81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has there been a time when you nearly lost your faith in Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2013, 06:44:50 PM
I lose my faith all the time, everyday I wonder if it will go out of style and all be pretty much over, but then I just think about how useful it is.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if you want btc to succeed start dumping your iDevices/Apple on: December 12, 2013, 06:43:47 PM
You or I may not like Apple, but people aren’t going going to stop using apple products so that bitcoin succeeds, just not going to happen.
83  Other / Off-topic / Re: If avatars worked, what would yours be? on: December 11, 2013, 09:47:58 PM
does anyone have any idea when they will be back, if ever?
84  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would anyone Buy Phyiscal Litecoins on: December 11, 2013, 09:11:03 PM
I would, in fact I would be more likely to buy a litecoin just because it's cheaper.
85  Other / Off-topic / Re: If avatars worked, what would yours be? on: December 11, 2013, 07:11:52 PM
I don't know maybe just a pic of myself so people get an idea of who they are talking too. I've met people here in person so it would be nice to have some idea.
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 17 & Bitcoin Interested on: December 11, 2013, 07:08:41 PM
honestly what I would do is buy just a little, whatever the amount and then try to get a little bit on here however. I like the sig ad programs, the payment can be pretty good.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin cant be Money. on: December 11, 2013, 07:00:29 PM
it's a very nice post and obviously a lot of thought went into it, but the bottom line is, bitcoin is money. People will call it money and use it as such, best thing to do is accept it.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's intrinsic value on: December 11, 2013, 06:58:57 PM
I think the best thing a person can do is get the idea of intrinsic value out of their mind, then the world will make more sense.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Max Keiser Piss Anyone Else Off? on: December 11, 2013, 06:49:47 PM
I like most of what he says, but I can't dig his style at all.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 guy owns a 30th of all the bitcoins in existence!? on: December 10, 2013, 08:25:03 PM
I don't think it's a great thing that there are some people with all these coins, just too much power, but nothing we can do about it, just hope they use them for good.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long until BTC gambling sides are shut down? on: December 10, 2013, 08:22:16 PM
I of course don't know how long it will be but I have a feeling they will be left alone for a long time, likely years.
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: nsa and gchq have agents to spy inside WoW on: December 10, 2013, 07:51:24 PM
that's so crazy, I want to hear why they think that is needed.
93  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: December 10, 2013, 07:34:46 PM
I'm sorry I have no been following this issue, can someone give me the low-down.
94  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the U.S. government sell seized bitcoins? on: December 10, 2013, 07:22:11 PM
of course they can, why not? At least it will probably cost them more than they earn though, just because of the bureaucracy.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is political, deal with it. Welcome to Dark Wallet. Cody Wilson [video] on: December 10, 2013, 06:35:27 PM
Nice little interview, thanks for post it. I can't disagree with what Cody says there.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone have a simple explanation of Bitcoin even your Grandma would understand? on: December 10, 2013, 06:25:19 PM
In my words:

Bitcoin is a world wide currency which exists only on the internet. The coins are created by the users with special rules which limit the rate of creation. Bitcoins can be traded for psychical products or services by anyone in the world with almost not restrictions.

97  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sell your apple stocks now, war is amoung us on: December 10, 2013, 06:20:04 PM
basically no one is going to sell their apple stock because apple is not supportive of bitcoin.
98  Local / 中文 (Chinese) / Re: Shanghai Bitcoin meetup on: December 10, 2013, 06:17:49 PM
对不起,我不能说中国话。
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should i pay tax if i receive bitcoins ? on: December 09, 2013, 06:49:05 PM
I'd never recommend someone pay tax. But from a more legal perspective, I think in general tax comes into play when government currency is transferred.
