ive said this many times, halving is priced in, those that want to buy already have. There is not enough buy support to maintain a pump. Theres waaaay to many people hoping to dump on noobs at $600+...problem is even the noobs now use google and have access to a wealth of information unlike 2013 when everybody was a noob, lol.
BTC is gonna dump real hard in the next month or so..probably back to $300s over summer...then watch out for oct ( good times begin again)
BTC will pump but only after the scalabilty issue is solved ( cmon dr wright, make that super computer do sum magic ) 2017 btc will be $1k+

bear logic: it will crash so i can buy back lower and THEN it will rocket to the moon. duh!

How about another bear logic: let some guinea pigs try to break resistance at 500$, reach about 550$, then I'll buy the next dip, because it should reach 700+.

Based on past wave shapes, this could form a triangle and then break down, from an overbought state.
For me the question is where will it find support, if it will form a higher low, then the bullish scenario, up to 700$, will be favored.
If it will correct down to say 410$, then we'll probably be in the middle of a complex correction and probably a much lower low looming.

"What am I?" is a wrong question. The right question is "What am I not?".

If we were defined by what we are not, the possibilities would be infinte.  It is easier to define what we are.

I didn't say "we were defined by what we are not", I just said that trying to define what we are leads nowhere.
It's wiser to analyze and find out what we are not. And the possibilities are not infinite, they are just bodily and mental phenomena.

Yes I know!  That's how a discussion works.  I quoted you and then I said something in reply to what you said.  Clearly, you didn't say what I said; I said what I said.  I didn't say what you said; you said what you said! I am me.  I am not you.  <-- see what I did there?

"What am I?" is the right question.  "What am I not?" would take much longer to attempt to answer and you would NEVER be understood.

By the way, I am not mean-spirited. Wink

It does take a long time to find the answers to the question "What am I not?", but if you don't try, you'll never get the answer (you have to discover the answer yourself).
To get an idea what I'm talking about, see Vipassana. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vipassan%C4%81

I see a fairly decent sized wall, and no one is talking about it here. Now I have the sad.

Edit: Wall shrinks

Yeah, Bitfinex wall grew from 1.5k to 4.5k, then shrank back. But it was enough to make me close my long at a tiny loss (slippage and fees).
Let someone else attack that wall with force, then maybe I'll take a little bite too. I was expecting a little pump, but with low volume a 4.5k ask wall should hold.
566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: May 05, 2016, 06:02:03 PM

EXTREMELY NEGATIVE? Hmm... Then let's show a bullish scenario, in which we are in a similar position with the 1st November 2015, but moving about 3 times slower.
If soon we'll see a pump and will be able to hug the upper BB in 6h time frame (2h back in November, adjusted for 3x slower), then a top of about 700$ is possible.

567  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: May 05, 2016, 03:50:18 PM
If a little pump can move the price above 455$ and keep it there at least 3 days, then it may be FOMO buy time, if not... price will take a sharp dive.

I with you (highlighted). I think traders expecting another rally to unprecedented highs are delusional and will get caught out if (when) we hit a high and head back down. Its part of the characteristics of wave B.

I'm expecting at least $650 and open to reach $1000, but doubt this is the big mega bubble wave some are suggesting.

My opinion though,could be wong.

Meanwhile, Tzupy, does this mean you are bullish?

The evolution of the bid sum on Huobi for the last 30 days suggests an upcoming pump.

I am moderately bullish, but I try to keep an eye on Chinese whale manipulation. Closed my long yesterday at 452$ and now looking for a new entry.
If the market will reach at least ~480$ and then find support at ~450$, the ~800$ scenario will become probable.
If we go slow up, fail to make a significantly higher high, and then break support at 450$, then IMO we'll test 300$.

Bulls showed weakness, but the bullish scenario is not yet invalidated. However, bulls will have to break resistance at 500$ within 2 weeks to make it happen.
But with the rather low volume and depleted bid sides on western exchanges, this looks improbable now.

This is just from the Craig Wright media exposure, which could turn into bad publicity. Don't pin your hopes on it.

Does Bitcointalk use ImageMagick? Because if it does, yikes...

Nice ask wall on Bitfinex, part of a risk reduction strategy. He should spread it though... Grin

Craig Wright better buy us up back to $452 asap

Yeah right... I believe that even if he is not Satoshi, he now has more wealth in bitcoins than in fiat, so... Roll Eyes
575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gavin confirms Craig Wright is Satoshi - Effect on BTC price on: May 02, 2016, 12:31:15 PM
IMO the creator of bitcoin was Dave Kleiman, and the 1 million BTC are not yet under the control of Craig Wright, who is taking more credit than he deserves.

so after bitcoin creator unmasked, and people trust craig wight is satoshi nakamoto the price will be back to $500 ? Roll Eyes

Market's reaction suggests back to 300$...

Frequently, you can be a reasonable guy, but comments like these are just way too much....

I didn't say "300$ right away", did I? But this dump is damaging the bullish scenario, so the probability of testing 300$ increases.
I wasn't shorting, on the contrary I had a small long, and the dump triggered the stop loss.
