Very nice, but doesn't the very existence of these threaten the adoption of Bitcoin? Two years ago you could have made a 1 Million BTC coin and all 7 of you would now enjoy Bitcoin trading. There is a need for physical Bitcoin, but where do you draw the line?

Post photos of yourself doing crazy things that nobody else would do. Maybe people will donate for your mental healthcare! Hell, you could make a youtube page full of stunts in the spirit of the late Ryan Dunn.

This is an emergent property of this new paradigm. Modern monetary alchemists have produced arcane financial concoctions far beyond the banking system's quaint 10:1 FRB trick. Leveraging in big business is orders of magnitude beyond what exists at you local mortgage lender. Bitcoin can indeed be used to create new financial vehicles every bit as powerful and probably much more so than anything existing today. OpenTransactions is an example of what is only the beginning of powerful, yet transparent financing.

Even though it is decentralized, Bitcoin does have an authority with the ability to impose its price. Math itself can set the price. I've proposed this several times before that we should statistically analyze the variance of price and predict its value as a mean. A reported price this way will serve as a psychological dampener to the volatility.

I believe that HFT pump and dump bots cause the instability of Bitcoin price. Why don't we just make Bitcoin a decentralized fiat currency with greater stability?

Taxes can also be assessed by requiring green or whitelisted address registered with the state. Outside the country, the currency can be spent tax free, but will need to be re-registered and taxed when brought back and spent.

RepRap has been around since 2004. RepRap is an amazing open source project that someday everyone will know about. Bitcoin and RepRap have a lot in common. In fact, it's their common emergent properties that will allow them to work well together. I've wanted a 3D printer since the late 1980s. RepRap is close to making a good affordable desktop model, but the quality still has a way to go.

Bitcoin is still pretty small potatoes. Giving them to big charities is kinda like tipping with loose change. Save your Bitcoin for the unique things for which it was designed. Bitcoin will have its day and naysayers will one day regret not accepting them sooner.

I haven't researched light viewing so much yet. I'm still not sure it is legal to sell games like this even for charity in the US. I'm sure that the scratch off material itself is very light proof. The cards I'm making are just a mock-up for fun. This project requires production methods not available from traditional scratch-off printing services. I'll need a customized design and strict protocols will need to be followed. This can be done on a small scale easily enough, but it's very labor intensive. I know what I want to make it work and scalable, but have limited resources at the moment for development. I'm not in a big hurry, because the Bitcoin tools are still too immature.

What I hope to do is get local business to sell these games on behalf of charities. Winners would be able to redeem them anywhere, even at home. People can have parties playing these games and shop online with their winnings. My only real issue is its legality. It's a little too much like lottery games even though in many US states Bingo is legal for charity purposes.

I hope this is a complete slam against Bitcoin. I hope they take all the ridiculous hyperbole and attempt to show Bitcoin as the currency used by the Axis of Evil.

Somehow I get the feeling this is going to bring FUD to a whole new level.
