You hold you win.  simple

What do you win ? Serious question. I've nothing against hodlers, but if you're a pure hodler, then the price shouldn't matter to you, should it ? 1000$ more, 1000$ less, what difference does it make ?

True, however it is not fun to see your gains evaporate. A Lambo is less fun if you have to wait till you are 80 Tongue

don't forget to tell your democrats friends that trump hate bitcoin... Smiley

Hello..

I have been searching this forum for a while now so how come this is the biggest thread in the whole forum? you are constantly posting speculations on the Bitcoin price?

ignore list ! bcz of what is this attitude !

Oh no, i did not mean any disrespect or whatsoever ! I just had no idea how to join this conversation then i randomly typed something... facepalm x2 & sweating bullets

for what is it worth i am sorry because i am not my self the past few weeks too many pressure on all ends

Grow some balls and tell B1tUnl0ck3r to go F**k himself  Grin

Your question is valid. After >24500 pages of posts it's good to ask what it is all about. Could have turned out into a strange tentacle stormtrooper Pr0n thread after so many posts...

The answer is "You are in the speculation section... we all have no clue... if we did we would be in the Economics section"

following the consensus it's an unignore... just saying, say what you want !!! bitcoin < AR 15 but AR 15 + bitcoin = great ! that's why they want our AR 15 (specially the legendary made with parts in Gold Smiley

and don't forget trump and historically the us gov runs pedo islands for it's vip (very important pedos) and prosecute us from victimless activities (like marijuana, cocaine or bitcoin) !!!

hehehe.  free Meng !

AR 15 is a nice weapon for on the shooting range and not for on the streets. US is #1 in school shootings.... it is unbelievable they think more weapons on the streets is the answer.
Trump is not my choice of a president (luckily I don't live in the US). However I have never heard of gov pedo islands....

Yeah nobody ever died from using, making or distributing cocaine Roll Eyes

This is our house now Ke-mo sah-bee

That is pretty fucking crazy to hunt bears with a spear and to be able to be successful.

Of course, it would not be a preferred outcome to engage in a battle with a bear and merely injure the bear without actually killing it, yet I suppose in some of the cases, that kind of outcome would inevitably happen.  Overall, it seems to be a pretty open kind of way to try to accomplish the killing of a bear, and it appears that in the USA spear hunting of bears is only allowed in 4 states.

I'm not really against it, and surely those hunters attempting to hunt bear with a spear without decent talents and/or strength might be weeded out in their attempt to employ such practices, too.   Wink

If a bear comes close it will stand on it's rear legs and try to grab you.
Wedge your spear between the ground and the bears chest or stomach at an angle.
When the bear comes down then he will do a hara-kiri and you win.

I personally prefer the Magnum Wildey method  Cool

P.S. If you kill something you must eat it....

1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: What the Effing Hell is Going On!?!?! on: July 17, 2019, 07:51:41 PM
Perfectly honest? I am out! I took limited profits from all my buys and converted to Stablecoin. I believe Bitcoin is going down to the $6,000 level and perhaps lower into the $5,000 region is also realistic. Since I bought down around $3,500-5,000 areas I did make profits but I have lost enough money from Bitcoin. Have fun reading all these lofty news stories about how it is just a simple correction and look at the charts for yourselves.

In red: that is what the effing hell is going on.

ladies and gentlemen, this is what capitulation looks like. we may not have seen the bottom yet, but the bulls are definitely surrendering and giving up their dreams of getting rich quick. soon enough, they'll all be spectators holding no coins, and all the sub-$10k coins for sale will be bought.

i predict we'll see new highs by october and that we won't go below $8k.

A $70k should be doable in 2 years ;-)
1129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $300 on: July 17, 2019, 07:49:14 PM
If Bitcoin goes to $300 all the people shouting that they will buy will pussy out.

Seen a lot of people saying  they will buy at X. Tell them that X is hit and they say ahhh it's not going to recover.
When it recovers and you show them your gains they say NEXT TIME I will buy...

So if you are a cheap-ass pussy then don't think about Bitcoin. Go enter some ponzi scheme and get proper-fucked  Grin

P.S. If Bitcoin hits $300 then something fundamental is broken.

I am sharing here an horror story, hopefully can be useful to someone.
The Most Expensive Lesson Of My Life: Details of SIM port hack

Quote
I lost north of $100,000 last Wednesday. It evaporated over a 24-hour time span in a “SIM port attack” that drained my Coinbase account. It has been four days since the incident and I’m gutted. I have zero appetite; my sleep is restless; I am awash in feelings of anxiety, remorse, and embarrassment.
This was the single most expensive lesson of my life and I want to share my experience + lessons learned with as many people as possible. My goal is to increase awareness about these types of attacks and to motivate you to increase the security of your online identity.

The lesson is:

1)  All code is garbage
2)  Digital Rube Goldberg machines based on arbitrary garbage code are not money
3)  Real money requires a hell of a lot more effort to steal since money is required to be a physical commodity

Those lessons suck ass. You hate crypto we get it however Bitcoin is no garbage code.
Real money is just an IOU on paper with no backing by gold so it is a LIE. Crypto can exist as physical commodity to in the form of a paper wallet.

If you want to bitch about Bitcoin bitch about the fact that it is financial anarchy and kind of like the Wild Wild West.

fillippone I feel your pain  Cry. Lucky for me I've not lost that much and have made good for the previous losses. Hope the losses were minor based on the money you invested.
I lost some with an exchange crash or two. Bought some shitcoins in a pump and dump group and figured out I got screwed over. Got divorced, Etc.
I think most crypto veterans have had there portion of rough water to swim through.

The problem with crypto is that you have no way of getting your money back and security must be paramount. People try to optimize profit and do it without any form of risk management/mitigation.
I have a great portion of my BTC in a cold wallet (as physical as you can get it). I know I am missing out on a lot of gains however I am more sure I won't get screwed over like you did.
A small portion on an online wallet to play with.

This is why you should see Bitcoin as a pile of cash or gold that is easily usable internationally and not as a replacement for the economy unless you want anarchy.

I wish you some good gains in the future!
1132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pompliano 75% Confident Bitcoin Price is $100,000 by End of 2021 on: July 08, 2019, 07:30:39 PM
What if in 2021 some of this big financial institution invested $4,000,000,000,000 at the end of 2020 what will happen? I believe achieving $100,000 in bitcoin price is very possible and we should understand that it is not about the gradual process that will make this happen but huge adoptions by financial system.

I dont operate off "what if's" with my money. I use numbers.

https://www.amsinger.org

Of course you operate off "what ifs." Your "numbers" aren't a crystal ball. They don't guarantee the future, which is why your track record here is so poor. They just give you a tiny, opaque glimpse into miner costs and hash rate trends.

He is just advertising his TA trying to make money off of the weak.
1133  Economy / Speculation / Re: it easy for bitcoin hit 1 million dollar without lies/bullshit -- sharp logic on: July 07, 2019, 07:30:05 AM
when the supply is very small like 21 million coins and demand is to much big and no body sell coins its surge the price to astronomical number and in this situation the marketcap is misleading somehow...

yes, which is why old hands around here are always telling people that market caps are useless metrics. when spot exchange supply becomes extremely low, it takes very little capital inflow to see exponential price increase. this is the magic of withholding supply from market.

to take an extreme example, let's say no one is willing to sell coins anymore so the entire sell side = 1 BTC. how high do you think the price can go? hello, quadrillion dollar market caps! Tongue

A quadrillion would suit my needs quite fine 😉
1134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Billionaire wants to buy 25% of the bitcoin supply on: July 05, 2019, 11:20:46 PM
billionaires and millionaires have been "parking" their money in bitcoin for a long time now. this is nothing new. but saying some billionaire wants to buy $36,550,000,000 worth of bitcoin in one go is just dumb hyped up news if you ask me. such amounts can only be accumulated over many years of buying and most of these types of people sometimes go to miners directly to acquire bitcoin (send block reward to their addresses) which means it takes longer even.

Nah just do it in one market buy order Grin
1135  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the Bitcoin price be in 2020? on: July 05, 2019, 11:17:34 PM
Do you really see a 600% increase within 4 months happening?

4 months? I thought we were talking about the top of the next bubble, or at least the end of 2020 since that was the subject.

Please try to realize how much money is needed to go to $70k let alone $100k which is also a mental barrier.
People tend to loose their heads in this Bitcoin goldrush.

Indeed they do but these mental barriers we expect as traders often don't materialize as expected. The key to bubbles is that no one is selling their BTC. The OTC supply disappears, exchange orders books are extremely thin, and speculators are mostly only selling for altcoins instead of fiat. I don't think any of us can fathom how little money it might take to see $70K.

One of the biggest mistakes I've made since 2013 is vastly underestimating how easily price can be pushed up on zero volume.

There are many exponential graphs and the BETI index that suggest $70k is achievable. $100k not so much.

I'm not impressed by the BETI's long term performance.

I was thinking begin 2020 but anyway I hope you are right and $70k is easily achieved.
Bitcoin can do crazy things however I think $100k is still a few years way away.
1136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why was $13,800 unsustainable? on: July 05, 2019, 06:08:50 PM

1. Holding is inefficient, intelligent people buy low risk and sell high risk.

2. If you trade on emotions, good luck. People believe whatever story they want when it comes to manipulation.

3. So you are arguing that every mining company is pulling a loss and choosing to avoid profit during profitable times? That is poor reasoning and lacking in analysis or understanding.

4. People who sold @12k-20k are still "being forgiven". I agree with you in this: chart line drawers are usually con men especially in bitcoin.

My clients will enjoy buying when you sell low and selling when you buy high. Wink You have no way of knowing what is reasonably priced and what is garbage priced.

Aaron

Having money on an exchange is higher risk than a cold wallet. So HODL has less risk.
MtGox, BTCe etc. Have shut down with a lot of losers.
If you call it inefficient and want to optimize profits that's greed (point 2). Better to HODL and make good profits.

Mining is the only anonymous way to get bitcoin and yes they initially mine at a profit and then at a loss.
It's an averaging strategy like buying the dip which is also buying during a downward market.
Also mining heats your house 😁

If you had the Golden goose then you wouldn't be sharing the info.
Most analysts with followers create distributed pump 'n dump using other people's money by "advice". Self fulfilling prophecy..
And they pay you which is a good benefit.

Please try to realize how much money is needed to go to $70k let alone $100k which is also a mental barrier.

how much money is needed, exactly? perhaps less than you think. price can go up very easily once supply dries up on the order books. that tends to happen during bubbles.

$10k was supposed to be a mental barrier too. just playing devil's advocate! Tongue

Just for the record I hope you are right and  $100k is achieved. Have a mortgage that I need to get rid of 😉
1138  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Is Your Last Chance to Buy the Dip Before Bitcoin Pierces $20,000 on: July 05, 2019, 03:28:14 PM
As we notice the market behavior, I've never think that the line will directly straight into high and don't believe any saying "this is the last chance".
Anytime we can possibly be in dumps, or we can be at $10k tomorrow, how this last chance makes sense if the price will drops down from its buying price today? It surely a big regrets for us.
But anyway, either we go for the price today or not, it is our decision.
If you have been in this market for long, though it is very volatile but it seems it follow particular pattern. I have been trading in this market and when people said Bitcoin is here today and there tomorrow I do disagree with them as at least  there is a channel that bitcoin do follow in it movement and the only way you can become profitable investors is to understand how to follow the channels for profitable investing.

So true. A lot of fear and greed is around, you need to filter/disconnect those emotions too.
1139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pompliano 75% Confident Bitcoin Price is $100,000 by End of 2021 on: July 05, 2019, 03:14:40 PM
I love the fact that he is "75% sure" about bitcoin going that high. I mean I wouldn't bet millions upon millions of dollars on something that has a 25% chance to fail. Or I would be afraid and scared as hell going into a surgery with a 25% chance of failure. There are things in life where 25% chance to fail is literally way too much.

I can say that bitcoin will be 1000 by 2021 and I am 75% sure about it too, plus I think bitcoin will be a million dollars by 2021 and I am 75% sure about that too, I know it made 150% but it still makes more sense than saying there is a probable chance bitcoin going up to 100k. He is just like Tom Lee and has a lot of bitcoins and just wants to create this bull run and hype so people would buy more bitcoins and he can get rich.

Captain obvious:
Other experts have guaranteed other high prices and they were wrong.
Humans cannot predict with 100% accuracy without tools like TA and maths.
Predicting human behavior and stocks with high accuracy is impossible.
Real traders are happy with a 5% edge and put in hundreds of trades to win.

True and once we went past it, it was like there was no more ceiling.
If we do pass $100k then I think we would go straight to $120k or something stupid  Cool
