541  Economy / Services / Re: Creating a Twitter Group for various jobs on: May 22, 2017, 07:11:05 AM
Could you expand on how many real followers do I need to be able to get into this group?

Like I have a few hundred followers but that doesn't seem enough to get me enrolled to most of the twitter tasks on the forum at least because the minimum is around 500 followers, basically. But wondering if it's any different for this private group.

It's a great idea though, I think it'll save you a lot of trouble from posting campaign threads every now and again.

Thanks again
542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? on: May 22, 2017, 07:01:21 AM
Bitcoin was supposed to free people from fiat money slavery.
How many of us are now slaves to intense greed, expecting easy money, etc?

Most people cannot use BTC for moderate amounts of value since the fees are way too high, but the Bull marches on, and on.
Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? Does it feel "different" compared to the previous big moves?

Me.

I'm now expecting bitcoin price to rise every single day by $50 because that's basically the norm over the past few weeks. I've tried to sell some for cash and i did, but every time I sell the price just seems going up and my portfolio is going down in bitcoin value.

I know it's a bubble, but i'm not sure when it's going to pop. I don't think this isn't the top yet.

Right now i've calmed down a bit and aiming to buy a few grams a gold on vaultoro everyday just in case there is an overnight collapse. Better safe than sorry.

I believe that the real greed comes from gambling because those who are holding their bitcoins right now, should be more then aware then It could either continue to raise or fall once again, It's an unpredictable market, so putting everything you got in BTC and simply hoping that you will become a millionaire isn't much of a good strategy.

I agree. It's not bitcoin's fault that there is a bubble going on. It's the speculators that are playing around with the price here. I've lost more due to gambling with bitcoin than with bitcoin price collapsing - i can tell you that much.

DirectBet

What the...

That was completely unexpected from me because I thought that they charged pretty much the highest spreads in the industry, and offered basically the shittiest odds across all the crypto betting platforms and I really thought that they would have had a very good income source and would have wanted to continue the business running for ages before finally closing down.

Does anyone know the actual reason for the closedown? is it because a lack of revenue, trouble with licensing, money laundering accusations etc. or just are the admins bored running the site? I'd like to know the real story behind this...
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: high fees, bitcoin or ethereum! on: May 22, 2017, 06:34:54 AM
The fee situation in bitcoin has certainly gone out of hand. I mean I'm having to pay like 0.002 BTC in transaction fees per transaction because my wallet has a lot of inputs and I used to only pay 0.0001 BTC and still get a transaction confirmed guaranteed in the first block. And plus the bitcoin price was only $100 back then. But that was the good old days before bitcoin price skyrocketed and so did the fees.

I'm using dogecoin and ethereum as alternatives now to send micropayments across the globe. It's simply not worth it at this point to be using bitcoin as if you send a few dollars almost all of that will be eaten up by transaction fees.

But for big transactions i'd still go with bitcoin, because obviously it is more stable than ethereum, it's more trusted than ethereum, I believe more in bitcoin and i sort of agree with Lauda with the "centralised shitcoin" case with Ethereum although that's probably not the most appropriate word choices, and the spreads are lower on markets than ethereum generally when traded against fiats.
545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online games that can earn bitcoin? on: May 15, 2017, 05:15:59 AM
Is there any game that can earn bitcoin in some way ?

Example games like dota 2,LOL  ,Ran any MMORPG games cause faucet games are kinda boring. I havent heard any gaming companies that introduce bitcoin as their type of currency for buy and sell even steam doesn't have them yet their still using dollars to sell their products i guess no gaming platform right now is using digital currency.

But if there is please inform me thanks Smiley Grin

Boom! try chopcoin.io its basic but when you are competing against others for a grand price of 1 microbitcoin every ten minutes it can get pretty heated, fun and super competitive. you won't make anything significant playing though, just a heads! better to find something you enjoy doing that can be used to create a service for other bitcoiners that would pay 0.01 btc to 0.2 btc if you can do it well and on a large enough scale.
546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is all this new trading volume coming from? on: May 15, 2017, 03:29:16 AM
Bitcoin 24 hr volume exceeded $1 billion in 24 hrs last week (with the entire crypto market exceeded well over $2 billion). Thats like a 10 time increase over the last few months. At first I thought it was just pumpers going crazy but now it seems like an established trend.

Where is it all coming from?

What will the volume be like in 6 months?

japanese increased the volume by accepting btc? thats quite an impact. hopefully whatever it is helps btc and doesn't end up hurting it.
lets see if it will keep increasing it would be amazing to watch what happens when (if) ever russia decides to follow into bitcoin acceptance after japan and maybe well even see my country start to widely accept it. which is the usa. who knows maybe a miracle will happen.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: May 10, 2017, 04:37:06 PM
Obviously, bitcoin and overall cryptocurrency provides great opportunities for everyone to earn money, just through holding bitcoin.
But you can also earn on managing those bitcoins in investments.

In my opinion, you cannot find any better place to make money than just a cryptocurrency market.
It is the essential place where educated and smart trader can get good profits, and sometimes even steady: if someone is really experienced enough.
You can obviously invest the money somewhere to get some decent percent of return every week/month/year if the site is trusted, but still with trading the rates will be better.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: May 04, 2017, 09:54:58 PM
Well, actually this thread is already kind of old, because im sure that most of the people participating on this forum already know about that Japan has accepted bitcoin as a possible payment method. But im still really happy that something like this happened, after all we can always have many different countries following their steps. Because if the one country did something like that, then some of the others may want to do the same if it will turn out as a good decision.

The last increase of the cryptocurrencies price, was mostly because the Japan market obtaining more and more btc, and altcoins.
They made such a big movements, that it has resulted in such a massive BTC/USD rate increase, which is very nice for every bitcoin user, that currently has some bought.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: May 02, 2017, 08:34:12 PM
I think that we can list at least dozens, if not hundreds of reasons why people are still gambling, even if they are aware that in almost every case, the money used for gambling purposes are going to be lost during it.
At least, everyone who is smart enough and has some knowledge about it, will know that you are never able to make yourself profitable on the long-term: unless you play on negative house edge which is impossible, because casinos or websites of this type do not exist.

Every human has some desires, and a big part of them consider money as a one of these desires. In some cases, that is the reason of why someone is constantly playing: he want's to get a jackpot, to win a lot of money from this gambling activity.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: May 01, 2017, 08:50:45 PM
Yes and I think bitcoin is better then gold when it comes to an investment as bitcoin will surely take over the gold in long run and it will give us much better returns on our investments which may not be possible with gold.
Speculation is that bitcoin could over come the price of gold pretty soon because of the nature of bitcoin and it is limited in nature and with more user flocking into it ,the price is bound to increase with every investments and that wont be the case with gold, gold had its run a few years back when it had a good rally and people made the most out of that market and now it is the chance of bitcoin market to shine and remember gold is just a commodity where as bitcoin can be termed as a currency as well as a commodity.
I think that you might forgot about the very important fact: the bitcoin price already exceeds the current value of gold.
Especially nowadays, when we have seen such a big rise on the BTC/USD chart. It has gone up from 1200-1250 to 1330 (with 1377 all-time high) and really shortly after that, BTC just went straight on to 1420$ area.
I really did not expect such a high burst of the BTC price especially in the times when we see many disadvantages of bitcoin. There are many problems with blockchain network bandwitdth, I even have that trouble currently: my transaction did not get confirmed after 5 hours, when the fee is exactly 0.00035 sats. All that uncertainity is a little bit annoying for every BTC user.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: May 01, 2017, 05:21:36 PM
Gambling should be seen as fun, a hobby if you like not seen as a serious way of making money because more often than not you are going to lose.

Remember this - you never see a broke bookie or casino.
That is not necessarily the truth, it is basically all about the bankroll of the potential player, and also about how big are the losses that the other side (casino) can afford.
If the person that is willing to gamble his money at the casino or website, there is obviously a chance of such a scenario: if it is provably fair, because the game must be random.
Obviously, the biggest advantage of the casino is a house edge. It still depends what is the percentage, because if it is high then playing in such a place is actually a really risky scenario.

That is why I always gamble for fun, because it is hard to expect any profits from gambling activities.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 01, 2017, 05:07:46 PM
Im actually really amazed about the current situation of the bitcoin, because price exceeds even the last all-time high.
The exact bitcoin price in this moment according to bitcoinaverage.com is 1427 USD. It is an incredible rise again, and I dont think that someone have actually expected it.

It is hard to predict what is going to happen next, because this situation is really not certain. It is a rare incident to see ATH making itself bigger and bigger, so also that is a hard enviroment for speculation.
To be honest, I expect a falls right now, bitcoin cannot increase its price so fast without very important things solved, like confirmations taking too long/ too high mining fees.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: May 01, 2017, 03:00:47 PM
I d ont think why anyone may think that bitcoin is not able to bring income from the internet: online.
It is not so hard to learn about getting profits from the cryptocurrencies, sometimes even without any starting amount. You do not have necessarily to have money for investment purposes, to start earning the BTC.
You can simply browse through websites which list freelancer services. It is an awesome way to earn, if you are good enough at it: usually, you need to know particular programming languages, or anything else that will be required to complete a task: even the easiest one is payed.
Obviously, there is a possibility of joining the signature campaining, but everybody already knows that!
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins rising on: May 01, 2017, 12:25:26 AM
The alt coin bubble is going to end badly for people. I just hope that money flows into Bitcoin  Cheesy
For now we can see that the money is running away from the bitcoin, but it is obvious that this funds are going back to our number one cryptocurrency.
The reason is very simple, the altcoins are literally rising too fast, we cannot have such a rises without any consequences on the infrastructure, or at least on the other assets related to cryptocurrencies.
In fact, I expect that many of these most known shitcoins are going to get dumped in next 3-4 months, when people will find out that there is no point in investing at a long-term in something uncertain, when bitcoin gives us such a great opportunity- it doest matter that it is expensive, I would call that as a digital gold- you need to pay a lot to get it right?
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: April 30, 2017, 09:04:40 PM
I do not think it's too risky if you always pay attention to it. But, if you never pay attention to it, it might be risky, especially if you only invest in a short time. If there is a dump, maybe you will lose.

I don't think that there will be any person who will not pay attention to his investments as everyone wants to make profits from their investments and same goes with bitcoins too if a person is investing money in bitcoins then he will make sure that he takes right decision at a right time.
That does not have to look like that, someone may have a great investment and not look on it: just because he knows that the money in there are safe, and they are multiplying every day.
But being such a person is just something stupid: you cannot have any kind of a guarantee on the investing programme, or anything like that. Every single activity that is about getting returns from redistributing money contains some kind of risk, on a different level.

You may go with something extremely risky, such as putting up a lot of funds in a cheap coin, to get an insane return if it is going to go up, or you may go with something really safe such as going for long-term on BTC.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: April 30, 2017, 08:51:57 PM
Most of the people who uses a dice bot are using it to maintain a betting strategy.
But I just can not understand why do they do it, as all of the strategies will lead to a lose at the long run because the house has a rake over their users.

You are right about that part, where you claim that every single strategy will still lead to losing your funds. After all, the house edge is the disadvantage for you, so the long-term will be always on negative profit.
But still, you need to remember that not everyone has to do gambling activities for profits: for example, many people do gambling just for a pure entertainment.
So if you are doing this for such a purpose, you dont really need to care about the fact that most likely your funds are going to vanquish. You just have a fun from doing bets, and that is all you care about. There is no point in getting mad about losing funds, but you need to make the deposits reasonable.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost over 12 btcs gambling on dice on: April 30, 2017, 08:35:11 PM
I have always considered gambling in dice games as something really dangerous for my funds, especially if I go with some automated settings.
It is because the size of the bet pretty much does not makes any difference. When you are playing poker, even the video one then the big bet can make a good influence on the opposite site: and it may help you overcome the odds.
With dice, it is all about the payout you have chosen and obviously the house edge that is implemented.

I have always chosen the lowest house edge as possible, that is why I just dont play at many sites: they pretty much rob other people with that unfair rate, but they still have many customers.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: Where can i invest my money? on: April 30, 2017, 08:17:12 PM
It seems to me there is a very little possibility the Op has that amount of money and if he did then why he would say that easily in a public forum, he could have said that he had some capital to invest or something so the fact that he made such a bold claim seems like a sign this cannot be true.
I have always thought that a big issue on this forum when it comes to the other people posts, is that their assumption is that the OP or the person asking a question is rich somehow, or got a big inheritance: and is just looking for some way to invest.

First of all, nobody would have asked "how can I earn money on bitcoin" while having stocked, saved money. If someone has vast amount of funds, he is not asking other people for some advices to get them.

Same thing is about investing, and that is why all of us should just give a tips about the opportunities that are reasonable for a regular citizen of medium-developed country. It is more real for everybody in such a case.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 30, 2017, 08:00:31 PM
Im sure that this event was extremely frightening for people who held big amounts of money or BTC in there.
That had to be a shock for some of those people, because the price of BTC on bitfinex has increased very quickly. People started to buy the supply with the USD stored on account to transfer the funds out of the exchange: because they have blocked wire transfers ( bank blocked deposits, as in thread ).
It has caused a massive price increase after some time, people are probably still doing this if they haven't found out before.

Luckily, trading volume on bitfinex was not so high so it did not influence bitcoin a lot.
560  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: April 30, 2017, 07:18:42 PM
I currently have BTC1.5 in my wallet and I don't have a plan to sell it now since I heared from some spreculation that it could hit $2000 of its rate per btc. Since I don't need it, I can wait until next year so that it could earn upto 80% from its capital.
That's a good move, there is a chance we can hit that level and your money will double easily. If you want to add you can, just believe it
will grow overtime and since you can afford what you invested, there will be no problem in the future.
Maybe we will hit that price but it is not going to be a linear thing, it is going to be a process with ups and downs,  to me this seems like a nice moment to sell wait for the price to get lower and then buy again and obtain even more bitcoin.
The value to 2k i think its impossible right now or this year will be happen.. and i think we will see this price maybe next year..
But there is no assurance that the price will touch in 2k since we are just seen the price increase this year because of the effects of new events  and blockhalving..
I would not be so foreseeing as you are, because the block halving is still far away.
Note, that it is going to happen in 24 Jun 2020 which is pretty much in more than 3 years, we still have a lot of time for bitcoin before halving.
The important thing to spot, is that we are currently having troubles with the blockchain, because the amount of people using it is quite high and sometimes there is a big traffic, which causes the fees and confirmation time to increase.

Without fixing that issue, we are not going to able build-up the price above 2000$ area, on maybe even touch it.
Before miners will solve this, it won't  happen in my opinion.
