vesper, if you were to launch a coin and do it 100% right, who would be the best person to do it fo you?

+1  I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

Aside from my team, I would work with other successful launch devs. There are plenty on here. Several even posted up. The owner for some odd reason, ignored them all, and went with "newbie" people.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin on: March 04, 2014, 06:46:45 AM
the dev is genious  you just dont realize yet . got insider info. coin not coming out before 9th relaunch.

Insider info huh? Right. Share if you like.

Best. Meme. Yet.

A 4th launch time, and this time a new algo? I am shocked, I tell you.. just shocked. Never saw it coming.

I'm sticking around for the quality conversation and the lively memes. Seriously, I've seen some great ones so far.

Notice there's some large wallets in there with similar BTC amounts.

Not an expert on following addresses, but man does that make you wonder..
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GPUC] GPU Coin on: March 04, 2014, 05:53:08 AM

But here's the thing: He said he would immediately call off the launch if it failed again. He's kicking the ball down the road.

Can you link to the posts where the dev said he would refund: 1) immediately, 2)  prior to another launch. I saw him promise a refund if the 2nd failed, but are you sure you're not extrapolating things he did say to more specific statements that he did not?

Short of logging into email, here's an even better solution, his own words of refunding if the 2nd launch of 03 mar failed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469887.msg5471566#msg5471566

(immediately) is not there. He did state in email to that nature however, and of 1st launch fail I might add. I've been nice in keeping quiet.

Other IPOs have expressed similar issue.

The bigger problem is, as soon as he got BTC from us (even before launch day), he stopped responding to us/questions.

How much total IPO did this guy get?

71 BTC roughly from us.

I'm local to this guy. I offered my experience, I offered a global pool network to privately test the coin before launch, I offered servers and a mining farm.

He ignored all of that.

WHy would anyone who wants a coin to succeed, refuse any of that?

I absolutely agree. He has ignored all of my emails since yesterday, and I sent another today. I am giving him all of 04 Mar. Surely he has time to respond. Even if he doesn't, I will begin the 1 sheet of paper for the claim, and I will happily retract the claim once he has responded.

I fully understand the situation.

But here's the thing: He said he would immediately call off the launch if it failed again. He's kicking the ball down the road.

And did anyone go track down where their BTC went? You might be interested to know where it's been tumbled. But that's up to you.

Ah gotcha.

Do you know the btc address for the IPO wallet? Don't tell me it went to tiger direct for the first batch of gpus  Grin

Here's the address he had be send 0.5BTC to: 14Q9B5wUibx43BygfZsBgRW9utqbfMKohC

It's been an entertaining thread.

Says the jackass who typed up his legal threat thread within 6 seconds of launch as if you weren't stroking your ballsack hoping to cause a ruckus. I hope you choke on a pandacoin.

Byebye.

I lol'd. +1 dude is such a blowhard

Actually it's been 2 days, and 2 failures. Not seconds. He was required to launch smoothly before midnight on 03 Mar. He even admitted this. So blame him. He told me in email to take action if he failed.

So do yourself a favor, send the dev an email requesting your refund, give him a reasonable time frame in which you expect your bitcoin back. If he fails to comply, file a lawsuit. You say you run businesses, do you enjoy having a customer screaming on the sidewalk that the world should sue your store because you sold him/her a dull pair of tweezers while you are trying to finish your taxes for the year ended 3/4/2014? Let them breath, if its a scam then you are well within your rights to file a lawsuit, also, if its launched a 3rd time successfully and you still want a refund, he should also comply since he promised a refund if the 2nd launch failed. Just give them two seconds of grace is all I'm saying here.

That's the best answer you'll get from anybody here.

I was merely responding to the folks who told me I didn't wait long enough.

As an IPO, I have been in talks with him, and he told me to do this.

If you guys don't get refunds, that's tough on you.

No problem my friend Smiley

I have owned 2 successful corporations in VA. I am well within my understanding of the law for the context of this situation.

ok, good luck getting a warrant on your "complaint".

Small Claims Court. He has an LLC. It won't even hear 5 minutes of testimony. I can tell you that from experience.

Dev on IRC says relaunch in 1hr, fixing rewards.

DONT BUY THESE COINS.

Advise the dev to check my sig. I live in his neighborhood. He will absolutely have a warrant on his doorstep within days if he doesn't immediately take action. He can relaunch later, BUT, he has to refund the IPOs who want a refund.

Maybe he should offer you a refund and those who have IPO's that want to stay can stay and benefit from the cheaper coins. That would work for me as an IPO

That would be acceptable to me and I'm sure others. The fact is, he is legally in breach at this point. I don't think he realizes the severity. It doesn't matter if launch #3 goes smoothly. He has already breached written contact under VA law. Myself and several others want refunds.

I'll stop posting when he mans up. I can just as easily go to his doorstep and ring his doorbell and ask. Figured this would be better, but so far it seems he hides behind a facade online.

COIN is mining but it's not mining RIGHT. The block rewards are wrong. You would never be able to buy GPUs with this coin because of it. Launch has failed. Stop calling me a whiner, and go look at the coin specs. Suck it up people, coin has failed.

Check my sig for details on refunds, and pressure GPU Coin to do the same. He needs to respond immediately today 04 Mar 2014.

Anyone who isn't listening to Vesperwillow is an idiot.

The coin is not right.

Any of you spending BTC for GPUC right now, sorry to say it, but when he rebuilds the client, your coins will be useless.

this has to be one of the most entertaining launches ever!

agreed.

He is LEGALLY BOUND to refund IPOs who want refund, because the 03 MAR launch FAILED. It is now 04 MAR.
