I'm wondering if you've had any problems with the Paypal transfer service. Is it reliable? Do they lock funds randomly or flag accounts as shady or something? I plan to withdraw from the Paypal immediately once payment is received. Thanks!
Hi there, I have only heard of locked funds three times in six months and all the people had to do to get them unlocked was provide ID to verify their paypal accounts. However I always say use PayPal with caution as we cannot accept paypal refunds if they do lock the funds because they then lock them on our end.

Hi Jeremy,
Your site seems to be acting funny: I wanted to purchase something from Amazon. I wrote down my email, the country (France / EUR) and put in the required amount.
When clicking on submit I get pointed to a blank page and nothing seems to happen. I checked my e-mails too but didn't receive any either.
Hi there, Thanks for the bug report. Everyone seems to be having the same issue. Reported to our CTO, should be back up to normal shortly..

When I go to "Spend Bitcoins on Amazon" and enter my gmail email and choose USD and either the amount in Bitcoins or Amazon Value and click "Submit and Continue", I get sent to this link: https://www.spendbitcoins.com/convert/amazon/#with a blank page or "HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error)". I tried it in IE and Chrome on Windows 7. Yesterday when I tried it, it gave me a Bitcoin address to send to but always asked me to send 0 (zero) Bitcoins while saying the Amazon value was correct. I sent 0.15 Bitcoins as a test to the address it gave me (14xMTFQdzPdcSpQ71X8KnJn526VA4pQjjb) but have not got any codes in an email, only this response email: Time: June 24, 2012, 7:20 am (UTC+10) Amount: 32.64 Currency: usa Type:Amazon Amount in Bitcoins: 0 BTC Address: 14xMTFQdzPdcSpQ71X8KnJn526VA4pQjjb Hi there, Thanks for reporting. The site seems to be experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. I have reported them to my CTO. You would not receive a gift code for sending 0.15 bitcoins to the address because it only recognises payments of the exact amount in the quote. Would you like me to manually send a gift code for $0.96 or would you prefer a bitcoin refund? If so, to what address? I'm sorry for the technical difficulties. Should be sorted very shortly.

How long should this take after coins are received?
Wire is initiated on our end by next Australian business day which means it should be in your account within 2 Australian business days. Happy Spending! Jeremy

Just a question in case I need to use this awesome service next time: Which rate do I use to multiply by the AUD showing up on your site? Bank buys IMT´s Bank buys Foreign Cheques Bank buys Cash, T/chq´s Bank sells IMT´s & Drafts Bank sells Cash, Travel Money Card, T/chq´s Bank sells IMT´s & Drafts. Cheers!

Open for business! Please be aware that our exchange rates are now based on the exchange rates of Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Your total will show in Australian dollars but you will actually receive the equivalent (based on Commonwealth rates, linked from the wire page) - their 22 AUD international wire transfer fee. The good news is we already pay an extra 2% for AUD, so you aren't losing much to the higher bank rates.

Hi everyone. We've been trying to figure out a pattern with bouncing emails. Most emails get through to us but about 5% of people seem to keep getting bounces from us no matter how many times they try. Haven't identified any pattern whatsover yet regarding who this happens to. Some hotmails work, some gmails work, etc, while others from the same services can't get through.
For now, if you get a bounce, please send to jeremy @ spendbitcoins.com.au. That goes to a different inbox and we have had absolutely no problems receiving emails there.
I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused!
EDIT: Only seems to be a hotmail issue (see below).

I just found spendbitcoins.com but I'm still a bit unclear about how the bitcoin to anything service works. Is the basic idea we tell you what we want to order we send you the bitcoins to make the purchase on our behalf based on current exchange rate and you order it for us?
I'm looking to buy an album but the vendor only accepts paypal as method of payment. Can I use bitcoin anything to make this purchase with bitcoins? How would the process work?
Thanks
Hi there, You do understand the "anything" service properly, but the best way to do this with a merchant that accepts paypal is to use the "Convert bitcoins to paypal" page and just put the paypal address, order # etc in the notes field. Happy Spending! Jeremy

Sorry to bump an old thread, but just figured I'd mention that I ran into the same issue and give the details in case someone who works in-depth with bitcoin has more information to work with. Anyhow, sent a small transaction that had the status of "0/unconfirmed" followed by something about being broadcasted out through 12 nodes or something like that. Later went to just "0/unconfirmed" though. Status: 0/unconfirmed Date: 6/18/2012 18:33 To: 1LTnpXQHYCT5V7132AuGSW6jvnD2dSfMXk Debit: -4.23958261 BTC Net amount: -4.23958261 BTC Transaction ID: 9cf62b043a484baa76d98932d7307882bbbe9ff47ab45bbd33c79ec7887a8d33 It deducted the coins but never showed up in the blockchain. Someone checked the bitcoincharts for me as well for a low priority transaction that was queued but came up with nothing. Used pywallet to delete all the keys and rescanned (returned ~2.9BTC) as well as trying to delete the specific transactions that were unconfirmed and rescanning (put me at a balance of 0BTC). *Note: There was 1 other unconfirmed transaction besides the one quoted above. I did have an issue about a month ago where I got a message about a double-spend when my bitcoin wallet crashed as I went to send payment for something. The double-spend message later disappeared from the blockchain as well. However, that transaction was for 4.0BTC so I'm not sure why fixing my wallet gave me ~2.9BTC I've had 90 successful transactions and 2 bad ones within the past 30 day period. Grrr... I haven't had a chance to do this yet. I was hoping doing this would give me all my bitcoins back.

And our damned tool still hasn't come out! I saw an amazing update of it today though. I think it will be ready for at least Amazon US very very soon. Not sure what very very soon means in developer world though.

^^ ok, done and awaiting. hope i do everything right for amazon.de
Don’t worry. I’ve been using Jeremy’s service since it started and it is, without a doubt, the most reliable one in Bitcoinland. I've not been using it since it started but for a long time - and if I've had to contact him any problems or queries have been handled fast and efficiently ... I've not always posted here to say YAGT [yet another great transaction] but here's another +1 for spendbitcoins ... It would have been very near the beginning, I'm sure.

Did you miss the high today? If you have an Australian bank account or Austpost card or any bills to be paid by Bapy (they ask me not to use their name for trademark purposes so I've swapped the two middle letters), claim the amount you want below and include the bit before @ of your email and place your order at the website and instead of the amount shown in your quote you'll get 6.45 AUD per bitcoin. This offer good until 2000 BTC have been claimed below or I post a new message to end the sale. EDIT: Got what I need. Sale over (for now...) But our 2% over Mt Gox spot still applies for AUD!
