The balance in my wallet is different from block explorer. Does anyone have the same problem? Got more than 250k AC in my wallet, but not shown on rich list between top 100 to 200.

How many addresses do you have? Generally you may have multiple addresses with funds that you received with each of them, the block explorer will treat them as separate as there's no way to know they belong to you but your wallet can access all of them. This is usually the reason.

Thanks for your response. But my setup only one address to receive coins from mining or transactions, multiple addresses never used.

please check this address to verify your balance on the richlist

http://ac.blockx.info/get/chain/AsiaCoin/q/addressbalance/YOUR_ADDRESS (replacing YOUR_ADDRESS with your actual address)

if both are matching, check my previous message about change address (if you made some transactions, this can be the reason)

if they don't match, post your address or PM it to me if you wish to keep it private.  I'll see if I can try to reset the balance manually.

Hey guys,

The block explorer is now live with rich list updated.

You can find both at this address

http://ac.blockx.info/

Market price will be added as soon as AC trading is reenabled with an exchange supporting API requests

Great job unick. You did very well!

Thanks, I didn't notice the trading was reenabled... Just added the market price to the explorer.

are you using wallet 2.0?

yes I am using the latest version

Richlist top 1 no working
"I'm sorry, this address has too many records to display."

Top 1 and 2 are related to the old dev premine?
can you & micryon explain it?
Third rich should be legit?

The balance in my wallet is different from block explorer. Does anyone have the same problem? Got more than 250k AC in my wallet, but not shown on rich list between top 100 to 200.

I have a question.
Let say I have 100k AC in Address A,
if I send 10k to Address B,
the rest 90k stay at Address A
OR
the transaction product Address C
while Address C holds 90k? (This seems much similar to my case.)
As a result, the richlist show the Address C instead of Address A?

Just donated 10K AC to address AXuMxpakwcxcnPtzkL6GNmp54PRc7Zxb2g from AMSaE9CmiW5A2WUfTsHrkqT5GmvYEh1ra3 (Mintpal account). Can't find out this transaction in both address by searching block explorer. The withdrawn status from Mintpal exchange is successful.

are you sure? you can't use the minpal sending address as it can be different, you should check the TX id

I found this from the block explorer

http://ac.blockx.info/get/tx/93f9e0602502df0db32b318b3dadcdc487d708f13f86fabff074c8718cd68d3a

is this transaction matching yours ?

Please check again,  I corrected a few minor display issues, and removed the old premine address from top of the list.  It's now at the bottom in red with explanation "Unspendable".  This was done in regards of transparency.  If you guys feel this should not be there, please let me know.
now the first address should be legit, I have no way of verifying but the balance is corrected from 10M to 13,249,634 (previously it was rounded down to 10M)

This depens but in a nutshell, the client will create a third address for the change. so if you send let's say 100 AC from a 1000 AC balance, the change would be 900 AC and sent to a third address.

This kind of behaviour is normal, you can verify this address is yours by going to the console and typing

Code:
validateaddress ADDRESS

where ADDRESS is the address you are verifying.  If you read in the output ismine: true then you know it's yours but from the wallets keypool, it won't necessarily show in your wallet GUI but it's there.

A nice feature that let you choose where the change goes (and even see those "hidden" addresses from the GUI) is coin control.  You can check it out (Hobonickels wiki talks about it), a few coins now have this feature enabled.

hey guys,

the explorer is up and running with the rich list (updated every 10 minutes).

you can find it here: http://tek.blockx.info/

I also went on compiling a Mac wallet.  It's been know from past builds that it might crash on some Mac versions. I tried on a few different mac I own and it works, so if it crashes for you, I'm sorry about that, I never found the issue!

You can have a try here: http://tek.blockx.info/tekcoin-1.2.0.0-macosx.dmg

Enjoy  Wink

Ahh! I'm higher on the rich list than I expected.

Also, the OSX wallet is working well on the several different macs I've tried. No crashes so far.

fwiw, I've had zero wallet crashes with the latest linux and windows wallets, as well.

Glad to hear that the client works for you Smiley

308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Bringing Life to Growthcoin (GRW) , Community Backed Development! on: May 14, 2014, 01:26:58 AM
I agree.

We just need to get our things together first, finishing the wallet is a must. Then start promoting.  I think volume should rise.

Getting onto one major exchange is another important step we need to get over.  It gives more credibility!  We DON'T need to be on thousands of exchanges, just one major and that's ok!

I think getting on Cryptsy should be a goal. Mintpal is pretty decent as well, but Cryptsy is probably easier to get on to and has more volume as far as I'm aware. With their new addition of USD pairing, that should make it all the more sweet!

yes and if I recall a few pages back, there was a discussion about pooling together to buy the needed votes... We should definitely look into that!
We definitely need to get it on Cryptsy.
I think the good plan is:
1. New wallet.
2. New nicely designed re-ann topic.
3. Get GRW added to Cryptsy voting page.
4. Buy votes.

That seems like a nice plan.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Version 1.4. Stake For Charity. on: May 14, 2014, 01:23:23 AM
Ok so what if the HBN block chain will be much bigger than now??

When the chain grows larger it just means it takes longer to sync and takes up more storage. Right now the HBN chain is something like 700mb (at least that is the size of my appdata HBN folder), which is not bad at all. It will be somewhere around 1 gb per year.

Ok understood:)

and when it gets a lot much bigger, we can use an hosted version or electrum/multibit type of solution for people wanting to jumpstart the inital load or don't want to host the whole block chain.

With every problem there is a solution, right now this is not an issue.  But it is a valid concern!
Do you think staking will be working with such a "hosted version or electrum/multibit type" wallet?
Looks doubtful to me.

as I understand it, I wouldn't see any reason why it shouldn't work.

The staking process takes into consideration what is held in an address.  It doesn't care if you have the block chain on your computer or not. Once the client finds a block, it need to broadcast that block to the network like it would do for any other transaction.  So with an electrum/multibit type wallet, you already almost all you need in your wallet (meaning your public/private key pair and transaction ability).  What those current implementation lack is the ability of mining PoS blocks.  But I would imagine that feature being easily added to those wallets.

313  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Abe 0.7: Open Source Block Explorer Knockoff on: May 13, 2014, 02:36:54 PM
Did you update the source recently?

Another odd behaviour I get is when I try to read the pubkey_hash from the database, I get gibberish characters, so my script fails since it can't recognize the actual public key.

I'm trying to pinpoint the issue, any ideas?

All my databases are configured the same so that's why I wonder if there was a code change influencing this.

EDIT: ok, I think I found it, the column type for pubkey_hash is now binary(20), previously it was char(40).  The first question that comes into mind is why this was changed ?
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RESURRECTION] Bringing Life to Growthcoin (GRW) , Community Backed Development! on: May 13, 2014, 02:12:56 PM
Guys, keep in mind that just mining the coins is going to go nowhere. What is being done to help give them some value? A billion coins with 0 value is still worthless.

We're waiting on the wallet update from soopy!

What I mean is... the coin's been around a long time now. Months. It had its downtime before, but there was never a push to market it or get it out to the masses. The coin has never had anything going for it other than being mineable. If you want it to pay off, you need to be making a community effort to get it out there.

Edit: I know that the wallet needs updated as well. But once it is, what is the marketing strategy?

what are your ideas for marketing strategies?

I think that building some awareness around PoS/PoW hybrid status and the fact that it's 100%/year return should be at front of every communication.

This coins trades at allcoin.com for about 250-400 satoshis.  it can easily be 10x more without any other improvements. just awarness. I think anyone stoking up right now is making a wise decision!

Just check Hobonickels, Tek PHS.  They have about 5-10x less money supply but they trade at over 100 times what GRW is trading.

People need to understand that having PoS coins in your wallet is like having X amount of Hashing power, you get bitcoins for holding on a certain amount of coins for a certain amount of time. less the hassle of maintaining some hardware.

Then, I think we can add features to the wallet to at least equal what is done with hobonickels.  I remember someone suggesting to have live market data in the wallet, that is a plus IMO to see at a glance the value and capacity to generate of your account. I think this would be a nice feature!

Having some merchants and real life use of this coin would be an excellent idea... I don't have any suggestions for now.

The conversation is open, please add ideas and suggestions... remember this is a community backed "relaunch"

regarding that... I think I'm going to setup a development fund address.  People could donate to that address and it would be for developping new features and marketing of the coin. It would be a GrowthCoin address.  what do you guys think ?

It trades at allcoin at 200sat+ but that's because there's no volume (24h volume is only 8 mBTC). That's not good. More people need to be trading.

I completely agree that the PoS area of it is what needs to be marketed the most. It definitely has its value there. The issue is that the coin needs to be sponsored on major sites. Getting it into something like Coindesk would be extremely helpful.

I agree.

This is one of the best coin as it is one where you can see POS in action (for all the others I try, POS event is very rare).

Wallet is already improved over the original version, however actually one wrong point is the time it is needed to starts up.
In my pc it tooks 30 minutes to open the QT Wallet using Wine (99% of other coins needs only 1 minute max to open, even with Wine).

Even into pool server it needs minutes to have the daemon ready, while the others coins take only feew seconds to start.

Actaully I'm submitting the GRW to all the trading site that as a coin submit function, hoping that at least one of them will add it.

It takes less than 20s for me to fully load the client on my system, so I'm not so sure it's a client issue (unless it's just something that contradicts WINE in some way). Can anyone else running it on Windows let us know how long it takes you to load it too?
Takes about 5-10 minutes for me, where the CPU is loading a single core at 100% for the entire duration. I saw similar behaviour on PHS and HBN before they fixed it (both of those wallets now load in less than 20s).

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303749.msg6148955#msg6148955

Great point, I think it's a wallet issue, it's worth a shot to check out the code.

For me it's a few minutes to load so I'm pretty sure it's the same problem HBN had a while back

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582796.msg6372061#msg6372061

The only reason I do not add more comment is as I have had a crazy out drinking night tonight in town. Unick I  respect the work you put into HBN and do not take offense to your comments, all I want to do do is try add some integrity to the community. I was a spectator in both pumps.

I cant help but feel somewhat frustrated, I thought the point of a journal is to highlight the ups and downs objectively, not to cherry blossom everything. Fuck I love cherry blossoms, just not when I want to make educated investment decisions. No businessman wants that.

Look I don't read this blog for utopian visions of retirement profits. I read it for insight, which is something I felt I gained earlier in this thread, rather than later, but if thats what the hbn community prefer, I understand.

Look in all honestly if no one really appreciates this type opinion on the topic, its cool, we'll leave it at that. Cheers

First thanks for sharing the link... I wasn't aware of that!

As I understand it, it was the work of a small group, but I guess that is the game of the free trade.

I want to make clear I didn't mean any of my comments in an offensive way, I still believe HBN is not a scam, there was a natural uptrend to HBN since it's beginnings and the pump to 78k was just that, a pump. I still firmly believe it's going to hit those numbers again in the future.

I didn't feel offended either by your comments, I just wanted to point out the fact that this community is solid and mature, sure some people can pump the coin, I can see that now thanks to your link, but it doesn't mean that the actual work that is done is bad or "scammy".

I tried (and maybe missed the target) to differentiate the actual good work and innovation that is done here (that gives value to the coin) of the idea that this is purely a "pumping" mission!

That being said, I feel the same way as you on the fact that having both side of the medal adds integrity to the community, and I truly encourage it .  In a sense this is what I tried to accomplish by weighting in the fact that this was not a pumping mission. Maybe I miss interpreted your comment in that regard and sorry if you felt "attacked" in any way from my answer. It was never my intention.

I'm speaking for myself (but I'm sure the community shares my opinion on this one), you, and anyone who stands up to speak, are more than welcome to share their opinions.  These kinds of conversation are what makes the community stronger in general!

I'm just guessing here but it seems like people are dumping some HBN to get into TEK.

Time will tell if this was the right choice. I did buy some TEK at 25K but I did not sell any HBN to get them. My stake is too precious.... Smiley

I had that same feeling... HBN goes down, TEK goes up, maybe just a coincidence though Tongue
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: May 10, 2014, 11:51:52 AM
It's expected that prices move in both directions.  It doesn't change anything for me, since I'm in for the long run!  I still believe Tranz is doing great work with constant new releases of code.  And the community here is one of the best I know so far.  People here are more mature and I like that.

It still is a big correction! I hope the people that got in at a higher price point were long term investors, if so this price drop won't affect them as much.

The upside is that new investors can now find a cheaper entry point. the rich list top 10 addresses didn't move much so I guess that the "big" investors are still holding for long term returns.

People might be looking for an "antidote".  The harsh reality is that there is none!  Like with anything and everything, for things to go up in value (without any pump/dump actions) is through consistent work and dedication.  Innovation is also a key factor to adding value. I believe this is achievable with HBN. Since the people involved tend to be in for the long term and consistent work factors.  Innovation comes once in a while!

One last thing,

Quote
A closer look and people realized it was an organized pump, search the forum for the thread.

I can't find that thread.  Why I feel people always try to find conspiracy theories?  Can't you be objective about the actual work and progress going on with HBN? Couldn't that be the main reason of it increasing price value? couldn't just be people looking to cash out for other projects that sold their position for personal reasons making the price go down? maybe it wasn't moving fast enough for them.  Why does it have to be an organized pump with objective to scam people of?

I'm sure I contributed to the pump myself... I can assure I'm in no "organized" group trying to scam people off! Pumps are exciting and dumps are depressing in nature... and contagious! Maybe that's all we are seeing here!

Until I can find that thread and assuming it's not just that, conspiracy, I will continue to stand by what I just said, since I know Tranz (the dev) is real and the work done is real... the rest is just speculations!
