201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: escrow service? on: September 23, 2017, 12:17:00 AM
how can find escrow service here?

Use this thread to find your escrow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

If the fees are too high and you are only transacting for a low amount then there are some members with lower reputation offering escrow services for small amounts for free. You can usually find them in the services section.

The list is a bit outdated, though.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price you expect bitcoin by 30 September? on: September 23, 2017, 12:05:09 AM
I'm afraid after october will not finish the chineese problems, and after that there is the probably S2X fork, so I think it will be sideways until december. (3000-4500).

Agreed. price will likely adjust down to around $3000-3500 by the time the end of meh month comes. However it should not be a major adjustment because people have started to realize that there is only so much the chinese government can do to bitcoin.

A price hike is unlikely, however. The max price i would expect by the end of the month would be around $4100 or so.

This is because we have seen major resistance at $4k, and the news isn't all that positive.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what's the future of bitoin in china ? on: September 23, 2017, 12:03:25 AM
You'd have to ask the chinese government. It really solely depends on them and what they want to do with bitcoin regulation in China and it is extremely unpredictable what they are going to do until they do it.

The general trend seems like they are trying to just rid of bitcoin's influence on their country completely, step by step.

I'm not sure how far they would be willing to go to fulfill their goal. Perhaps they will ban miners, ban the use and holding of bitcoin, etc. but in the end, that's all they can do. They can't ban the bitcoin network itself.
204  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ViaBTC to launch bitcoin exchange overseas after Beijing bans trading at home on: September 22, 2017, 11:23:43 PM
Yeah that had to do it, otherwise they would have no way to operate anymore.

I wonder if BTCChina, OKCoin and Huobi would do the same thing when the Chinese government shuts them down(move to another country as their HQ). Either that, or they will start being traders on localbitcoins. The money that would be lost through simply complying to the regulation is too much imo.

Anyways, this proves that chinese gov banning bitcoin isn't as big a news as people rumor it to be. Bitcoin is global.
205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHLEAD.COM scam or legit ? on: September 22, 2017, 11:21:23 PM
Look they haven't specified anything on their site. you don't know whether they are mining or not, and they seem to have no proof of them actually participating in any sort of legit mining activity. This is most likely a ponzi scheme/pyramid scheme.

Keep in mind that all ponzis start out legit and therefore there is no big surprised that your friends have gotten paid.

Don't invest in cloud mining unless you're ready to lose money, even the legit ones.
206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone know best and reliable bitcoin mixer? on: September 22, 2017, 11:18:22 PM
Anyone know best and reliable bitcoin mixer?

I would recommend Bitblender which is in my signature. They are TOR based which means you get the most privacy, and they're one of the most long running mixers out there after bitmixer closed down.

Second choice would be chipmixer. They provide a very good service with an active customer support, the only downside is that chips sometimes run out and they launched this year making them pretty new.

Just don't go out and use random ones, otherwise you'll get scammed.
207  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitzure.com is a SCAM. Please red trust them on: September 21, 2017, 10:53:53 AM
Judging from the recent feedback from their thread i think that it is safe to say they are a scam. Though DT members will still need proof from the actual people involved involved, they can't just tag randomly.

Anyways their whole site seems to be a ripoff of coinbase.

I would NOT recommend anyone use them for any exchanges.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: But if China gov say mining is illegal, we are fucked. Haipo Yang‏ ViaBTC CEO on: September 20, 2017, 10:20:59 AM
Only big corporations running bitcoin mining farms and making bank off it will be fucked. The rest of the bitcoin miners will be able to go on their business as usual. Government has no way to enforce their laws if they come out with any restricting every single miner to mine, it's just not possible on such a large scale.

This is pure speculation. Right now they are only seeming to be interested in exchanges.

If they do get banned, price will take a hit but will rebound quick enough. As i said, it won't affect how bitcoin will be run in general.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $4xxx bitcoin! on: September 20, 2017, 10:15:33 AM
after the weak hands were flushed out for yet another time and whales took their coins out of their hands it is time for the FUD to go away and as we see it has. and with it the price recovered and we are heading back to normal prices after the correction.

i also want to congradulate those who bought the dip they are now enjoying nearly $1100 profit for every coin they bought.

Yeah the FUD went away and the bulls came back strongly.

The media seems to be portraying bitcoin in a positive light once again and that is one of the main reasons of this pump. China is still trading far lower than exchange rates on bitfinex, kraken etc.(western ones), dragging the overall price down just below $4000.

We should expect $4k to turn into a nice floor soon, instead of a resistance right now.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of 1 Satoshi rise to $1? on: September 20, 2017, 10:09:29 AM
the number of bitcoin is limited and it's not too big. however if multiply it with 10 ^ 8 .... so 1 sat = 1 USD is not gonna happen ever

it is really a matter of when it's going to happen rather than whether it is going to happen or not.

Fiat currencies are going to collapse sooner or later. We have to acknowledge this. Look at Venezuela, now 1 BTC is worth tens of millions(near 100 million, aka 1 Bolivar per satoshi) of Venezuelan Bolivars and who thought that this was possible back in say 2008?

I wouldn't say that it'll happen overnight. Give bitcoin a few decades to reach mass adoption.
211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchanges For Margin Trading on: September 20, 2017, 10:06:47 AM
I'm interested to hear what people find to be the best exchanges.

Inparticularly I'm interested in exchanges with a wide array of margin pairings.

I'm in the United States so Bitfinex is sadly off limits to me.

Poloniex is ok but they don't allow bitcoin margins, only a few altcoins.

So let's hear it, anybody have exchange reccomendations?

Kraken, Poloniex, Bittrex, Gemini, Gdax, Cryptopia, Livecoin, yobit, coinexchange.io, bitstamp, where else?

I would actually recommend Bitmex. They probably have the most lucrative leveraging out of all the exchanges out there but sometimes you are not trading the real thing but rather futures/derivatives which you might not want.

I would not recommend poloniex, as they have severe issues with their customer support.

You could also use Kraken, i haven't tested it out myself though.
212  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: StrongCoin Wallet issues on: September 20, 2017, 10:01:16 AM
Has anyone heard of issues with StrongCoin tonight? Site has the BitCoin price at $0.00. Wallet value is also 0, but the amount of btc coin in my wallet is correct.
Transactions are not going thru, even to another wallet within StrongCoin. Any ideas? Thx in advance for your help.

Talk to their support.

With Strongcoin pretty sure you're not the one that is controlling your private key, but rather an encrypted version of your private key is stored on their servers. Therefore, it is possible for them to not broadcast the bitcoin transaction onto the network when you request it and you have no other way out.

Use electrum. It's much simpler and you hold your own keys.
213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach $5000 again without China ? on: September 17, 2017, 09:02:11 AM
After the fall due to china ban , Bitcoin has dropped on short term basis .
Can it reach up to $5000 again without China ?

This year? In my opinion, probably not. But in the next few years, especially after the 2020 halving, it is almost a given that the price is going to go up to $5000 once again. In fact, i would even bet my money on btc going to at least $8k by the start of 2021.

But right now markets have turned bearish and i think will continue to be for a while.

China is a major player, but it's not the entire market. BTC will survive this, despite any shutdowns. But price will suffer.
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin below $3000: "Good buy" or "Goodbye"? on: September 17, 2017, 08:45:32 AM
Short term should be a great buy. The price floor is set in stone so it seems at $3000 right now so anything significantly below that will definitely attract a rebound as soon as the panic stops, to around $3.5k+ levels.

Though in the next few months if the panic ensues then this floor could adjust down and make it a bad decision.

I would say that if btc does go down below $3,000, by with 50% of your funds so that you have buying power if the floor gets decreased.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market on: September 17, 2017, 08:40:24 AM
Good afternoon,

in my opinion, we are in a bearish market, caused by all these days chinese news.

Sadly, the Bitcoin has broken the bullish trend, and next (weak) support seems to be around $3450, but I expect a stronger support between 2650 and 2850 US$
Wishing to read any better opinions.

The previous rise in price is looking like a bear trap right now.

Price is down 8.5% today to $3400 and seems to be constantly falling. I do think that the floor is still at around $3000 and should prove to hold up fairly decently. However, the Chinese exchanges haven't actually closed right now and when they close it's a different story.

An adjustment down to $2500 to kickstart a very long bear market could be possible next month, if BTCChina does close down and others follow.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash, Monero, Zcash Which Coins More Secure? on: September 17, 2017, 08:36:15 AM
Dash, Monero, Zcash Which Coins More Secure?

They should all be secure.

The real comparison is who is the go-to anonymous coin for users, and i believe it's going to be Monero.

Dash and Zcash both have optional privacy. Monero allows you to choose the level of privacy you want but every transaction on the blockchain is anonymous meaning that it is fully fungible. That is why i believe Monero is the best.
217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is CEX.IO a SCAM? on: September 17, 2017, 07:23:02 AM
I have my flat withdraw in CEX.IO for more then 10 days now, still pending and support server do not reply me anymore,so worried now

https://ibb.co/fLag15

I've seen quite a lot of people have the exact same problem as you are currently having.

I'd say that they are a scam, at least for now. There is virtually no support available for those who have their withdrawals held up. And a lot of withdrawals above $500 are being held by Cex.io right now.

Hopefully, you are able to get your money back. They are a registired company so that's something positive at least.
218  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: there is any market place like fiverr that uses bitcoin? on: September 17, 2017, 07:21:29 AM
i'm looking for a website like fiverr.com that i can pay with bitcoin for services or sell something and get paid with bitcoin. do you know any website like this?

There are numerous freelancing sites. However, there aren't any that offer you all tasks at a fixed fee of 5 dollars, or at least not that i'm aware of.

I'd definitely go with xbtfreelancer, if i were you.

However also look into the possibility of listing your services directly on the forum in the services section. If the service is in high demand then you should actually get more interest than if you listed it on any freelancing site.
219  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: end of genesis mining ? on: September 15, 2017, 10:25:56 PM
4 day in a row no payout .

friends that invest on ETH did not get their payout in the last 4 day.

Actually a guy called Boxmining on YT has done a video just a few weeks ago on the genesis mining farm, which means that they are probably still in operation and still mining. However i have definitely heard a lot of issues regarding the fact that they have delays in payouts.

Are you sure though that it's not either your contract being terminated by genesis mining becasue the payouts are less than the fees they charge, or just that your daily payout amount is less than dust amount?
220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: September 15, 2017, 10:15:10 PM
Thanks for the update Omega.

I guess what they are trying to get at is that though eden is unsupported software as long as you are able to back up your 12 word mnemonic you really can't lose any money. Worst thing that can happen is probably a bug with loading your balances.

I'm gunna prolly just stick to the supported version of exodus, for now.
