602  Economy / Goods / Re: Auction: Hawaii Vacation Condo - 2 bedroom Dec 3-10 2011 From 1 BTC NO RESER on: November 09, 2011, 10:11:10 AM
I am sure I will be outbid anyway but it turns out that my wife will have to be in country for the 10th thus making it imposable for us to go. I apologize for this oversight.

This makes the current high bid likuidxd at 30 btc if he/she is still happy with that.

By the way, there is no obligation to stay all seven nights if anyone thinks it's worth it to go for 6 of these nights or even less. Smiley

604  Economy / Goods / Re: Auction: Hawaii Vacation Accommodation - 2 bedroom December 3-10 2011 on: November 06, 2011, 03:08:19 AM
You are bidding on 1 week (3 Dec-10 Dec 2011) in a fully self-contained 2 bedroom condo at the beautiful Hanalei Bay Resort on Kauai, the so-called garden island of Hawaii. We booked it using our timeshare early this year, but due to pregnancy complications will not be able to use it. Luckily, it is transferable, so you can take advantage of this opportunity to get a full week at a super low price! Bidding starts at 1 BTC and goes up in 1 BTC increments by posting your bid below. Auction closes 10 November 2011 at 20:00:00 UTC (Find out when that is for you by clicking --> http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Hawaii+Auction+End&iso=20111110T12&p1=137).

the link says that the auction has ended

No, it says when it will end.

I've fixed it to make it clearer. Cheers!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50763.0 leads to an auction I have set up for a week in a 2 bedroom condo in Hawaii early December for bitcoins.

Happy bidding!

Do you have a reserve?
If the auction ends at 10 BTC, will you conclude the sale?
You should reflect your response in he original post.

Thanks for the input Yankee. It already said no reserve in the original post, but it's a bit wordy so I've bolded the relevant wording.  Wink

Of course you can. The auction only includes accommodation, so you'll need to organise your own airfares if you win.

611  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AAQ (Actually asked questions) for Spend Bitcoins on: November 01, 2011, 08:07:46 PM
It would really help to do a more detailed description of how it works and who is behind it.

I didn't find any personal or company information on this yet. Contact doesn't even tell an address! Chances are the moment I order anything expensive, the coins just vanish on me.

Very interesting though. If it turns out there's a safe way to use this: I got some coins to spend! Smiley

613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass panic buy when reaches $1? on: October 19, 2011, 03:42:46 AM
I would sell at 1 to buy 10000 in another currency.

thanks. good to know there's someone to buy from for $1 each... you want to set up a deal outside the exchanges?

Let's all agree to only buy at $1 and create a $7Mil buy wall. Remember, don't bid over $1. Agreed?

As long as everyone [else] is in complete agreement... <goes off to place his bid for 1.01>.

Just saw this post. I am an American living in Australia and have set up http://bitcoins.aunz.ws to allow Aussies to buy bitcoins by depositing cash at an NAB nationwide.

617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you done with bitcoins? on: October 13, 2011, 10:35:50 PM
Why would someone who wants out of bitcoins not just convert them into dollars on an exchange and take the money?  Are you seriously implying that someone would give up a good deal of money on the off chance that not selling them on the open market will somehow keep bitcoins slightly more stable?  Why not just put them on a USB drive or whatever-the-fuck and forget about them for a while if that was the case?  You're a retard.

'Hurrrrr, please give me free monies'

Agreed. Just think these posts are funny so I decided to do one myself.
