121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto winter is coming again … on: October 14, 2017, 10:58:41 PM
Agreed. Long term bicoin will skyrocket still but i'm not so sure about the next year or so when nobody talks about cryptos altogether. Since we're so high up right now it's dead easy for us to drop to $3000 in a flash crash.

I'm not saying that it'll happen any time soon, in fact i don't think that this bubble will end this year.

But when it does happen, it'll take a year or two for us to recover.
122  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports Betting Site Question on: October 14, 2017, 10:45:33 PM
Will there ever be a sports betting site that can beat Nitrogen?  I don't know how the rest stays in business because Nitrogen offers the best odds, offers the safest and most secure service and has one of the better selections of sports to bet at.

Tho they could use some prop bets to add some spice.  But still, I'm asking the rest of the BTC bookies, how could you beat Nitrogen?  I mean honestly...

Not sure. Competition for nitrogen right now is extremely small, probably only limited to cloudbet or so on.

Unless cloudbet and others start offering significantly better odds then i can see nitrogen staying in business and remain the best in the field of sports betting with bitcoin(if they do not pull a direct bet closure, i mean).

If fairlay gets enough attention, then it could potentially have a chance too.
123  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for 32+ investors, each with commitment of 1+ BTC on: October 14, 2017, 10:41:07 PM
We have decided to accept private investments in https://www.chain-bet.com bankroll.

Chain-Bet is operating since May 30, 2016. Here is our announcement thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1492457.0. Lately, we have some high rollers on board, for which we need to increase our bankroll. Instead of a few investors with BIG budget, we need more with small. It would help us to spread the word of Chain-Bet through investors.

In case, u r interested, please respond to this thread or PM me with the amount u want to commit. Feel free to ask any Q that u may have...

This sounds like an interesting proposal, though i would like to know how exactly will this work? Will you give investors all of the profits or will you take a cut from the investor's share of profits? What is the percentage?

Also, what is the house edge of this game? How much is average weekly volume?
Theres a lot of question since op didn't mention on what would be the process on profit sharing and besides op didn't even show proofs that hes the owner of the site ( I haven't checked it yet) Proposing investment opportunities without a strong valid assurance it would really be just useless at all to post into this forum knowing that 1 bitcoin is already a big amount and wont easily be putted on random places.

Well there has been no response from OP regarding this.

OP if you are not needing this investment anymore you can lock the topic. Otherwise please explain what the house edge of the game is, how much volume is generated from the site on a daily basis and what kind of profit sharing you are willing to do.

Thanks
124  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discontinuation of Card Services by Visa and MasterCard to crypto currency on: October 14, 2017, 09:32:17 AM
I just read about this article, don't know how true though but its something of concern to me because it seems no one is talking about it and with the three months time line, a sure lot of people might lose their funds. Also, a lot of projects are coming up and they pride themselves as card providers to make you spend your bitcoin. How do they want to pull this off? However, the discontinuance of service is for citizens outside the EEA  what will be the outcome of this? Will there be alternative around this since a lot of population will be shut out.

https://themerkle.com/mastercard-joins-visa-in-removing-cryptocurrency-debit-card-availability-outside-of-the-eea/

It was only Wavecrest. However, the majority of debit card providers atm use Wavecrest which is why so many people are being effected and so many businesses are not able to get ahead with their usual game anymore. Now it seems like everyone's doing it?

It should just a temporary thing, in my opinion. Hopefully.

I don't think that people in the US will be affected much, since they have coinbase and shift cards. However, outside of the EU and the US will be an issue.
125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Exchange] Liqui - trade and earn 24 APR on BTC, ETH on: October 14, 2017, 09:03:48 AM
I wonder where the usually very active liqui staff went? I remember back when they were doing their first giveaway to advertise their exchange they were extremely active. Now, they are nowhere to be seen.

It's kind of ironic that their name is liqui, because i think that they may be suffering from liquidity issues and thus support is worse than usual as well.

Don't think anyone's seen any sort of response from them since the start of September at least. If anything goes wrong, you can't depend on customer support.
126  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How I lost trust (and 1 million USD) in Changelly, be warned. on: October 14, 2017, 09:01:57 AM
Man, first of all you are one of these rare whales that actually bother to post on the forum to warn others - so i definitely respect you for that.

Changelly is pretty shady, to say the least. I'm not sure how they are even able to exchange so much coin at a set price without crashing the markets of ETH and pumping up BCH drastically and offer you competitive exchange rates.

The fact that they did not go through with their end of the deal 3 times is completely disgusting. I'm sorry for your million dollar loss, it's very unprofessional of them and i would not use them at all.
127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trusted Cloud Mining Oct 2017? on: October 12, 2017, 09:41:17 AM
Hello i just wanna to know about your opinion about Cloud Mining per October 2017 and still payout. Because till now i only  know Genesis Mining, Hashflare and dont know another Cloud Mining. Feel free to share  Wink

Cloudflare is not to be trusted after they decided that it would be okay to simply cut everyone's lifetime contracts to a maximum of 1 year. this is unacceptable, and unless you want to take the risk of that happening to you, don't use them.

Genesis Mining is legit, but whether it is profitable is another story.

I would personally just stay away from cloud mining unless you can refer people.
128  Economy / Speculation / Re: This month will reach at least $ 9500 on: October 12, 2017, 09:30:26 AM
I was surprised when opened XAPO wallet and the price this morning about $ 4800 but 3 hours later the price has reached $ 5180, amazing, this month the price will reach at least $ 9500. It's time to buy more and hold.

I really doubt that the price will double in such a short period of ime, even though the markets are extremely bullish right now.

I think that the maximum we can reach this month would be around $6-7k, before potentially correcting just before the fork happens. Whether or not the pumps continue will depend a lot on how the fork goes when it comes Segwit2x time.

Don't panic buy right now, that's dumb.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin do you Trust the MOST? on: October 12, 2017, 09:22:19 AM
What Coin do you trust with your life to put your life savings/gains in?

If you are to choose a cold storage wallet to store most of your money, what wallet/coin would that be?

Thx

Definitely bitcoin, along with either a hardware wallet such as trezor or ledger, or a simple paper wallet. Either is fine. The thing is bitcoin is the first crypto, and will forever be the most trustworthy one. Competitors will simply remain competitors, they won't overtake bitcoin.

However, XMR comes in at a close second. I think that the fact that it is fully fungible really attracts me and it's something that bitcoin lacks. I'm currently bagholding XMR for the long term and i know many others doing so too.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - HODL? on: October 12, 2017, 08:43:35 AM
I have some ARK - HODL or sell (at a price where I can make a profit)

SHORT TERM OUTLOOK

After the pump, there has been a correction of price that brought ARK down around 7%. I think that it may correct more before stabilizing, potentially around 25-30% below the high that was achieved at this week's pump.

Holding all the time is not a good idea, since you'll never be realizing your gains.

Sell now, buy later when there's no hype.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will coins like eBTC, eLtc, eDash, eNeo survive ? on: October 12, 2017, 08:40:08 AM
So many free airdrops in A very short time

This seems pretty hyped up at the moment, and from what i see it is probably not worth it to invest. It is as useful on the ethereum blockchain as a useless token such as UET and i doubt it'll ever become mainstream.

Do we really need ERC20 tokens for every single coin on the market? Likely not.

It's just as stupid as making a cXMR on the counterparty layer....
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LocalBitcoins Payment NOT recieved on: October 12, 2017, 08:37:21 AM
I recently sold about 0.13 bitcoins (about 500 EUR) but the guy who bought it said that he would complete the payment in 2 hours, after he said that he confirmed the payment without doing it.
Now I don't know if release or not the Bitcoins, I didn't recieved nothing in my Visa card, but I'm still waiting.
What will happen if I don't release the bitcoins?

Please help me, thanks.

Dispute the transaction.

this is quite simple to do and as long as a certain timeframe has passed you should be able to dispute the offer. However, talk to the guy first. Perhaps he did this by mistake or whatever and tell him to cancel transaction.

If not, dispute and contact support immediately.
133  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Payza: It's possible to withdraw without a verification? on: October 12, 2017, 08:33:46 AM
You can always sell your payza to another payment processor, then convert it into bitcoin. Or, you could do this directly.

I remember i used a service called changer4u and it was a good experience, however you should probably check the best rates on bestchange.com for yourself. Indacoin accepts payza deposits with no verification, however the price is quite overpriced.
134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ladies and gentleman we are now at $5,000 on: October 12, 2017, 08:31:51 AM
Congrats to all the people who held onto their bags.

Price is actually a lot higher than $5000 right now, at around $5150, nearing $5200. There may be a short term correction that takes bitcoin down to around $5000, before another pump to test the $5500 level.

But overall, $5k should be the floor now.
135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chart of the Day | Bitcoin is Today's big Gainer on: October 11, 2017, 08:44:32 AM
I think that we breached $4900 momentarily before getting back down below $4800.

So again, seeing quite a bit of resistance at $5000. There seems to be a bunch of profit takers that are selling at anything close to $5000. However, i think the pump is strong enough this time round to push us over the edge.

This should just the beginning of another big wave of pumps just like June-August.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: mining difficulty and hash rate - should i care about it as a trader? on: October 11, 2017, 08:43:06 AM
hello, dear miners
mining difficulty and hash rate -  should I care about it as a trader?
if I should care about it, can you please explain why? how and both of them affect the cryptocurrencies price?

Not really. These things do not really affect the price of bitcoin much, since it only relates to the mining aspects of bitcoin, though if difficulty and hashrate rises by more than 10% in one adjustment then maybe you should take a position accordingly.

If you just have an interest in how bitcoin is performing and how much hashrate is dedicated to bitcoin, then yeah. But especially for short term trading, these statistics are irrelevant.
137  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to Buy BTC for paypal - Looking for regular trade on: October 10, 2017, 08:05:32 AM
You mean 70%, right? 30% is the discount, not the amount you receive in bitcoin.

Thanks for noticing - I've changed it to read accurately.

Anyways if you are willing to take that kind of acut you might as well buy your bitcoin straight from virwox. No identification required and you should be able to get around 80% at least for your paypal funds instead of 70% you're offering here.

Tks for heads up - is Virwox safe - I mean will it risk compromising my paypal account.
Is there any risk that Paypal may restrict my account for sending funds to them?
Do I affectively pay virwox each time at the same paypal merchant account or do I transact (send my paypal) to individual 3rd party sellers.
Is there a btc talk forum guide discussing Virwox that any one can guide me to?
Seems like a good option, but want to consider the pros & cons & risks first...

If you're purchasing bitcoin with paypal, power is in your hands.

Virwox is completely legit and you do not need to worry about them scamming you. They've been around for ages and is the go to place for newbies that are wanting to get their hands on a bit of bitcoin but only have pp funds.

Plus, with the 35% discount that you're offering, you'll get a better deal on virwox.
138  Economy / Lending / Re: Invest in Sweeet's Business | First Legit Investor-Form on: October 08, 2017, 07:33:36 PM
Sweeet, so what are the interest rates? Are you open for negotiation?

If i got it right, you essentially buy VISA prepaid cards at a cheap price and then cash it out, buying bitcoin again to make a profit?
139  Other / Meta / Re: Connection problems. Too many RTOs on: October 08, 2017, 07:25:05 PM
Yep, i had trouble reaching the forum today.

Now it seems fine again but in the morning it was constantly timing out and pages were unreacheable most of the time. There were some times when it was accessible, only with a window of a few minutes, however.

If an admin can put an end to this, it would be nice.
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Am I Being Scammed? on: October 08, 2017, 02:46:18 AM
The money orders range in date from Aug. 1st to Sept. 23rd and are from Western Union, Money Gram, and Memo Financial Services.

Does anyone else find it odd that a person would hold on to $11,000 worth of somewhat old money orders?

It is odd and perhaps these money orders were stolen or obtained illegitimately.

If you're not 100% confident with the trade then don't go along and finalize it, simply opt out or tell him to instead pay you all by cash. Since you still have the goods on hand, there should not be an issue with this.

Yeah, I'm thinking of just sending the 3 units to him that he paid cash for and send him back the money orders. I did already deposit 2 $500 WU money orders from him but I will consult my bank manager on Monday and seek his advice as well.

When the buyer initially mentioned money orders to me, I was on full alert and very wary of an attempted scam. It definitely threw me off when he left the cash and money orders without taking any units. $10k is a lot of cash to be leaving with someone you just met. Although he does know my two brick and mortar business so it's not like I would just disappear.

Why not ask the guy himself? Ask him how he got these money orders, and why they aren't from recent days.

Though the fact that he didn't take anything from you, and actually left all his cash with you seems to me that he's legit. Otherwise, he would have insisted on you taking the money orders and giving him some miners, instead of not taking anything and giving you cash as well.

As i said, communicating with the buyer himself is probably the best idea.
