Then me happy. Because me won big profit.. and all my village happy.
But then we sad... in 5 year time.. we see...silly to sell the bitcoin now...should wait... = bigger profit = more happy.
But we no see big picture....too sad.

Ethereum has managed to build an entire ecosystem of Dapps in 1 year.
Nobody is using it because it is useless. Ethereum is pumped by the stupidity of some 'professional' investors that hope to catch up what they have missed when bitcoin was at 2 digit price. And almost nobody is using Bitcoin (1M out of 7 billion people). Bitcoin was pumped to insane prices by MtGox/WillyBot/Karpeles and his Cat or only China with the purpose of getting its value at over 2 digits, and making themselves rich in the process by dumping on the bigger fools. They've succeeded. I have my skepticism in regards to Ethereum, just as with every crypto project, but the level of ignorance in the bitcoin community when it comes to other technologies is as high as the late 2013 fabricated chart. Good lad.. to you bitcoin is JUST a market. Nothing else, right? Not a network, or a protocol, or programmable 'sound money', or digital gold, or any of that shite. If you'Re not grasping what's going on here.. I don't have time to explain it to you: "Professional Investor" - BTW - Professional Investor?? that's the worst screen-name I've seen here yet. Again. I don't have time to explain it to you. It just is. |

I'm looking at tradeblock and it is showing blocks being made with average 4 minutes apart!! That's crazy.. difficulty is supposed to keep re-targeting for a time of 10 minutes. You could imagine him changing his tune quickly, if he was really considered/nominated for the Nobel prize.....

A flash-crash.. maybe a really big one.. but I'd expect there would be market depth and people trying to take advantage of a shake out.
So, it would be difficult to predict without being able to see the 'then' market conditions..
But my guess is, there will be a shakeout.. there will be panic.. the weak hands will sell.. the price will rebound from a lower support range almost immediately.. and in a couple of hours it will all be over.
There could possibly be some repeating of the above in the following days, but not as violent as the main shake out event.
Once the weak hands have been shaken out / sold.. we continue to go up. Then the real fireworks can start.
I don't proclaim to be any sort of expert. This is all just based on my opinion, which is only based on being interested in and observing the bitcoin market for the last 3 years more or less.

You want to see real profit? Or you want to just make a short term buck or two?
Simple laws of supply and demand say that when supply is less than demand, price goes up.
Think of that like a see-saw.
Bitcoin new coin supply will be cut in half, roughly around mid July, i believe.
Ergo, the price goes up.
Magic!!! Everybody profits!!!
But wait..hold on! Bitcoin is a complex enough market...in that it is a bit unpredictable.
If everyone is expecting profit...and everyone buys bitcoins... and everyone is waiting for X to happen, once Y happens...
Nobody can actually predict that. Because we EXPECT something.. (esp. in the bitcoin market) is absoulutely NO guarantee it will happen.
In fact, bitcoin has a habit of doing the opposite of what is expected of it and usually with unexpected timing..
I don't expect miracles with the halving event. Maybe top out around $650
In fact, i expect pumps and shake outs and many people will sell... and when all the weak 'just here for a quick buck, but sorry wifey, i lost our money' guys are shaken out.. then the real rise up starts.
Be careful.
Edit: I think that if you are taking a longer-term view, say, 3+ years, now would be a good entry point. I expect the real fireworks to start 3-6 months after the halving. I myself have bought a bit more this week and have sent more cash to Stamp last night.
