No I haven't yet staked with the latest build, but I wouldn't be worried yet. It seems to take around 8 days of age to get stakes with GRW. I have a few mature blocks myself of about 8 days, I'll let you know if/when I get mine

Difficulty is now at 15.31216744!
Difficulty did rise but MH/s has fallen to about 650 MH/s this is because difficulty is adjusting when a lot of PoS blocks are found on the network. It tries to keep inflation as low as possible. So far things are looking pretty good

|

Things are looking good 823 MH/s. This is the most hashing power I've seen since the resurrection of Growth! Excellent news for the network

Yes I did. Should I delete everything in my APPDATA/Roaming folder? Except my wallet.dat of course You could try to start the client with the -rescan switch. If that doesn't do it. delete blkindex.dat and peers.dat and try again

I seem to be unable to sync. Is anyone else stuck on block 517286?
517286 is a 10 days old block, most likely you ended up on a fork. did you try to restart your client ?

Unfortunately the blockindex goes wrong again after a coind restart with still error 22. For try to repristinate in shor time the pool, I will upload my pc blockchains so in 4h it could be up again (I hope) I wonder too. You seem to have often corrupted index. If you can provide more info as what step to reproduce the error, that would be helpful

Thanks for your support, just filled the faucet with 500 GRW

the total coins are 37368000 or 2037368000?
the 37368000 is an estimated coins generated by PoW. there is a max number of coins of 2 billions but it's just a big number so the script doesn't fail.

Is there a way to launch the windows QT with the reservebalance command? I tried it in the command prompt and I'm still having GUI freezes. I'd hate to have to pull up a server on digital ocean just to get my coin out...
create a shortcut to the executable and edit the shortcut by adding the switch to it. that should do it.

Here is a linux binary: http://david.latapie.name/static/cryptos/GRW/GrowthCoin-QtPlease check if it works on your platform. And here's the oneliner for compilation and creating a shortcut on the desktop, provided you have all the required dependacies: git clone git://github.com/iamunick/growthcoin && cd growthcoin && qmake-qt4 growthcoin-qt.pro && make && ln -s ~/cryptos/growthcoin/GrowthCoin-Qt ~/Desktop/GRW unick, feel free to upload a copy on your server and to add the oneline on the OP If any of you thinks this deserves some GRW, donations are much appreciated: GSCx33jfd1zc9M2bAFTCBjWz8PYnSdWzTK Did not run in Fedora 18 (segmentation error) For my new vps I setup, I don't build Qt, I only build the daemon. So it would be: cd growthcoin/src && make -f makefile.unix Edit: Does anyone know why I run ./growthcoind it just sits there and doesn't do anything. Just sits there with a blank line on the prompt. Maybe I am being impatient?? From my experience with growthcoin, it is a matter of patience. The daemon takes a long time to load just like the qt gui. So the blank prompt is it loading. You can press enter and make other commands without interrupting the process however. Hmm when I enter any other command it just pushes to the next blank line and doesn't respond with anything. lol, you are going to wait like that for ever you need to start the headless client with either the -daemon=1 switch or put daemon=1 on a line in your GrowthCoin.conf file then you will be able to do something else while the client is running in the background I edited my entry at the same time you posted I found the solution of just including "&" and it is working for now. I will try the daemon switch too though. Thanks unick. that will do too

Note to Unick, I just built GRW with Qt 5.2.1 and for windows. It looks great, really nice to have the debug window up front. Only error I got while compiling is that there was no .ico only the mac .icns, after getting a .ico in there it went smooth.
Nice catch, I will look into it and commit the changes

I had to restart the daemon (not all the bootstrap were finished), but now: GrowthCoin server starting
************************ EXCEPTION: St13runtime_error CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22 GrowthCoin in AppInit()
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): CDB() : can't open database file blkindex.dat, error 22
It seems that I have to make a reindex again what made you restart the daemon?

The download of blockchains terminate with daemon segfault as it finds something strange into the index database. As I cannot copy the log error from here, I just make a boostrap operation to re-index again.
That means that pool will be offline even before tonight
You seem to have a lot of difficulty with your blockchain. Let me know if you find anything unusual in the log files or it's an operational issue. I would like to kick start the cryptsy donation box but I am a bit worried I might be the only one. I was hoping to get some members of the community to help pitch in as well, if we all pitch in together we can get listed on another exchange which will help me to buy some more GRW as well as sell some our stakes to new investors. I would love to donate as long as someone else will donate with me with the condition that someone else will donate if the last person donates. This way we can all see and actually raise enough for the fund. What do you guys think? Is anyone keen enough to donate and help get listed on cryptsy?
I will donate too. The top priority for now is to get GRW added to Cryptsy coin voting https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/ Once we get on the voting list for Cryptsy we could raise the funds to buy our way in. I've already sent Cryptsy a request and they are "looking" into it. Maybe if other users request it too, it could have a positive impact. I also sent Poloniex a request. Still waiting to hear from them. I have made a lot of commits to the source code. still have a few I want to push in before releasing version 1.3.1.0 Stay tuned

During the night the coin daemon in pool terminates as he find errors in index. Now I have to rebuild the index with bootstrap, hoping that this works without the need of download all the block chains again. Sorry for this
The re-index into pool server seems to be blocked at block 510.155 from more than a hours can you post your debug.log file? EDIT: BTW, I saw someone mining on the pool while you were reindexing... so I guess that caused yet another bad block in your index ! I had implemented an automatic pool recovery if I miss the server for some ours, but I didn't tinhk that it was able to took stratum on without having the daemon with a good index inside. The debau is 41MB log, this is the last lines (... is lot of equals lines): ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ERROR: mempool transaction missing input getblocks 501512 to 00000000000000000000 limit 500 getblocks stopping at limit 502011 00000006557673828c05 ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ... ... ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ERROR: mempool transaction missing input ProcessSyncCheckpoint: pending for sync-checkpoint 00000000d36354cfc0e96dbe06b9eb42b7d133484617c7009bfd36cf572f1461
it does look like you have a bad block in your index, so you are receiving the latest blocks but they cannot connect to the one found in your index. It really gets messy when a block is found while not fully synced ! I would bootstrap it again. with stratum down.

how about making a android wallet? That would be awesome. We just need someone that is up for the task

New wallet is a little slow, but in another way...
I download all the blockchains from 0, but it is not able to reach the actual final point. For example now it ia at block 514595, while it seen 523521 as last blocks. Processor is almost 50% usage, as it is generating POS blocks (this is even if not blockchians is completly load, but maybe POS is worinkg in this manner). I have over 6500 transaction in my wallet (the old's one are before ressurections). All goes fine in downalod until it starts pos, then it is not able to full syncronize.
The notification area else shows: Warning: checkpoint is too old. wait for blockchains to download, or notify developers
The wallet should not stake if you aren't fully synced. This is on my to-do list to check for bugs. For now what you can do to prevent staking while synchronizing is to use the reservebalance [<reserve> [amount]] where amount should be higher than your wallet size. once your fully synced up. setback reservebalance to 0. You can try to shutdown and restart the client, it sometimes help with speed of download. The notification is normal. you see that message because you are not fully synced up. It not works. Even if I reserve all the coins, it not makes POS, but it downloads only 10 blocks in 4 hours. I will try with a fresh wallet and then repristinate my wallet if it synch. it definitely takes too long. You can also try to delete your blkindex.dat and rename your blk0001.dat to bootstrap.dat. then start the client. It will recreate the index without redownloading the blockchain. It will still take a few hours.
