has a steady price rise. But ripple is just new in the market and with the fact that it has new technologies and futures with high speed couple with ripple rapid growth in the market it still dont have the ability to compete with bitcoin ripple is just like a grand son to bitcoin.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is getting low on: January 03, 2018, 04:41:33 AM
See it in this point, bitcoin price has being rising in the past months and no one complained but this recent fall in price people are no complaining. If we can understand the simple fact that bitcoin is very volatile and at that the price can never be stable and greatly depends on demand and supply. You can even carry out a simple analysis on your own bitcoin price is expected to fall within the period it deed one it was Christmas season and most people will change they bitcoin to faint money in other to spend good time with family.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin ng 2018 on: January 03, 2018, 04:27:15 AM
Well 2017 ended on a very good note for bitcoin and laid the foundation for the year 2018, this year 2018 is going to be the year of bitcoin taking over the international exchange market. Bitcoin is going to witness a great price boom in the very first quarter of the year many investors are going to invest in bitcoin and governments are going to embrace bitcoin for the economic growth, and the price of bitcoin is going to rise above $50000k before the year runs out.
1733  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does the future of bitcoin look like?? on: January 03, 2018, 04:21:18 AM
So Bitcoin's market dominance in the cryptocurrency world is currently at the lowest level ever with 36.1% of the total value.

In my opinion, it's because the interest in alternative coins is rising rapidly for one, but you also have to consider how much of the bitcoin world is criminal. Seriously, for the first 5-8 years, the digital currency was mainly used as a means for criminals to launder money and sell illegal goods on the dark market. Think of all the massive hacks in the early days also, and all those darknet markets that disappeared with huge amounts of bitcoin.

Literally millions and millions of the 16 million coins out there would be owned by criminals. And now with bitcoin becoming more centralized and less anonymous, they are swiftly exiting the market and looking for alternative dark coins.

I also personally avoid using bitcoin all-together because of the extremely slow transaction speeds and high cost's associated with it.

The bitcoin mining business is dust, so that interest will die quickly.

I just don't see a very bright future for the god of cryptocurrency and it will surely be surpassed by one of its rivals soon enough.

I'm torn between predicting it to be Dash, or Ethereum, and I recon it could be about 2 years before that happens.

Would love to know peoples thoughts on the future of bitcoin.

Where will bitcoin be in

2 weeks?
2 months?
2 years?

Will it be surpassed by another coin? If so, which one and when?
You are right to some extend in your analysis, but before bitcoin can be overtaken by any other alternative cryptocurrency is going to take a while is too early for bitcoin to say good bye in the cryptocurrencies world. Bitcoin is the king of crypto and at that it potential is so great and you talked about bitcoin being centralized that is not true bitcoin is the most decentralized among all other cryptocurrencies the recent fall in price is engineer by so many factors ranging from the Christmas celebration where many holders change their bitcoin into faint in other to enjoy the holiday with family and secondly the break down of mining farm in Japan which lead to thousands of unconfirmed transactions and further leading to higher transactions fees.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan’s economy could get a boost in 2018 from bitcoin on: January 03, 2018, 03:57:19 AM
Japan is the major market hub for cryptocurrencies and the bitcoin in particular and since Japan has embraced the wealth recycling method then many other countries will follows suit soon. Indeed the third quarter of 2017 was a very tremendous period for bitcoin, we witness price boom and that started even from the first quarter of 2017 so indeed the year was a very tremendous year for bitcoin and I believe this 2018 also will be great for bitcoin as more countries will option in to bitcoin regulations and acceptance.
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins become worthless? on: January 03, 2018, 03:45:58 AM
As you have rightly said no one can predict the future of any currency as there are a lot of issues that can have impacts on them in the coming years, and bitcoin is not and exception. But bitcoin has proved to have survived for some year now without any major failure and at that bitcoin is going to be around for some time. But what we must understand is that what ever that is of great value can also become valueless so if currencies failed it will not be a new thing.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine Bitcoin recognized around the world. on: January 02, 2018, 08:57:12 AM
Many have claimed bitcoin's adoption is fueled by the public losing faith in economists, experts, governments and corporations. As institutions people rely upon fail, they may increasingly resort to extremism and other alternatives. This could explain a rise of extremist groups and alternate lifestyles prevalent in this era.

What some deem human culture may simply reflect necessity and need. Bitcoin may not adapt nor change human culture. It could emerge as a preferred option if it solves problems relating to currency transaction, store of value and limited supply better than its competition. In that crypto's success in the world could be one of "survival of the fittest". Bitcoin survives and perhaps succeeds as it is the best suited to do so in a world where those living in poverty often have few or no options.

Bitcoin may not be perfect, but its transfer fees and taxes are still far lower than its competition. That could be a primary reason for its success and why it may be someday recognized around the world?
Well I don't totally agree with that assumptions that why bitcoin is being recognized around the the world today is due to the fact that people are loosing interest in the  economist, experts and government and co-operations as institutions that people rely on failed them.
I think the popularity of bitcoin comes mostly due to the fact that bitcoin give the people around the world the opportunity of have a secondary currency to do they online transactions with was, and the possibility of having to enhance they financial life through a technology that has great potentials to transform the world financial system.
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going to crash again? on: January 02, 2018, 07:02:24 AM
Bitcoin has gone too far to crash again, and let me even ask you this question has bitcoin crash before since it inception because what you term crash may be temporary drop in price which has the possibility of rising again as we have seen in the past. When you say crash it means the total drop in price to zero level and never rise again but in the case of bitcoin the price may fall but not to zero level and forks will always give you that wrong impression that bitcoin will crash but that is just speculation that will never come to any effect even in years to come. Bitcoin has survive that situation again we have cross that negative period again now is January and we will see price boom again very soon.
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reclaim its spot as 2nd highest market cap? on: January 02, 2018, 06:18:32 AM
The fact is in cryptocurrencies no one can actually and freely say what is going to happen in the market, for a very long time now etheruem has occupied the second position in the exchange market. But in recent time we have seen how ripple came and overtake ethereuem to become the second in the market today, but due to the volatility in price of cryptocurrencies you may be surprise to see ethereuem leading again in the future speculators can only speculates but the price is control by the demands for it.
1739  Economy / Services / Re: bustadice signature campaign(FULL) on: January 01, 2018, 03:54:54 PM

1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the newyear 2018 on: December 31, 2017, 03:01:30 PM
as we know that bitcoin has crossed its highest records in the month of dec we can see newyear is coming as per my opinion upto newyear its rates will be increasing more and more but after newyear bitcoin will have a huge dump but what do you think what will happen to bitcoin in the next year january 2018
Well that is your own opinion any way, I believe the acceleration in the price of bitcoin in the year 2017 is due to the fact that investors are now discovering the potential in bitcoin and are investing in it in other to make profit. And again bitcoin in 2017 made a major breakthrough in terms of price and popularity, but one thing is for sure no one can really predict the future of bitcoin in 2018 speculator's can only speculate and bitcoin will determine what will happen in 2018 let just wait till then.
