921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hyped by miners? on: October 12, 2018, 04:35:32 PM

922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is Adopted what happen to ilerate population(stone age people) on: October 11, 2018, 09:41:31 PM
That is the major challenge that bitcoin will face in the future how to accommodate the stone age citizens since it is design to be use by the educated and this will further hinder the adoption of bitcoin as the global currency because suce global entity should be able to be accessed by all and not just few class of people.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 8 reasons to start playing blockchain games on: October 11, 2018, 08:42:33 PM
Thinking yet? Let me help you.

You should start playing blockchain games, because:

1. In contrast to usual video games you owe products you bought for your game. And blockchain controls all the operations;
2. You don’t need to invest money to start earning;
3. You earn crypto;
4. It’s only in your hands. Nobody can influences your chances to win. It’s just you and your gaming skills: the better you play the more you earn (up to $3k);
5. There is trading too;
6. You have more possibilities to earn;
7. Competition is low. You can make a good profit just being professional;
8. DApps users number will be growing comparing to traders.

We you are right playing blockchain games is highly rewarding most especially if you are highly skilled and professional about it cause their are less competition there and you are in total control of the whole situation, but the fact that it time consuming and requires high technicality make it hard for most users to get the best out of it.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's High Volatility on: October 11, 2018, 07:46:25 PM
Bitcoin is highly volatile and at that it can move in which ever direction at any given points because bitcoin rely soly on the market forces which is on the demands and it supply so is the market that determine the price. Once this forces control the price of any commodity it will be impossible to have a stable or fix price.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: October 11, 2018, 07:43:07 PM
Market crisis has always being part of the stock market and this will not be the first nor the last because deep drop or a sharp rise will still occur in the future, so what we should do is to prepare our stocks ahead of such crisis and never give in to panic which most time leads to selling off of asset and resulting into loses.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is rare on: October 11, 2018, 07:39:14 PM
Bitcoin is rare to the extent at which the individual users view it to be, but the fact is bitcoin even if mind in totality will still remains in circulation because it is a redistributive commodity just like every other currency and the price will always be determined by it demands in the market .
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it true that bitcoin is a disaster for local banks on: October 11, 2018, 07:36:19 PM
Well the banks and the traditional financial institutions have seen bitcoin to be a disaster to them but the fact still remains that bitcoin and the blockchain technology entirely can not perform 100% without the banks because most transactions in the crytocurrency still need the collaboration of the financial institutions e.g bank credit cards and master card. But the bank have failed to understand this fact and have constantly seek ways to attack bitcoin because they view bitcoin as a threat.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2018, 07:32:11 PM
Despite the fact that bitcoin perform a very crucial role in the world financial system which is the redistribution of wealth most government of the world have push hard against bitcoin to the point that they constantly derive means of ending bitcoin due to the threat bitcoin pose to they financial slavery which they subject the people to.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales really control the market, or is that a myth on: October 10, 2018, 07:20:18 PM
The whales does not control the bitcoin market what control the market is the force of demand and supply and what the whales does is to try to spread negative news in other to influence the decision of the users to rush into panic and rush into selling off their hoding and at the end lead to market crash.

933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we Re-Brand Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2018, 05:01:48 PM
Well bitcoin is design in such away that any attempt to rebrande it will ditter it from it original form and that is even impossible because no one have access to that, bitcoin at this point don't need any form of rebranding and bitcoin is already doing well at the state which it is. Bitcoin will skale through the present challenges to becoming a global currency which will be widely accepted by all.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks will always be against cryptocurrencies? on: October 10, 2018, 04:55:37 PM
Yes in as much as bank will not have any option then to incorporate the blockchain into it system the fact still remains that cryptocurrency as a decentralized asset is hard to be incorporated by banks due to it own unique role which is similar to that of the banking system. In most cases blockchain is referred to as the digital bank so the blockchain will not be needing the bank to carry out it function.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: October 10, 2018, 08:12:03 AM
Well volatility in the price of bitcoin is the fun part of bitcoin as it allow for an unpredictable movement in the price of bitcoin and at that most users and investors are left only to predictions. But the most essential part of this all is that bitcoin can never deviate from it nature just because of how it users feels or thought towards it bitcoin is volatile and so it will remain.
936  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Makes Bitcoin So Special? on: October 10, 2018, 06:56:50 AM
Bitcoin is so special due to the role it plays in the cryptocurrency network and the ecosystem, bitcoin as the mother coin has made it possible for all other digital currency to have an image of decentralized nature despite the fact that some other altcoins are operating on a centralized mode. Bitcoin have also serve as the determinant factor when it come to crypto currency price progress and movement.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to prevent selling your bitcoin prematurely, use this strategy on: October 07, 2018, 09:38:13 PM
Many individuals get attracted to Bitcoin because of the potential ROI they see in the investment instead of using bitcoin as a day to day currency. Those individuals (investors) do every right until a dip in price of Bitcoin occurs then they panic sell (most times selling at a loss just to prevent more losses) but not all are that smart to play the market, making the most out of it.
Some individuals try the Hodling strategy but get catch off guard once they run out of cash are in need of urgent fiat currency then they cash out making them to miss on any potential ROI their investment would had given them.
Some even try the day to day, weekly or monthly trading but not all succeeds.

For any investor that have experiences any of situations mentioned above no worry because you can try the strategy in used below or take advice from other users replies.

My investment strategy, : (budget $20,000)
 Note: this strategy can work for any budget ratio 85:15 and was deployed based on the reason crypto is my only source of income
.
1: instead of investing all my capital into bitcoin, i invest $17000 in bitcoin, the remaining $3000 goes into 6 different altcoin (I.e $500 in each).you can draft out yours.
In a situation where I'm in need of urgent  cash, that's where the altcoins come into play. They would be sold and that way I won't have to touch my capital investment in Bitcoin. This enables me to HODL for as long as I want.

2. I participate in airdrops. who doesn't like free money? Till date I have participated in over 150 airdrop, one of the best was hydrogen token cashing out about $3000 cool right Shocked?.  The point I'm making here, is I participate in these airdrops to have altcoins I can turn to, if I find myself in need of urgent cash that way I don't get tempted to cash out my Bitcoin investment.

3. Join signature campaign, now this I was not doing until I stated spending more time in forum so decided to earn while I learn too. And so far, that have been going great and I haven't touched my initial investment in Bitcoin.

Now I know this might not be the best strategy you must have heard of, but it works for me and ever since i bought Bitcoin (late 2016) I haven't touched my bitcoin investment) in fact most times I even forget I own Bitcoins. Feel free to drop your strategy below, you might
just help a soul (potential investor) by so doing.
Nice investment plans there but you know because it worked for you does not mean it will work for others, as everyone has it own skill and luck some other persons will investment all their capital in bitcoin and still earn a good amount of profits. While others invested huge on altcoins that never made it to exchange.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When was the first time you bought in cryptocurrencies? on: October 07, 2018, 11:36:04 AM
My very first bitcoin was late last year in October when I purchase bitcoin valued at $30 and at that time the price of bitcoin was at a constant rise before the next 10 day my $30 bitcoin grown to $40 and I was super exited and I bought more $100 but I sold everything by December the same year 2017 and at that time bitcoin was sitting at $19500 which I made good profits.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be sent, received or traded (used) without the internet? on: October 07, 2018, 06:04:21 AM
I'm from Nigeria and as you all know, Nigeria is a developing country and when it comes to internet connections we're not there yet. I live in the city area but travelled to my village few days ago for an occasions. On the way, I got a call from a friend requesting to buy $550 worth of bitcoin, I tried sending the coins to his wallet (he's a regular buying so I already have his wallet) but the transaction refused to go through because their was no internet connection. When I finally got to my village the transaction went successfully because we had internet.

After this experience I thought about other remote villages in Nigeria and African countries that don't have the Internet 24hours if they were to use Bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general) for day to day transaction can this be done without the internet?

I tried searching the web but couldn't find any post that gives me a satisfying answer, so decided to contact forum user.

Edited: 04|10|2018 Can anyone verify this information, how accurate is it?.

Good timing on posting this question now.  Some recent advancements have just been made in this area.  The latest version of Bitcoin Core has implemented 'Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions', or PSBT for short.  It will effectively enable users to send transactions while offline in some circumstances.
Also just saw a post on facebook saying

The writer went forward to explain, 'The mesh network works for every 4miles until it gets to the nearest access to the internet. That's to say you can send bitcoin through the mesh network from one mesh to another within 4miles until you get the nearest access to the internet".

For now I don't think bitcoin sending and receiving can be done without the internet as the blockchain is a new technology that has no physical value and no bitcoin bank yet even the blockchain that is the digital bank only exist on the internet so at that the internet is the life wire of bitcoin and the blockchain entirely.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Shitcoin on: October 06, 2018, 07:09:29 PM
Investing in shitcoin?
Well, there is no good chance of having good returns from PRiVCY as you know this one is copycat only have no willing to develop in a good one. The team are greedy enough and trying to have some good profit. That's it. So, in my opinion, you should avoid this one.
But even as a copycat without intended developmental tool shitcoin have been able to increase in price to some extent, but the truth of the matter is the team is not greedy as you frame them to be but they lack the willingness to push further with their project. But since cryptocurrency investment is a risk you can still risk some amount you can afford to lose on shitcoin.
