981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: September 20, 2017, 06:44:33 PM
I really like the sports gambling game. Because I love football and I am always happy to predict every game that will be played. For me this is a pleasure because I can think and analyze what will happen. If I win then I will be happy and if I lose then I will keep trying. But keep in mind make gambling an entertainment and never make gambling a way to earn money.
yeah better to gamble on something that you really know about. as it could maximize your winning chance, get double entertainment and won't disappointed much when you get lost. sportsbetting always be my first choice after poker . as playing cards has been my hobby since long time ago. at least you have a lot of fun in it right?
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I hope I live long enough to see ethereum crash on: September 19, 2017, 07:44:44 PM
I really feel that I should invest in & buy some ETH, something keeps stopping me from doing so though. I just don't feel it's a long term good investment. I've been wrong on it so far though.
people wouldn't see at the bigger picture as what op done. as long as it has a good market history for long enough and several big project supporting ethereum they would go for ethereum. so far maybe ethereum in a very stable situation. and i do a little bit agree that ethereum should have  correction sooner or later , it's takes too long time since last ethereum skyrocketed. and yet they are on top of their price!
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: September 19, 2017, 07:31:23 PM
Theoretically, to control greed is a target or limits either on gambling or trading, lose or profit. But, practically it's very difficult to do and emotional factors of course. Just few days i can be consistent, then back become greedy.
then you should have a high level of discipline to deal with that inconsistency right? greedy could be controlled when you have a desire to make it a long term business , but still when it comes to gambling greedy would always win and take over your whole realistics thought. even a hardwork won't work to not become greedy in gambling , that's the nature and just simply stop expecting to get a steady income through gambling. just play and have fun.

This so so much. Once you actually look at gambling in a way that it is and should be for fun, then and only then can you remove yourself from these greedy thoughts. Once you start gambling to become rich or to get you back on track with debts, bills or whatever, that's where greed gets you the most and you end up the sucker 90% of the time. I was a gambling addict for a good 5 years or so until I realized that what I do is not worth it. I started appreciating life more, the value of money and what I could do instead of flushing it down the drain. I have a much happier and more fulfilling life today than I ever did. Although the addiction and getting out of it hleped me grow as a human I would never wish it upon anyone. I believe gambling addiction is one of the worst ones you can have. Stay strong all of you out there who are struggling, there is a light at the end of the tunnel you just have to work hard to get there.
appreciating your life more yeah that sounds like wise and good will. you have felt it all, all the pain and make that good call. good for you. i just still think never easy to reach that level , being broke caused by gambling and restart your life. mostly i would keep chasing the losses just like zombie don't know what to do .
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China? on: September 19, 2017, 07:14:07 PM
Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China?  Roll Eyes Huh

The possibility is there Bitcoin can reach $5000 because the success of Bitcoin doesn't depend on China. China is only one country who bans bitcoin and Bitcoin is circulating around the world and lots of progressive country do invest as well in bitcoin.
this is what a lot of people worried about . they afraid that without the most bitcoin miner like china the market could crashed to the lowest. and the reality now says different way , it's still survive stable on the previous price when china exchanges, miners etc still onfire. i can't see the big difference here. bitcoin used by a lot of people from different places and that's more powerful rather than china alone.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: September 19, 2017, 07:03:05 PM
Trading is better than gambling, because you can really use the analysis to get a constant profit. Gambling is used only for entertainment and very rarely to not lose a lot of money.
I am totally disagree  with you, trading can't  provide a constant profit because with the analyses it depends in infinitely  of factors.
While gambling depends only in some statistics and some lucky predictions!
You are right in your points but you have to believe that trading can provide you a constant income if the traders is expert and have the knowledge of all the assets and will know about the market of that assets in which he is investing his coin and will have a good past experience in that trade.
the next question are , how could you become an expert trader? that's a huge and tough question by the way. and also it's fair enough to consider that an expert gambler could have a constant profit isn't it? just take a look to those people who everyday sit on the poker table and go home with always get a lot of money as profit? both are so similar , just the matter of risk.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: September 19, 2017, 06:43:16 PM
Whenever I win I withdraw my profits and invest those winnings in promising altcoins from where I keep on making regular profits as my capital to gamble is intact and profits from altcoin is an additional income for me which can be earned regularly.

It's a good way of making your winnings to become more profitable by investing to trading. Unlike others most of us are keep on depositing it for gambling and we really don't if that is going to grow or not because the risk is very high. And it's better if there are some other investments like depositing to casino bankroll's but only if you are able to make it up to 1BTC or higher.
he did keep despositing to gamble by the way  Tongue see the bold part , as gambling addictive then not surprising if most people do that. investment after gamble actually not a bad idea at all , it could locka and secure your winning funds for a better reason rather than have to make it gone again to do another gamble session.

He keeps on depositing only if he will get some profit from trading. But what if he doesn't have some profit for this day that will make him stop for a while. And you are right, investment will always be a good idea as this is going to give you assurance that you are into something that will give you higher chance of making profit unlike in gambling.
yeah i'm pointing out about how people mostly tend to keep playing with their winning money instead to keep it or use for any other thing like trading or to invest. the reason of course everyone know how the feeling won something good from gambling and hard to just leave it, only special rare person who can do that.

It's a very normal feeling that most of the gamblers are thinking that it will always be profitable to keep on using those winnings for the same method. But in the end once they experienced failure on it they will do something or will try another way for using that winnings in a wiser way.
yeah people always so excited when it comes to get an instant money. they don't want to do a hardworking . and gambling become their first choice until they realize that they have got addicted and can't walk away to quit gamble forever. one thing that you could do with your winnings are to use it for something more productive and reliable in real life and then start your hardworking journey.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: September 19, 2017, 05:55:11 PM
If you're a business minded person turning gambling into a profitable business is easy (IRL), because gambling is already profitable in so many ways. You can have your own place and equipment. And once someone tries to play you can charge them on every game its like a table rent. You can also try to use the crowd based gambling where a group of people pays up first and compete in a certain sports. Winner takes all but also you need to have a share over the winnings
the only way to make gambling an earning is when we invest on them or take part as a partner of a casino. Though when we know to manage our winnings then we can earn on it depending on our strategies.
Earning money in gambling you can take off from your mind it is not easy, and you use any strategy no matter nothing will work. Becoming a partner to casino site is worth and profitable, but you have to invest big amount first. And not all casino sites will make a profit because if you do not provide good support to players you will get negative feedback from players, and it will spoil your site reputation.

The reason is because, gambling creates an endless illusion to the individual because of the perception of winning while playing with risks. The problem with gambling, it makes you participate even more regardless of you winning or losing. This endless cycle of participation occurs especially when one gets addicted to it. Like you said, gambling in the long-run can never be profitable to an individual and in fact, harms even more the mindset because of lost in their priority. There are only 2 scenarios when one gambles: even if you win, you will come back and if you lose, you will also go back.
it could only profitable when you win a huge jackpot and just walk away! start a new business from it and become a billionaire. you might won't have to back to gamble in that case. but anyways that wasn't something that you could realize it easily and really rare near impossible happened. the ratio would be like 1 : 1 million! and in the end you are not a real gambler anymore which make it's not change anything , change the fact that gambling couldn't be profitable..
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why trading is better than gambling? on: September 19, 2017, 05:16:37 PM
For me when it comes to trading and gambling is that, in trading you can control the flow of the transactions and amount on how many should you trade and earn for the day even if the market is a bit hard to trade on several occasions. Since supply and demand are always available there will always be a chance to trade. Compared to gambling that there really is no certainty if you will gain or loose everything on every game.

In gambling you can also control the flow of your money that you'll gamble. Both needs discipline whether you'll gamble or trade but for me I'm more confident to do trading of alt coins. As I can easily learn the tactics on trading unlike in gambling, it mostly needs luck in able for you to have a better way of earning. We know luck is hard to depend on.
there is a pattern in trading where there's no something like that in gambling. it's completely random and you can't predict it based on any analysis. that's what makes people prefer to go for trading rather than go for gambling in term of making money. really you won't get profit if you choose to gamble.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: September 18, 2017, 10:31:02 AM
do you like slot games ?
I have a thought that i haven't won in slot games everywhere. It's even hard to hit a small prize and it seems impossible to hit the maxi jackpot. Probably i don't have luck with this one2

Not only you but many people are not lucky in gambling. If all gamblers can be lucky then all casinos need to close by now. These games are for just to give us enjoyment so always try your luck with a small amount and don't over spend just to win the jackpot. If you target only jackpot then you may lose all your money before hitting the jackpot.

that is true. there are few lucky ones out there but the house edge advantage is always at play - hence, some gamblers will win lucky and most are losing because the house edge advantage is applying to all bets. If you are lucky and win, cash it out already and don't bet more because you might lose it all Wink
the basic concept on how the slots machine prize built are like this : 100k players spent average $12 each. 1.2 million dollar in total , the house edge take 20% from it which means $240k and give the rest to 1 or several lucky players and repeat. that's what makes people get interested, the prize are so high , there's no harm really to give it a try with a couple bucks, as long as you didn't get overaddicted with this.
I would like to ask on where did you get that 20% house edge by slot games? I didnt even know such thing since from the start because i dont really care on what is the house edge of it but i do always think that it has high HE and now as you said its 20% thats freaking high and losing would really comes next to it.For now even how big those prizes are on slots i dont have any enjoyment on playing it.
it's an old research , available everywhere and from reliable sources like harvard university. they said actually around 5% and 10% but it could be 20% at some point. i just take the highest one as it's based on math and you should have a consideration for the worst scheme. high house edge could be mean once someone win the prize it has a very large amount , worth it.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: September 18, 2017, 10:18:40 AM
No it doesn't because i always use the same unit size when gambling whether the price is high or not. The only difference is the total bankroll i play with. When the price is rather high, the bankroll is relatively smaller compared to when the price is down.
I am also not affected by bitcoin price volatility, I always use the same amount on bitcoin even if the price is high or low. I don't have any problem with that, It doesn't affect my gambling habits.

For exemple if the price of 1 btc is 4700$, I bet with 0.01 btc for a singel or parlay in sportbettings, the same thing if 1 btc worth 3700$.
some people with huge bitcoin investment / bankroll would really consider so hard to change their bet size from bitcoin to USD due so fear lost too much value. but for those people with small bankroll i think it won't affected much and would remain gamble with bitcoin rates instead switch it to USD , it's normal.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: September 18, 2017, 10:07:34 AM
I don't go to a land based casinos because I don't feel comfortable gambling with a lot of people and I don't have someone to go with. I feel like the people go there are the rich ones who has plenty of money.

Not all the time. I go to land based casinos and i'm not someone that has a lot of money. I pretty mich go there for experience. Though the other is probably right. I don't think i'd go there if i'm alone. Of course it has to be with friends. Probably that's the biggest challenge for you, to find someone to go with you to a casino

I used to go play roulette but stopped about a year ago because I can virtually do everything right behind my computer with my bitcoins or Altcoins. It's part of the reason why I suspect cryptocurrencies will let online gambling sustitute conventional gambling one day.
a real life casino would remain there , online casino just an alternative. nothing should changed drastically. as i personally really scared when things changed / turned into digitally . everyone would sit down at their own home without say hi or something like that to socialize with other people around you. that time the end of this beautiful world are so near. i would keep gambling at real life and onlice casino naturally.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 09:57:31 AM
No, I never lose time on gambling, because I do not feel dependent on them. If I know that I do not have enough time, I do not start playing so that I'm not late for being late for playing games.

Yeah. Its not really an important aspect that should play a big part in your life. People should know to put things in their places. Gambling is fun and exciting, with a chance to earn money, but it's not something you have to waste ypur life on compromising work or school.
we will always looking for something dangerous when it comes to gambling , due it's really addictive you will feel your gambling activity are so important more than anything. include your work time etc. it's not something new. those people who did it are the one who have a lot of gambling problem and extremely addicted.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bought my first BTC @ $4600, slightly worried on: September 14, 2017, 03:01:57 AM
as for me there is no need to worry about, let's wait until the launching of segwit2x 2 months from now just be optimistic and keep holding to your btc and don't sell it, maybe that's the time of btc price increase upto 5000 USD ATH.
it's good to hear and see people so optimistic about bitcoin in the future , but there's no harm to always anticipate anything that could happened unexpected. for example the value of bitcoin freefall and taking so long time to recovered. which means it's feel like you have lost thousands dollar while you can use it for another good and active business. i suggest to use free mmoney to invest in bitcoin.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Little panics like this are good on: September 14, 2017, 02:28:20 AM
Now bitcoin fall down.so i think it is a little panics for me. Grin
There is always a deep plunge before a huge surge, that's something that everyone must know, And i hope people are really not selling because some bankers are predicting doom and gloom about the cryptocurrency market, Why on earth will your opponent really say something positive about you. Bitcoin is their biggest threat and they are afraid.
yeah and that's really worth in the end. take the current situation as a golden opportunity to buy bitcoin cheaply of course by watching the market , not with a random guts to place your buy order . hold as long as possible , bitcoin has a lot of potential to grow. don't be regret later in the future when you can't afford anymore to buy bitcoin in a high price.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: September 13, 2017, 04:24:32 PM
My reason for gambling of course is profit, if i can get some profit from gambling why not ? Well I don't like played gambling for fun, it just wasting my time

You seem new here. If you really think you can profit from gambling then you are dead wrong! There is very little chance to profit in gambling in the long run.
Most of the time if you win then that is already lucky. If you continue gambling then that will just ruin your day. You will soon realize that gambling is not
a business.
whenever you have got a win , and just the matter of time that winning no matter how much would just gone back to zero again. you would be in gambling circle like that , win $1 today in few weeks later you have lost $100 and so on. it's -EV , you shouldn't gamble for profit . limit yourself that gambling are for the sake of entertainment purpose only , otherwise you would get in serious trouble.

997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise up or fall down? on: September 13, 2017, 03:57:34 PM
It will rise up again maybe bu the end of the month. Dont worry coz it is just having a correction right now but this price will be back to high and will be skyrocketing again to reach its potential.
a correction that i believe would drive bitcoin to around $3,000 at least before the new year coming. it's almost guaranteed for bitcoin to have a value that keep growing with the fixed supply, as long as people still use bitcoin and keep circulating smoothly , it's doesn't need a lot of time for bitcoin to bounceback, within a month after the crash/correction it should be fine to see the bullish.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: September 13, 2017, 03:45:08 PM
Those people who can stop to gamble after they loose very big money and even a car or home, they are just sick, it is addiction and it's totally special kind of gambrlers. I'm not one of them. I play just for fun, cause of I have a lot of free time generally. Every moment when I earn good money like 50$ minimum to me it means that the game is over for today and when I loose one buy one I also stop, counting that today I just have no luck.
as time goes by an addiction could grow up turn to something worse like a mental illness , you don't know why it's really so attractive and can't stop repeating the same bad thing to gamble again and again. that time you should really consider seriously to looking for a professional help to get out of that nightmare. just gamble by rights , don't take it as a serious way to make money. it's a big mistake.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: September 13, 2017, 03:27:05 PM
Analysis on gambling is important because gambling works in numbers. You need analization, you need to analyze it for you to understand what card or dice you have. Those experts uses analization for them to analyze the number for them to make patterns on their card, end up winning the game.

In some cases, analysis is really necessary, but this can not give a guaranteed win, and most types of gambling are still based on luck, not analysis. I did not see people using even analysis to get victory all the time.
with analysis at least it's always make people more confident to place bet. and it has quite good effect too , even the fact that gambling always generates a random outcome . people happy to do an analysis before get started stake money to gamble. it's proven works to maximize your winning chance and avoid a losing streaks , just give it a try please and tell me the difference later.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom, loneliness, grief or lose on: September 12, 2017, 06:57:23 AM
No i never did that in past if i am sad it would mean i will always think about that incident even while gambling and won't be able to control myself and finally will become more sad because i lost the money we should always gamble with a clear mind and should have all the time otherwise we will lose
yeah basically when you are in the bad situation and decide to release all of the bad things through gambling i think it would only make things getting worse. not a good idea at all , it might help you but only temporary . it's just fulfil your lust for a moment. escape yourself from any problem to a better way , gambling aren't really an answer for sure.
