661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: September 07, 2019, 07:41:26 AM
I think there needs to be a company specializing in combating fraudsters.

There is one already and you have access to it, it's called common sense, just use it Tongue

IEO is a lifesaver for investors if not for this,

IEOs are just well-disquised scams, that's all.
So they pay a fee, you buy their tokens and....what guarantee do you have those tokens will be worth something? None!
But you fall for it because the useless token is already on an exchange and you feel like this gives them some kind of legitimacy. It doesn't.

Just because you know the team, you know where their office is, they are listed on an exchange, they are paying articles to promote themselves is not a guarantee it will not turn into a scam. Remember bitconnect?Centratech? How would have an IEO saved you from it?

I think your idea is right in some sense that they have hid themselves in exchanges so that investors would believe they are real but I think is still better than not being listed at all.

Now, with the coin in exchange, you can also sell if you are lucky before a shit project gets dumped finally.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xrp Price low what Reasons? on: September 06, 2019, 07:02:58 PM

But 100$ Why Not the Price is and what Goes down Will Go Up too.

Not in all cases and maybe not in this case Grin. Xrp is centralized, not like a coin that is decentralized. So it has limited subscribers because many investors wouldn't demand for it most likely that is suppose to push the price up.

How many do you have left... Huh Roll Eyes
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you can be the richest man in the world if you travel to 2013 time machin on: September 06, 2019, 04:28:09 PM

what would be the first thing to do and how to buy bitcoin where to hold which currency want to get and how do you plan to do that  Roll Eyes

You would have made some comas and full stops on the sentence for easy comprehension.

Well I would do is to buy enough and hodl till 2017 when we had the ATH but I wish that I could realize it was an ATH at that time Grin
664  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitcoin Bum on: September 06, 2019, 02:58:20 PM
Hey Op.. Guess your site isn't ready yet. I just click your link despite the risk since you are still a newbie. Nothing to comment on yet until you fix it up. Do that and users will take it up from there. Good luck
665  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Should I worry about my tax report? on: September 06, 2019, 11:46:12 AM
Should I report this as my asset? Or should I just ignore it?

I think it has to be according to the tax law of your domicile.
If you don't report your asset, would it be treated as tax evasion?

That is the question that you would ask yourself.
666  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Money is a too important matter to be managed by the State governments on: September 06, 2019, 11:13:50 AM
In the meantime we have Bitcoin and other cryptos to help us avoid the predations of the bankers.

I thought I read Op somewhere saying what of if banks forbid the use of...

Here, I quote "What if banks one day forbid all crytocurrencies transactions?"

I wanted to ask which bank  Grin
And then, suggest to him maybe he needs to do an editting on that. At least, as I know now, banks only deal with fiat and I don't think they will deal with crypto in the future and if they do; they won't have the monopoly like they already have with cash.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: September 06, 2019, 08:29:01 AM
Yes, gambling can make man destitute at any time. Gambling is just for fun only. Gambling is not a way to make money. I know many people play gambling to earn money. But it should not be done at all. Gambling will have to play for fun. Humor pressure can ...

On the opposite side, I know that when money is involved, then it won't be called fun, it becomes gambling because you are staking something for another thing bigger whose outcome can't be predicted accurately. Game is for fun, gambling is not fun.

669  Other / Serious discussion / Re: We are all $laves on: September 05, 2019, 02:10:50 PM
If you go in the rest of the world, you will find that Americans have a lot more "things" than any others.

I had this "cultural shock" when my country went out of communism. Now after almost 30 years, half of the people I know also "has" (quotation marks are very important!) houses, cars and so on, but they are debt slaves.
Actually I am too. And I find it a good way to dodge inflation. Of course, I hope that, among other benefits, Bitcoin could also save me from debt someday.

It's interesting that as opposed to Germans, for example, in my country everybody tries to buy his own flat (or house if affords it). Of course, the result is that everybody will pay for it about all his life. And of course it's counterproductive, since it obstructs relocation based on better job or school for kids.

So I don't know if this is really by choice or social pressure (!).

If you are living in America (and now in most of Europe) you are not raised, you are harvested.
That's this feeling that makes some people crazy and shooting everyone else.

The Elite need people to do stuff they cannot do. They want to be served. You may think that robots would do the job better but it is not true. The humain population is way better than robots. You don't need to repair them, you just let them die. You don't need to build them, they reproduce themselves. Just give them entertainment and food, that's not too costly and use them until they die.

They have locked the social elevator, and poor cannot get rich anymore unless they are chosen by them. Musk, Zuckerberg, Gates, they are chosen, tolerated, and approved. They are also protected. The rest have nothing to raise from their original status.

That's when Bitcoin came. Now some people from the plebeian crowd have a lot of money and have not been chosen... big problem.

I don't think the elite need people to do what they can not do rather they want to keep striving to do the things, the new things, the creations, the innovation....
... Talking on the acceptance and mark zuckerberg, I don't think he wasn't chosen and accepted, mark had an inspiration that he saw through while some with him never saw.
670  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Orvels "1984" closer than ever? on: September 05, 2019, 09:16:59 AM
From OP's post, I'm thinking what other way the social media providers can do their service without having access to the information logged in there to their apps provided for use like Facebook and Whatsapp as the point of discuss (No way), the information must be seen if they want to access it because they are regulated by the government.
I think the remedy therefore for the protection of rights is to sue if found guilty of illegal, unwarranted and unauthorised disclosure.

[quote author=ovcijisir link=topic=5171376.msg52187574#msg52187574 date=1566055741

For example apps that make us highly productive are given for "free".

This has two consequences:
      1. Competition is slowly dying - "free" app has monopoly
      2. When we get used to use "free" app, we will not have ability to function without them.

But don't you think that the apps that come freely that you, I and others install to our gadgets, that ease our lives in this digital age and also make money from or serve as source of money for us is coming to the world because of the very high level of competition. I think competition is very high now and every business is trying to survive, hence the making of various freebies to attract patronage. Companies have left making money through apps but have gone into making money through real use, end use as things like pay as you use or go, data and megabites usage etc.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 05, 2019, 07:01:47 AM
Some of us too have undergone that and still going too. Some of our coins are totally worthless now while some have been delisted too. Is sure a real gamble to hodl.

Good to know you later sell some of your holdings as at the time the market has gone to the current level it is now. I have had same experience and up till now am still yet to recover from the lost. I have been holding ethereum since the year 2017 till now with the hope that market its Market will return to where it was but to avail up till this moment, but my decision now is that I rather lose all my ethereum than to sell at this ridiculous value at the moment.

Yes, in your own case with etheruem, I will also hodl if I had the coin until it starts getting profit and I can sell then if I want to because etheruem is a valuable coin and will still bull.
672  Economy / Services / Re: Betting Arbitrage on: September 04, 2019, 07:27:39 PM
But you already gave a background that betting won't give someone means to living and sustaining and you are selling a signal too. What is now the guarantee to make it a living with your signal  Grin
Or it can only be better with your signal?
673  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Decentralized finance (DEFI) and its solutions. on: September 04, 2019, 06:33:11 PM

The ease of use of this system is amazing. Imagine yourself, in Africa, for example, Kenya, receiving a loan from the U.S, investing in a business in Australia and then paying off all your debt and purchasing a house, all through interoperable apps!

You killed it with this.  Grin
Not only Africa having that benefit of a decentralized economy, system or what other good name you want to call it. Asia, Europe, America and other continent are in with this and surely everybody can attest to this and even the government.

Another thing is that decentralized finance gets rid of costly intermediaries required to make remittance services more affordable for the African population. The high fees involved when sending money across borders hinders a lot of things including making it a challenge for Africans to get paid for work, they do with people abroad like for instance the common online writing jobs.

Intermediaries? Just say the banks Grin They are really ruling of flesh. They come with different policies all in the name of serving people better but that isn't true because it goes it inefficient and high fees for your transactions.
674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who Else is Expecting the Ultimate Rise of Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2019, 11:37:19 AM

If you think bitcoin will go down even more than you are wrong because most of the time the ups and downs happen all at once so when it dropped if it dropped only this much that means it stopped dropping, if it were to drop more it would have happen already so it will definitely go up.

The price is already moving up since 48 hours ago after it touched the support around $9,600 or thereabout. It is still a good time to buy because a resistance broken at $12,500 means further upward to $15,000
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Catex exchange e catex token on: September 04, 2019, 09:31:05 AM
Reading all responses, every respondent seem to be talking down on the exchange and no one provided any prove to back up what they are saying. It is nice to make people look their back when investing but a link too will suffice. I'm just balancing the the discussion because there is always another side to a coin.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FXCOIN | POW/POS/MN | A Crypto Version of Stocks on: September 04, 2019, 07:04:38 AM
Forex trade is a big and genuine business where you get your profit instantly on request. So if a coin also supports it, that is nice.
I don't know if you have social bounty running on this forum on the altcoin board, then send me a link or through pm then I can check it.

Because I don't intend to put money on any coin not listed in a trusted exchange.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: FXCOIN Discord Invitation Bounty Program | Payments in Bitcoin on: September 03, 2019, 07:11:58 PM
If you are purposeful and genuine. This board won't be the right place for this since is a bounty. Consider taking it here,  the bounty board.

678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 03, 2019, 06:10:46 PM
Spence is already tipping himself to carry the day. He is talking tough on the fight and looking forward to fight manny pacquiao as the next in line; excerpts from his interview,
"This is what I have been waiting for. I want to prove that I am the best in the division. That I am here to defeat anyone in front of me"...
"For now, I am focused on defeating Porter and gaining the  WBC title. Then I can think of Manny Pacquiao or in other names in this division,” Errol commented.

679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: September 03, 2019, 04:28:39 PM
My secret is, whenever I gamble and worn, I always make my move after win and tend to run from the platform, to be candid, this work in my favor and am not regretting be a gambler.

You got me there but a real gambler don't run after getting a win. It is that time to make more bet and aim higher, that is a real gambler for you. Thats when to look for recovery of losses.

Anyway, maybe you are a gambler with your IQ  Grin
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying Germany VS Netherlands Discussion on: September 03, 2019, 09:35:37 AM
I favour the match to Germany after reading through some past record and meeting of both teams, they seem like rivals especially when Germany beat the Dutch in 1974 to lift the FIFA World Cup.
The Germans have recorded more wins with landsliding victories, I will put my hard earn money on Germany.
