How can airdrop itself be a scam? Of course, if they asking for some kind of deposit before airdrop - it's definitely a scam. there will be 2 options - the will get away with all money r3eceived or try to create Ponzi scheme.

You should be really stupid to fall for this type of scam. of course malicious actors are getting more sophisticated. but you should remember all those Nigerian prince scams - you can get millions of dollars, but need pay commission first.

it's because so many projects are low hanging fruit for hackers. No one wants to invest in security or just are incompetent to handle the real threat.

it depends on multiple factors.
Which currency sending, how high network fee is set.
And of course who is sending this transaction.
LTC and BCH transactions are super fast. (not mentioning near-instant XRP)

I think that bitcoin will fall sooner or later. no one uses BTC in real-life. however, ETH is heavily used for ICOs. Of course, for some projects, Cordano is better.

I think that most overlooked ICO are FourtySeven Bank (same as my signature).
last year i saw them on blockchain conference in Riga, Latvia. Professional team and realy impressive advisory board.

of course you should check - do they have at least demo product to show. second thing - team. Of course team could be made up or even sometimes team member doesn't even knows that he is on team. Third - realistic roadmap for expanding

Two of my favorite new projects are Medichain and Icopass , from old 47 bank (same as in my signature)
Medichain and 47 Bank are endorsed by John McAfee recently.
Icopass.id are trying to solve KYC for ICOs, so many shady ICOs asking ID for airdrop, it's ridiculous.
47 Bank are, in my opinion, most professional for blockchain bank

For now taxation are only for your fiat money. so if you are not withdrawing fiat from exchange - there will not be any problems with tax.
In europe you could try to hide your money from local revenue agency in another europen countru. of course not for large amounts and time
