B. You seem to not care at all that you are Insolvent and there's no way at all you can pay back all the Coins you owe and you seem to not at all care. Every time anyone questions you as to When the repayments are going to be made or what your plan is CryptoRush.in "mysteriously" goes offline.

This is the point I made a long time ago. While their intent to try and pay back users is "nice", the lack of ability to ever do so makes it somewhat moot. Mathematically speaking, we'll be long dead before even a fraction of payback could ever result, and this is if fees were 10% or more.

I also have to wonder why it's taken almost a year to finalize an audit to determine what's toast and what isn't, particularly since there is no 'partial repayment' being made. It's database info right? You don't need the blockchain data to determine what happened, you look into your exchange database. The blockchain data should merely support the analysis. You align the data--what's left, what went missing, what should've been there--and then run some scripts to do the analysis. This is, at most, a month's work of work, but more properly in the right hands, maybe a week. If it's more complex than that, then explain your methods. Perhaps folks can assist by providing better methods.

Its not going... With all the regulations on cryptocurrency's in the USA it would cost allot of money to get off the ground.
At this point I have been pretty much bled dry by snakes.
I am probably going to chalk it up as a failure and try to start paying some of it back soon from another project I have going.
I have learned allot though through this whole ordeal at least I can say that.

I wouldn't mind putting in some time in cubits again setting up a web site ect..

How's BitBay going for you?

You should probably update the thread to that effect then.

proving their lack of comprehension in public forums.

To be fair, this really shouldn't be a phrase anyone associated with the exchange should be using. Considering the history.

And that was before they took a bunch of extra money from a business investor.

It also stands to reason that many people will buy into a pre-order of a product when a company says they're going to stick around and continue building out machines. It's reasonable in people's minds because pre-orders usually cost more, as the first batch is the R&D batch with the highest costs. Normally after this, companies will keep that gear in a production lineup, and the purchase cost goes down--while giving customers a chance at a new generation if they wish.

What happened was KNC just kept changing generations. They could've added new generations while continue to create the original Jupiter lineup, but they probably feared that people would rather buy a known-functional product than to chance money with a new design, so they forced returning customers to stick with only one choice: new generation equipment each time.

One of the main reasons a company does this is if they're not truly supporting the customer, but if they're supporting themselves--which we know to be true. They kept and mine with more hardware than they admitted to originally, using the customers' crowd-sourcing to fund their new designs to provide themselves better equipment at no cost.

I asked several times in the past if you guys were going to work on repaying the partial loss people had when trying to dump their coins out of the exchange, when it became apparent that the exchange was compromised. People began cross-trading their valuable coins to any means available in order to pull out what value they could--this was also the suggestion of the then owners.

I lost about 13k POT having to dump it through other coins. I know others lost other coins that way.

Or was the only plan to reimburse whole losses? Not that mathematically it's even possible, but it's nice to discuss.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotCoin | THE OFFICIAL COIN FOR THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY | Launched 01/21 @ 4:20 on: February 23, 2015, 03:29:37 PM
We will be establishing a better communication path to the PotCoin community very soon. I can't say much about the PotCoin 3.0 plans yet since we are finalizing plans before the end of this month, but I can tell you that there will be a some big news coming up in the next couple of weeks that the community will be pleased with.

One of the many goals is to ensure the community has the opportunity to have a larger role in the coin and that they feel supported in their endeavors. We also aim to make online merchant adoption far easier, along with universal applications for consumer to merchant transactions. Some changes will be swift over the next two months. Others, such as software development and third party integration, are time and budget bound and in some cases dependent on future tech, so please be patient and know that this is far from a dead coin. Honestly, for a 1 year start-up tech company I would be generally happy with the results, but the cryptocurrency industry can be brutal at times. Keep in mind that PotCoin is unique in that we serve a specific community and culture where our strategies put less of a priority on software development in comparison to community adoption.

Wasn't that the same mantra of PotCoin 2.0 ??

I expect the Colorado M.E.D. to be content, or at least officially take no position with the use of virtual currencies for the exchange of marijuana in Colorado (as expected). Our attorneys and I have worked on this for some time now and feel that it will set a historical precedent in the industry by removing concerns for dispensary owners, growers and manufacturers of infused products in Colorado. We are fortunate that Colorado, unlike Washington and Oregon, allows for public submission of requests for a statement of position on their rulings. This will serve a unique advantage in my local territory and will shape history by setting a precedent for other legalized states moving forward.

That's positive news.

The time for that was like.. June.. August at the latest. Good luck now. Talk to retro, and look at the fightalpha forums.

This is crazy. I would much rather just have an inefficient unit than no unit at all.

Soon you'll see their equipment in marine shops, being sold as rowboat drift anchors.

Looks like my post forced Alpha to respond, check out their latest update--it's even more of a circus clown car ride than I could've imagined: https://alpha-t.net/news/developmental-update-08022015/

Quote
"We encountered a few issues with finalizing development ..."

Oh boy, who would've seen this coming?

Quote
"Our system design process is currently going through some tweaking so we can identify the best solution ..."

In other words, your first second THIRD(?) DESIGN HAS FAILED. Tweaking? Tweaking is a few pieces of code change. They're examining DC regulator swaps and board changes!

Quote
"We could have taken the easy way out and shipped sooner like other companies but we didn’t want potentiality faulty and underperforming hardware that lacked durability ..."

Rather than ship anything at all when it would at least make something in return, even if it was a worthless amount of crypto, what they're doing is trying to refine efficiency so as to make it seem like they're being helpful. Any percent of efficiency gains would be more than lost because difficulty hops quicker.

I don't think any of the world's best horror / comedy writers could've come up with a more entertaining batch crap than Alpha has. They find new ways to drag and beat the carcass down the road, every single time.

I feel like they should at least ship out something, maybe a box of pencils with the person's name on it or something. At least then folks could solve for hashes by hand using some paper.

It's been about 51 days since the photo was taken of the infamous board hashing: https://alpha-t.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/IMG_20141219_1219081.jpg

Where's all the people who were saying they'd ship by October? There were a handful of them, praising Alpha. Maybe they have a board? Smiley

Maybe Alpha will have another update of delays soon?

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: February 06, 2015, 06:50:11 PM
Judging from their last update, I thought they were close to shipping something.  The lack of communication from them is disappointing.

Particularly upsetting for folks involved in this mess because they were "close to shipping" in October of 2014.

And are now dead silent for well over a month.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: February 03, 2015, 06:46:54 PM
I would like to see a schedule of the next 10 coins to be tackled, along with an ETA for each.  Once those have been released for withdrawal, the next 10 can be selected and ETAs can be given for those.  This would give people a sense that something is being done, instead of just the same list of "updates" being posted over and over again in between blocks of complete silence and inactivity.  These are supposed to be "solvent" coins, after all.  If the coins still exist then I don't see the difficulty.

This is like the 20th time this suggestion has come up, from various folks within the community. Along with an accountability and record keeping system.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: February 02, 2015, 07:57:43 PM
That's good news retro; good luck to all.

In the time since they claim to have been assembling and tweaking miners, until present day, they could've taped-out another batch of miners and shipped them. Yes folks, it's been almost 4 months.

It's been well beyond a month since their last update, which was a pittance of words in which they declared they were still piddling with solutions to their gear which they discovered prior to that.

For the first time in a year, they have broken their pattern of at least 1 update a month. They've also gone entirely silent on their own forum, and apparently stopped moderation. Some folks claim to have gone to their newly-filed physical address but it doesn't exist. Couple this with their attempts to sever all physical access and contact, as well as electronic, and you're left with few other speculative ideas ...
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] Guldencoin.com/download — Guldenwallet now available in the App Store on: February 02, 2015, 05:25:44 PM
Considering how many projects have crashed and burned after such a migration, and looking at some charts, I don't recognize any immediate need for concern. Monitor and continue to make fine-tuned incremental adjustments as the life of the project evolves.

Is this coin still alive.

This has to be sarcasm, because you wouldn't have posted that question having seen the last post or 2.
