261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: May 06, 2019, 09:32:35 AM
I heard about services which allow to delegate votes or so - I am looking for the best way to allow my SPs to not lay useless when I am not using steem Wink

How much SP do you have?  if you are not using steemit at all then better to delegate your SP to a bot like tipu.
Currently there are many token are started in steem blockchain and you will get their token as rewards for delegating your SP. (You need to DYOR if token are really useful to acquire.). If you want to use your account and want to get benefited with your SP then you can use smartsteem vote selling services.

From personal experience, I say that the best way to earn STEEM is by playing SteemMonsters. I only have 60 SP and if I lease it will only give me a daily refund of around $ 0.008 and if I play SteemMonsters with an initial account, I can get daily cards with a value of $ 0.01 ( daily quests ).
SP 60 = $ 20 and I receive $ 0.008 per day or I buy the initial package in Steem Monsters ($ 10) and receipt of $ 0.01 to $ 0.15 (minimum) per day and every 14 days $ 0.14 to $ 1.14 for the season rewards ( minimum ) . Without counting other advantages that are obtained in Steemit and if you are a good player you can win STEEM in the tournaments.
I play only 30 minutes per day  Grin
Now if you only want to get STEEM through your SP, you can use SmartSteem or MinnowBooster to delegate your SP or sell your Upvotes

You forget to mention that you can earn steem by trading cards in steem monster.

262  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Future fees of legacy addresses on: May 06, 2019, 09:13:55 AM
If you have long term planning then I suggest you the consolidate the smaller inputs now when fees are lower.

It will be really interesting to see how the network will able to sustain itself when block rewards will be diminished and transactions fees will be going to the main source of the income for miners.
263  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Site that steal Bitcoin with positive youtube's comment, SCAM? on: May 06, 2019, 09:04:37 AM
It is good that you searched about reviews in other sites even reading positive reviews in youtube. Do not listen and trust anybody blindly and always do your own research.
Even for reputed crypto influencers , it is possible that they can shill the sponsored content without disclaimer.

264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Criticism? on: May 06, 2019, 08:32:44 AM
Man is social animal and likes to talk.  It is very easy to critically analyze anyone (it will be painful to get yourself  humiliated and be analyzed.) I guess it our nature to find the fault in things .(Actually this nature also help us to find and improve things.)

Actually in my very own words.

"Half of the problem exists in this world because nobody knows what exactly they are supposed to do, but everybody knows what others need to do".
265  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fair distribution, Fair voting, UBI, Digital Passports on: May 06, 2019, 08:26:46 AM
I do not believe in UBI. It is only good in theory but  if actually implemented it will be worse than communism.
There is no way that you can time log the jobs that require high intellectual level. Some people of high level can think of system in few days that an average joe will never able to make it even he got the decade time.
266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another conspiracy of Google hmm on: May 06, 2019, 07:51:35 AM
They are doing analytics on data . It is very hard to complete with google in this segment.
As far as that youtube developer is concerned, there is no weight on it. Google said to upgrade the IE. They did not said they are not going to support any version of IE.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 arrested in Bangladesh for merely trading Bitcoin on: May 05, 2019, 01:41:09 PM
Yup. There are two people fully involved with crime (Scam). They scammed a lot of money from innocent people and police searched them. People who got scammed, they case against of https://easypaidbd.com
How do you confirm that the exchange was easypaidbd.com? The news didn't mention any name or I missed it somehow?
Sunno330 is probably from our local. Local people know what has happened in reality, cyber policed has added a notice on that website "This website has been closed by Bogura Cyber Police".

Why you guys are risking yourself with bitcoin if it is illegal  in your country. I hope you all respect the local laws.
Do you have any party in your country that have soft instance on crypto , so that you can ask government to lift the ban from crypto.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still bother to engage non Bitcoiners? on: May 05, 2019, 01:15:02 PM
I give the information what I know about bitcoin, how it can be acquired and how it should be stored.
Personally I do not give any advice to somebody to buy it or not. I leave that decision on them.
269  Other / Meta / Re: How forum detect automated translation? on: May 05, 2019, 12:50:55 PM
I can see many users using automated tools for translating content but since there is no moderator in the Indian section, nobody checks these posts. Reporting them makes no difference as some of them change two-three words here and there to make it unable to detect the difference. There are some translators who claim to have a team but those team members all use automated tools in most bounties.

Somebody asked me to check few ANN in Indian section to check whether they are automatically translated . (Unfortunately , I never looked too deep on it.)
But my initial investigation was pointing that in Indian section, even native speakers are doing automatic translation to save the effort required in manual translation.

Heisenberg_Hunter has mentioned the list of translators who have used automated tools and I also helped him out. Still nobody replied regarding this and plus don't know which moderator to report to as there is no Indian mod now.

Yes, .Heisenberg_Hunter  requested to check the translation. I guess you can ask someone having DT powers to tag these translators.
You can still "Report To Moderator" , it will go on Global Mods queue in absence of local mods but I have no idea how they will be able to take action when they also do not know the language.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Irony on: May 05, 2019, 12:37:12 PM
In my opinion TA doesnt work for crypto currencies in general. I did a lot of TA in 2017 and followed a lot of well known traders at Twitter etc. None of them (and neither me) was able to predict anything based on TA, the market was way too volatile and news driven back then.
But TA is definitly nothing for newbies, you would get rekt in no matter of time.

Since you used the TA , I will like to know that how accurate you find it for stock markets?

I guess TA does not work because this is very new market . Once everybody had understood crypto then I guess we will not see so much volatility in market. Currently market is more on sentiments than on fundamentals.
271  Other / Meta / Re: [Choose 1]Trade Forum accounts, or DT neg trust for trading accounts - banned on: May 05, 2019, 12:14:07 PM
you obviously don't trade here, plenty of physical traders here spend 10's of K with each other regularly. shit I've done deals worth $100K plus multiple times without escrow - you trust who you know, hence why buying a rep is such a bad thing

This. I've known many of the physical bitcoin collectors for years. I even trust some of them with my priv keys.

I would trust TMAN with $100k because he sounds like a nice guy and it'd be impossible for someone to impersonate him Grin

I find it awesome that you guys got so many trusted people here to deal with. May be one day I will also able to say the same. Smiley

Sounds like a chicken-and-egg problem. In order to deal with someone you have to trust them, at least a little bit. I would probably trust most non-batshit users of this forum with $10 but even at that level I'd still do some basic due diligence to ensure that the user I'm dealing with is who they appear to be.

Once you get red tagged, I think your economic perspective in this forum is almost over.
I guess for amount like $10, I can trust this user without an escrow but I am not willing trade with this guy even if escrow is offered.

Accounts here are worth exactly 0 BTC.
Even they are worth zero in your eyes but market is willing to pay the price.

you should have no expectation otherwise. Your account could be deleted/banned tomorrow for absolutely no reason, without any sort of recourse.
That is true but probability of theymos doing so is very low or almost zero.(banning user without any reasons.)
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mass-adopted of crypto on: May 05, 2019, 06:11:39 AM
Mass adoption is somewhat dependent upon the various legislation across the world. If your country declare the crypto illegal then I guess only handful of the user will like to break the country rules.
Mainstream media is also a big factor in increasing the positive awareness about it.
Then comes the ease of use, if it is easy the more people will adopt.
273  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: new marketing approach [OPINION] on: May 05, 2019, 05:58:13 AM
Data is very basic for creation of information and knowledge.
Even without selling this data to anybody , if you able to analyze the data and find some trends that nobody knows. You can use this information for creating some valuable service or positioning your services on that segment or simply sell the information without actually selling the data.
274  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sell and Buy Services Here on: May 05, 2019, 05:48:50 AM
It will then be up to the public to vote based on the stories told. This is better than an opaque system like PayPal which would centrally decide on who they think is right. It will be fairer, more accurate, less centralised.

Any vote based system is not a correct system for dispute resolution.Public opinion can be very biased and sometimes easily swings with some events.
You need fact based evaluation system but I guess  by mediating in deals you will easily become party to the law suits.  Smiley
275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook bans Alex Jones and others on: May 05, 2019, 05:33:43 AM

With a current level of society digitalization do you feel that those centralized corporations got too much power over common people?

In reality , these corporation are huge because of huge masses are using them/following them. They get their power from common peoples.
If we all stop using their service that they will have no power  but people are now addicted to use their platform.

Do "addicts" makes sane choices?
276  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NK State media: NK tested a "tactical guided weapon" on: May 05, 2019, 05:21:40 AM
Do you believe in NK media. I have read earlier that their state media broadcast  that their King is no earthly man and do not pass shit.
Did you believed in that shit story too?

Short range missiles are quite different than ICBMs. Rocket Boy may just be testing how far he can go before he provokes a reaction.

For example, suppose his goal was to denuclearize but perfect precision short range tactical rockets? He may think there is an export market for those.

No doubt in the new as South Korea also confirmed their testing of missiles in sea of Japan.
On the side note, I also read that their current testing of short range missile is not in violation of their promises/treaty with USA.
might be they are impatient to get some aid now.

NK currently has “elections” but they are not real.

The current NK government has removed many basic freedoms from its people, such as freedom of speech, even among other citizens speaking 1:1. It also has millions of its citizens in what amounts to concentration camps that use forced labor, who were convicted of questionable crimes under questionable circumstances.

I can’t imagine how anyone could possibly think this is how the NK people want to live.

I find the situation sad. oppressor of fundamental rights is being invited and promised of rosy picture ahead.
No more coming good days for NK citizens.
277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Double-spending issue? on: May 05, 2019, 04:20:04 AM
So 51% attack corrupts the ledger in layman terms.
A think that's a bit too hyperbolic. A 51% attack does not let an attacker steal other people's coins, reverse other people's transactions, create new coins, or anything along those lines. A 51% attack only allows the attacker to double spend their own recently sent coins. In the words of Satoshi, a 51% attack "does not throw the system open to arbitrary changes". While a double spend is obviously far from desirable for the receiving party who will end up being out of pocket, I wouldn't say it "corrupts the ledger".

From bitcoin whitpaper
Quote
p = probability an honest node finds the next block
q = probability the attacker finds the next block
qz = probability the attacker will ever catch up from z blocks behind
qz={1 if p≤q
        (q/p)z if p>q}

I interpreted it as  if attacker is say 2 block behind and start writing its own transaction for creating new block and once it able to extend it lead then attacker chain will be published as a valid chain. Is I am misinterpreting the things?
If blockchain can not be altered at all then why we say it general practice to wait for 6 confirmation for large transaction? (becauuse if in 1 confirmation if money reached to your wallet is final then why we say 6.)
278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get tokens listed on big exchanges on: May 05, 2019, 03:41:07 AM
I think any exchange that is established/not shady  and can provide the enough liquidity can serve your purpose.
Since you already wrote here that you have already filled form and did not get any response so it point to 2 things.
1. They are not interested in listing your token.
2. They can  be busy with other current application.

You can try to build a community around your token and enhance your product and in a mean time you can list your token in exchange that meet your requirements.
279  Other / Meta / Re: Why forum mods are trying to moderate a language that they do not understand? on: May 05, 2019, 02:47:00 AM
[...{}...]
Not a disaster, but a lump. Do you have no mouth to ask friends, what is the meaning of the writing you wrote.
In forums not only Bengalis, in forums, all countries exist, and communicate with each other, Belgium, Japan, India, Arabia, Italy, Russia, and also the universe. Lol.

Do not use Google translate to understand it.  In our local language there are many words that have different meaning (very unrelated to each other) depending to context.  For ex. if you see the below image , you will see that two very different sentences in English translate to same words in my native language. (We derive the meaning of these sentences by understanding the context.)

I do not know bengali but live in same country where people speak bengali and I do know  meaning of sentences changes with context.
