A 3D printer vending machine.
This would be awesome. If someone could figure out how to calculate material costs and time, an order can be placed and paid in advance. A bazaar type website could be built around this. It would be even better if one could upload the specs, get the estimate, and pay for the item. This is getting even better. +1 with hookers and blackjack are ya selling the 3dvenders or the objects by snail mail cause I wana go to the corner and pick up my new toy now like red box Looking at all your posts and so far you appear to be a troll. They'll whitelist anybody nowadays. *plonk*

I propose a voluntary shutdown of exchanges during the implementation of such a major patch until stabiity is fully tested. A bank holiday, so to speak.

Then they'll make a tv show about them.

Can you a little bit explain how this works?
If there is a private key under the scratch layer, it makes no difference how they play the bingo game, right?
That's right. It's a standard scratch-off game with a bingo theme. It may satisfy the legal requirements as the only way to legally to use scratch off games in some states for non-profit fundraising. I'm researching more about the possibilities and legalities.

High (implicit) txn fees reflect a combination of a marketing gimmick (rapid initial currency generation) and a poor cryptocurrency design choice (aka proof-of-work). A new cryptocurrency would need to be designed from scratch to change this. No one cares.
And no one agrees. Your PhD is in? I have a Postdoc in ignore.

IMO, BTC's bright future is in pension fund: The price will increase overtime and have high liquidity, one can save in BTC and when he/she retired, he will have a fortune to spend
It's more like a lotto ticket, but with a much better chance of winning. That's why I like that one line from "The Good Wife" about going online and buying one Bitcoin.

Can someone please make a meme with the dialog at the end starting with the "I bought a bitcoin" line? TIA If not, I'll do it tomorrow when I have time.

Cipher (or cypher) used to be used by cryptographers. This is technically what bitcoin technology is. Has the term been dropped by the cryptographer community?

In layman's terms:
They want to happily charge you more fees.
Nice. Thanks for bringing us back to the real world. Fees are the incentive for running miners after the reward blocks diminish. Keeping the fees under control, while maintaining network security is the goal.

I disagree. The purpose of life is to make more like yourself. Either spread your genes, your memes, or both. Your body is the vehicle by which your genes and ideas propagate themselves.
You will see that what people care about and what brings them fulfillment is consistently related to this. Note that you share the most genes and ideas with close family, then friends, then countrymen, then humanity, then primates, etc. About 99% of your genome is the exact same as a chimpanzees, 80% for a mouse, less for insects, even less for plants and bacteria. I'm not sure how to quantify memome similarity though.
Everything you say affects someone. Many Native Americans say your life affects the next seven generations. Just live your life like it is important, but don't take it too seroiusly.
