962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — Meet our awesome community! on: June 27, 2014, 06:21:19 PM
Maybe a good idea for the dev team is to build a website where you can donate to charity.
Like Warchild, kankerfonds, WNF enz.

I would set a cap like 100,000NLG per chartiy and when donations reach that cap contact the charity in question to say they can collect a donation
only thing they have to do is download the wallet en send out a press release or something like that.

I think this will generate some positif media attention in the long run and we can donate some of our mined coins to a good cause.

Just my thought's
 Grin

That isn't a bad idea! The dev team should indeed add an up-to-date counter to the website regarding each funds.

By donating funds to a Dutch charity they might reach the media and press indeed. For example the Dutch SBS program "Hart van Nederland" might be interesting in this kind of news, as they Always have that charity-related news (in contrast to the NOS etc).

The Dev team might consider to create a page where you can donate to individual created charity programs too. I think some people are interested in these programs AS LONG AS THEY APPEAR TO BE LEGIT. So, someone has to escrow this service (or the GuldenCoin team has to do this themself). "Hart van Nederland" shows such individual charity programs each day, for example now about that girl that went to the USA for some oxygen therapy (which was possible because of the donations that were send towards this project after an episode of Hart van Nederland I guess).  Sending GuldenCoins to such projects is way more easy - atleast for us - than doing it the regular way by bank.

LOL, suarez banned 4 months from football activity (poor liverpool) and can't play for uruguay in next 9 international matches (bye bye world cup for suarez)
maybe The Walking Dead producers should cast him for zombie roles Tongue

What does everyone think about the ban?

Too long? Too short? Just right? Tongue

Personally I think it's good. I can not stand the fact that this idiot is running around the pitch BITING people. I mean, seriously!

I was expecting long ban but I think he got really short ban it must be atleast 1 year ban. He did intentionally and it is not good for sportsmen.

Yeah. I wouldn't have minded seeing a year ban. He basically deserves whatever is coming to him after the crap he's pulled over the years.

He should be disqualified for all the World Cup and other international cups.        We can't allow someone to act like that. And if this was his first time, OK. But it's his third time, I've seen this before in the Dutch Eredivisie cup.

However, now Liverpool is screwed by his action. They paid a lot of money for Suarez, and they still do for his salary. Now they have to miss him for a couple of months as he's not allowed to show up at any soccer club / soccer match anymore.   It isn't the fault of Liverpool, it's the fault of Suarez himself.  That why I should say, ban him for the next World Cups and other international cups, but 4 months it quite a lot for Liverpool.

That 80.000 Euro penalty isn't much for him. That psycho needs some therapy, only 1-5 year olds act like that. Which adult is going to bite someone.. right, just Suarez.

Germany or Netherlands will be the winner. Who else can even compete with them? They will meet in the finals

I'd love to see that final Wink. Let's make it a revenche for the Netherlands, a revenche for 1974 Smiley.

Before the WC started I didn't though The Netherlands would be this strong. However, I'm afraid they underestimate Mexico now, allthough "we" are able to win that match. Especially now Van Persie is back (as he was disqualified for the last match) and Robben is at a great state.  We'll see sunday. I'm going to watch it at one of the big squares in the Netherlands, like most of the Dutch probably.   Smiley

it's not an underestimate it's just the way it is...

Netherlands is way better but Mexico could press on because of the fact they're almost playing on the home field

the crowd can press the players and that could be the key factor..

Yes you're right. But now the Netherlands won like this against Spain and Australia, they may have too much self-confidence.  We saw this earlier, 6 years ago, when we beat Italy and France and lost afterwards against Russia in the 1/8 finales (with the Dutch Guus Hiddink as trainer).

The climate and the crowd indeed are an advantage for Mexico.  The Dutch soccer players only trained 10 days in Portugal "to get known with the climate of Brasil", however, when they were at Portugal the weather was just as bad as usually in the Netherlands if I remember this well.

I heard they were going to schedule in some extra drinking pauses if the temperature is going to be above 32 degrees celcius.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — Meet our awesome community! on: June 27, 2014, 05:41:01 PM
The Merchants NLG should be after now is gift cards, coffee shops, any food and beverages. Stuff that everyone wants and under 10 Euros.

Houses and Cars can come in 3 years time when the value is much higher. Smiley

I agree with that. As the value of GuldenCoin is still quite low, you shouldn't buy and sell stuff with a high price. That's the same what is said earlier about one of the biggest ASICs shops in The Netherlands. However.. if we can use GuldenCoin to buy such expensive stuff I'm sure it will increase the buyorders of this coin Smiley. However, I think the current market isn't ready for such transactions yet.

For small purchases it can be good. You mentioned "coffee shops" Wildwest, how about using "GuldenCoin" at the Dutch Coffeeshops (which sell cannabis instead of just coffee). I think it's a great way to pay anonymously for your cannabis by paying with Guldencoin!   Hey development team & GuldenCoin crew, note this down Wink.

967  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Stilte op het Nederlandse subgedeelte on: June 27, 2014, 04:55:49 PM

968  Economy / Speculation / Re: massive cold storage of bitcoins? on: June 26, 2014, 08:47:08 PM
That is biggest problem of BitCoin, people don't look at it as a money to use it, but as a treasury to keep for rainy days.

Not all do, but many indeed. You know why? Because the price is still this speculative and the Bitcoin has a great potential: I think most of the users at these forums keep some of their BTC for the future, "just in case" it becomes worth much more.  And they're right.

I also use it the same way. I've got a part of my BTC at cold wallets, which I keep for the future. I've got another part to trade a bit with, for example to trade with altcoins and hope for some profit by doing that (not really successfull the lasts weeks, but I really was earlier) and i've got a small part which I USE. With this part I buy things.           I buy things from webshops which allow you to pay with Bitcoin, and I buy stuff on this forum. For example Steam codes, that works really well and fast Smiley.

I missed the USA vs Germany game today Sad.   I really wanted to see it, but was having some demolition done at my house...

Glad they made it through to the next round...I gave them no chance of making it...

You didn't miss much in my opinion. I'm not sure which one of these two is your favorite, but none of them played their best game I think.. Probably because Germany knew their were going to the next round anyway (and by that, placed other players in the first 11).

I hope I can see the second round of Algeria - Russia, I'm still busy now.

So in the PQF stage, these are the confirmed matches so far:

3. Netherlands vs Mexico

As i'm from the Netherlands, I think we're going to win this one Wink.  Before the WC I did predict that the Netherlands weren't going further than the 1/8 finales, but now I see them playing again Spain, I've got a little hope that we can reach the 1/2 finales too. It would be great to meet Belgium at the 1/4 finales Smiley
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else tired of new coins? on: June 26, 2014, 03:07:02 PM
There are two sides of the coin about this:

- Some new (alt)coins really have unique features and offer unique possibilities. I'd like to see those new innovative coins coming too.

But, - most of the coins don't offer something unique. I don't like to see these coins coming. The altcoin market is way too big already. We should somehow separate the good ones from the bad (pump&dumps, clones, scams) ones.  By doing this I'm sure the good, stable altcoins gain more value. Most of them are undervalued nowadays but can't really gain value as much of the incoming capital goes to shitcoins.
971  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 26, 2014, 03:01:59 PM
I can't believe people pay for 5 years worth of mining.
Most companies in bitcoin world barely can stay active for more than 5 minutes.

Well, the hashrate you rent now won't be worth much later on. I think it's quite worthless in about a year, as there are way more efficient ASICs on the market by then and the difficulty of the Bitcoin has increased a lot again.

An exception to this is that if you have rented a lot of hashrate. Sure, you will still get an income in 1-2 years, but it won't be much.  However, the target is to ROI before that time Wink.  I think it's a bit of a marketing strategy to promote 5 years of mining (allthough I believe they keep your hashrate running).
972  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: June 26, 2014, 01:38:23 PM
So how does this weekly limit work.

Is it 100 posts per week starting on the 17th, or is it 100 posts in any 7 day period??
It is 400 per month. From 17th to 17th.

Where did Stunna said that? I'm looking through his posts but I can't find it. Maybe my headache is making me reading over it, but I don't think so.    I hope it's the fact, that 400 posts per month are counted instead of 100 per week, as it takes much more time to count all the posts per week.

Appearently I missed the Primedice BTC Faucet Crazy hours stunt again.. xD.          How about starting it the next time a couple of hours later on? Smiley I'm more active in the afternoon than in the morning hehe.

973  Local / Off-topic (Nederlands) / Re: 2de hands mining hardware kopen goed idee? on: June 26, 2014, 01:18:57 PM
Alright.

975  Local / Off-topic (Nederlands) / Re: agx.io on: June 25, 2014, 08:17:01 PM

976  Local / Off-topic (Nederlands) / Re: 2de hands mining hardware kopen goed idee? on: June 25, 2014, 08:13:02 PM

977  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SteamBitShop ● Buy Steam games with bitcoin ● Summer sale!! on: June 25, 2014, 08:10:09 PM
Other than seeing the two sets of possible sales in the community choice, it's a surprise to everyone except Valve.

Alright, thanks for your reply. In 4 hours the Sale-list is getting updated, let's see what Steam gives us this time Wink.

Does anyone know how long the total SummerSale lasts at Steam? So not the day-sales or flash-sales we can find now at their website.
I think it ends on June 30th, at 10 AM pacific time. There will probably be one last day of "encore" sales, but I'm not sure if that would be the 29th-30th, or the 30th-1st.

Thanks Martok88!

So, we still have some days left Smiley. I also saw Counter Strike Complete was on sale, I just bought it for just BTC0.01579 Smiley

My last buy, Just Cause 2, was also a great buy for that amount of money. The deal went smooth again, thank you Martok88!
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NLG] Guldencoin — offline/online merchants, nlgcup.com, amazing community on: June 25, 2014, 01:04:26 PM
I just read over here that http://bitscoinshop.com.br/en/ accepts GuldenCoin.  Looks like a nice webshop! However, I'm only able to select Euro or Real at the homepage for currency.  Can you only see the price in GuldenCoin after you procceed the steps in the shoppingcart?   Recomendation: add the option to see the price in Guldencoin on the homepage, so add it to that currency tab if that's not too much work Wink.

I have read the last few pages and people worrying about prices/volume/algorithm... stop stressing, the top 10 coins on mintpal are all manipulated price wise, if those coins were so great surely people wouldn't part with them so easy creating those excessive volumes. Those are slot machine coins and everyone knows it and plays the game.

I agree with you. Most of those "pump" coins are in the top 10, but hey, Guldencoin will survive on the long run, they don't.  As soon as these coins are getting dumped they won't recover.
