The lesson for the month of April is diversification. I suggest that people really look into diversification for asset protection.
I can't believe it took you so long to realise this and advice people to do so. It will teach you how to be smart.
Well... I believe it was meant as "Here's a great example of why you should diversify your assets, I recommend you look into it" rather then "Oh wow, I just realized that diversification is key in trading!"

this journal is good i also got fooled by it but there is one thing u are all missing - tokyo is actually selliung you his HBNs PHS all the time. he is proven to be in pump n dump groups, he made you follow - now you are feeding his pocket.
i sold all my PHS due to that, HBN is still have because i got on right time - before tokyo scammer changed price and i made him earn nothing.
now there is other coins based on PHS wallet which are staking even better but he lost the boat so he doesnt speak of them. instead of feeding pocket of tokyo bu buying his overpriced HBN/PHS better get into other coins based on PHS wallet: LGD ZC UVC
and just laugh this guy in his face.
This is interesting, you seem somewhat frustrated about something?!? before tokyo scammer changed price and i made him earn nothing. for real? this is not a one man show... there are a many other people/investors involved in HBN. Serious and mature investors I would add, making HBN one of the strongest market out there. Also some of those people are making genuine good work. And I think the market price is reflecting this good work. he made you follow - now you are feeding his pocket. that's funny and what about your pockets? tokyo is actually selliung you his HBNs PHS all the time. Oh, tell me who's not selling his stuff? isn't what you cheaply did with your LGD, ZC, UVC? Plus what's wrong in selling good stuff? I think the word pump is too often miss used. tokyoghetto started this journal in January.... we are now un May. the price as been steadily rising since last november. I don't see any pumps here, just a natural rise in value. Plus tokyo is doing some actual work by sharing knowledge and spreading awareness to HBN. If the result of that is a rising market price... well I find that more than justified. I know tokyghetto as much as I know anybody else on this forum. So when I speak I don't speak for him but for myself. Taking down someone's reputation like you do, is a cheap shot in my opinion. You didn't even give credit to what this journal did for you (if you truly own some HBN). You are talking as this was a scam, when all I see is sharing of information and knowledge. Tokyo shared publicly his address for this journal and this address is still there with the quantity of HBN that is supposed to be in. Judge for yourself. He could own 10 of these addresses for all I care, it doesn't change a thing to the work he does here. (F279k6BLzn9YPh2ARx35jo2HPLJL2S8cHr on http://hbn.blockx.info/richlist/) I felt that I needed to reply since I found that your claims were unjustified, you're saying this is a good journal but yet you seemed frustrated/insulted and criticized something in a way that it's not. The HBN community is genuine. The work that is done with HBN is good. So for whatever other personal motive tokyo is doing this, HBN is still bigger than him and for all I know, he's bringing awareness onto an excellent coin backed by a strong community, witch is a strong point to invest in... making the price rise!

Is anyone here good with importing paper wallets into the qt?
This is what I done:
1.) walletpassphrase xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 120 2.) importprivkey "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
after 120 seconds, the wallet locked and the key from the paper wallet did not import in time.
Now, when I go to try again I get this message:
Error adding key to wallet (code -4)
..how do I get my coins from the paper wallet now?
I don't know if you got this working or not, but try putting a higher timeout, like 9999 importing the private key, the client needs to scan the block chain to find if that key as unspent outputs, so it can take a while. I've had some coins taking over 5 minutes to import

hell, post your FairCoin address, I'll send you 200 FAC right now. Just for fun You mean 200 FACs to buy parts 1 and 2 of my book? I'll add 800 FACs to your 200 and offer 1000 FACs bounty to the first member who reads my Complete idiot's Guide to creating your own Altcoin and posts a review explaining why Faircoin has been so successful, so that my coin will be too. No, it was just 200 FAC because you made me laugh

Hey guys, I've been hearing about TEK for a few weeks. Didn't have time to dig into this but just bought my first 200 coins from cryptsy, from loose BTC I had ! Don't even have a wallet yet. I love the logo BTW

Lol, I'd buy them with a few FairCoins EDIT: hell, post your FairCoin address, I'll send you 200 FAC right now. Just for fun

It shares the same algorithm as Bitcoin. Any reason why all the ASIC miners haven't began to mine this yet? You think once they catch on the price will drop?
there is nothing to mine here but transactions fees (and I think it's going to be pure PoS soon)

hmm if it was a scam then why would he propose a fix to the community like that instead of running with the money.? it makes little sense to me, even tought the situation looks odd i want to hold and see what happens trough this update before i settle an opinion on if it s a scam or not
because the old scam was exposed to fast to take enough profit? This is a bit off topic for this journal, but maybe the precaution aspect is still relevant. Come on! how bad a dev team can you be that you launch a coin based on existing source, and you talk about "professionals" "hacks" "bugs" in your statement about the issue!?! I read it was supposed to be 150 million coins, yet in the source it's more like 360 millions (I'd have to check again to make sure). That is NOT a bug... that is just plain negligence or deliberate attempt in fooling people. And then, when this gets exposed, in just a few hours, website, block explorer github is taken down! The success in any business is constant work and dedication OVER TIME. This sadly looks like a terrible attempt to make a quick profit coin. I mean this is open source world. Maybe try to look into these kind of obvious things before investing too much time/efforts/money into a project. Plus, if you find a coin with the developer name being the same as the coin name... know to be careful (I'm not saying not to go for it, just pay more attention)! Why wouldn't the dev to put a "real" handle with history there in the first place. If you come to think of it, take all those coins (dev name = coin name ) out and you should get a pretty interesting list of coins worth looking into!

I think it's safe to say that something is wrong. Man up DEV!!!
- DEV was approached by a foreign investor who wanted to accept FAC (and 3 other coins) as the only form of payment on his home delivery web site. - "Foreign Investor" gave DEV a large cash advance - DEV used a portion of the cash advancce to pay a professional video production cmpany to produce a youtube promotional video for Faircoin. The "professional video production" company - later - turned-out to be a 12-year old kid with bad English. - DEV used the rest of the cash advance to buy himself a black Mercedes, hired a driver (Paul) and traveled to Paris, France to celebrate. - The "Foreign Investor" turned-out to be a Marijuana dealer from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. - Angry and disappointed, DEV contacted the "Foreign Investor" and informed him the deal is OFF. - The "Foreign Investor" demanded a FULL refund of the cash advance. - DEV - having already spent all the money - refused. - "Foreign Investor" put out a contract to kill DEV. "Make it look like a car accident", were his instructions. - After a night-out at a famous Paris hotel, DEV asked "Paul" to drive him back home. - Mozuart-The-Hitman followed DEV's black Mercedes in a white VolksWagen. - Paul the driver, was driving at a high speed, trying to shake-off his follower, entered a dark tunnel. - Mozuart-The-Hitman caught-up with the black Mercedes, intentionally bumped its back corner. - Mercedes went out of control, started spinning, hit a large column in the dark tunnel. - Paul the driver and DEV, both died instantly at the scene. - French Police conducted a lengthy (3 hours) investigation, ruled it an "unfortunate accident". Back in China.... the Investor with a Million FACs in his wallet, is getting ready to take over the helm of the troubled coin. LOL, at least I get a good laugh out of this unbelievably long silence from the dev! Got to love the visual representation and satire of your story :p

You don't need the dev to point your rigs to hashco.ws! Nobody has rigs here? I remind you that Blackcoin's multipool played an important part in its price rise. I'm still scooping off cheap FAC everyday This community was big enough that I'm sure we can do something about this situation. let's make the price rise by mining at the multipool and see all those who turned away in deception about poor communication come back to the community in excitement.

block explorer up to date again...
The web process trying to fetch the price from poloniex got the server "stuck" since their site is down. Didn't notice that, disabled market prices for the time being.

In fact it will combine blocks automatically once they get to small! So just let the wallet do the work, and sit back and enjoy.. for real? what is the threshold? Assuming I am reading the code correctly, and assuming it is not bugged. The wallet will try to combine any stake input that is less then 1.6. So if you have a .25 that is up for stake, it may try to combine it with another stake of .25 or smaller, just so long as the total is under the threshold. Now I have not seen this happen on my wallet, and I haven't put this through serious test, so it might need a bit of work. But from what I gather that is how it should work.. That is kind of sweet

About Cryptsy, I am sure we could work something out, but it might take more time About funding... For the few funds that I manage to withdraw from CoinEx, I believe most of those top wallets come from CoinEX... since withdrawing coins made those wallet move! The other thing is that we don't know how many of those people are still aware that the coin is resurrected!?! So who knows how much we have to fund the project with! That is why I'm asking if soopy is in for the long haul. I'll send him 5k GRW now. I still hope to see my coins from coinex (yes I am a believer ) I'll chip in another 15k GRW when I can withdraw those. I think if we all contribute to develop the core (wallet) and the edges (website, explorer, reddit, forum, wiki, marketing) we can do a long way with that EDIT: can't find soopy GRW address, please post it EDIT: If the community approves, I can start a new thread, I can take in charge of updating/maintaining the OP I think you've done more than anyone, second to snoopy, with setting up the explorer. So personally would like to see others donate before you! When I first starting buying grw 2 months ago, it was below 100 sat, and those were buy orders people where selling into. That's continued since, all be it at higher prices/volume, as people also buying sell orders. Also seen the net hash increase, so could be miners selling? But you're right quite a few of the addresses haven't been touched since last year, so likely have no clue about this thread! I hope coinex get things sorted, as I like the site but they are not doing themselves any favors with how they are handling the current situation. Exchange update! I don't mind chipping in... lead by example they say? Since there is not much activity people are not checking in here every 10 minutes so I say lets move forward and people will notice. I have a good feeling we can bring this to another level. The price is damn cheap money supply is not too high and the block chain is fast... Just needs a little more love to get it going. About the market, I noticed that too, the price is now at 450 sat (albeit no volume) on allcoin.com and Hashrate has increased since... so I take that as a good sign. About coinex it's a shame, I just don't get why people don't communicate better in this era of telecommunications ... but that's for another debate! I really wish coinex will get back online sooner than later Also is there a way to contact the original dev?
