1181  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: August 28, 2017, 05:11:42 PM
As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.

Only prediction can determine how long could bitcoin last. Bitcoin is strong amongst other crypto currency, there are people saying bitcoin will die at the end of several years, but see how bitcoin is survive and it is still exists. I think bitcoin nothing last but it is forever, there are many people who help by bitcoin so lets support it in a nice way.
Only haters can give such stupid statements about the existence of bitcoins.
A currency which is the leader of crypto world, how can you doubt its future ? This is so lame to say that bitcoins are going to die after some years; rather it is justifiable to say that bitcoins are going to grow more in coming years.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 28, 2017, 05:10:26 PM
Just the same way stocks lose value, bitcoin can also lose value but that value loss doesn’t seem to be in the nearest future because bitcoin is the new order of the day. Bitcoin is going to keep increasing and increasing till no man say.
humbly saying mates! But I am not agree with you ere because I am sure bitcoin is going to rock the floor of the stock market and the price and the Importance of the bitcoin is growing very fast and it is increasing the users of the bitcoin and more people are using bitcoin it makes bitcoin more popular so I think bitcoin is increasing the importance and the worth but not decreasing.
I do not think that bitcoin can lose its value completely.
I am sure there is a groupe of hardcore bitcoin fans who already got rich with bitcoin. They will support bitcoin, no matter what.
But they can only do that to a certain limit.
I think that bitcoin could fall in a really worst case scenario to a few hundred dollars, but not beyond it.
Yes, bitcoins are not going to lose values easily. They can be dumped by people only under special circumstances like when people lose internet connections, when crypto currencies are out of fashion etc. but we all know this is not going to take place so bitcoins will keep ruling out hearts.
Lol, only in dreams other currencies like minger eth, waves bla bla can surpass bitcoins. Bitcoins have thousands of time shown their real power and every time these shitty coins are unable to catch them or stop them. It is never going to happen that bitcoins will lose value. These are mere rumors.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Created Bitcoin ? on: August 28, 2017, 04:43:35 PM
I know you will tell me is Satoshi Nakomoto, in fact it`s not true. The only true is the username.

All technology what ordinary people use today was designed for military purposes.

EG : CPU, Digital Camera, GPS, Internet....

Maybe Blockchain was designed for this purposes olso ?

What do you think about that ?

I don't think so, because I believe bitcoin is a symbol of freedom and everyone can use it. And bitcoin is not made for military purposes or hidden purposes, but bitcoin is created as an alternative that allows us to make transactions easier without fiat money.
I agree with you that bitcoin is not created for them military or any hidden purposes because if bitcoin is created for just those things then there is no bitcoin for the ordinary people and it is just a secret that bitcoin exist but the reality is, bitcoin is for all the people who want to use and also buy it from the exchange for profiting purposes.
Satoshi Nakamoto has invented the blockchain technology and digital gold for the whole mankind, not for some specific sector or nation. It is our currency, the common public's currency. That’s why it is being used worldwide by people with all sorts of backgrounds without any discrimination.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would any government in crisis consider storing their cash in bitcoins? on: August 28, 2017, 03:01:00 PM
When a country's government implements a capital control policy, it will limit the amount of money that can flow outside their borders, while also limiting the amount of foreign currency coming into the local economy. In other words, the government will control the outflow of currency from that country to another country and vice versa.
This is one of the points of capital control policy but when we talk about bitcoins, it actually does not belong to any country; it is not the currency of a particular nation or location. So if a specific government decides to store their cash for their betterment, then I think they can do that but do not know the reaction of other governments.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 28, 2017, 07:28:20 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
I highly doubt. USD is a big currency, having a physical and expensive market price are big factors. USD is one of the highest currencies because its country is rich. I think, Bitcoin is not yet even close on surpassing Dollar since it is being used by lots of countries and people. It has a large community , as I've said, it is used by lots of countries and Bitcoin is only legal to some countries. Which also means that USD quite on different level.
At present bitcoins are not able to replace dollar but within a score, it will probably happen. Though dollar has strong market reputation but bitcoins too are not less than anyone. They are the king of digital currencies. With little more support and increased common use, bitcoins will stand next to dollar.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term HODL Cryptos on: August 27, 2017, 08:22:09 PM
ETH, XMR, NEO, ZENcash.
good ones for me too, I think eth xmr and neo really a long hold and will bring huge success same deal with bitcoin as they have future developments
that yet to see as of now but surely when everything got established the value will be more than what we are expecting.
I agree with you. On my list of long term holdings, bitcoins are on the top followed by neo, waves and eth. These coins have great project and are supported by good teams who know how to meet the demands of the investors. These coins have indeed sound future and same is the case of their investors.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash - hold or dump? on: August 27, 2017, 07:45:21 PM

Quick poll just to check what's the forum members sentiment towards Bitcoin Cash and how will it impact the BTC price (therefore - yes, it's bitcoin related).

Changing votes allowed.
Im doing short trades on bitcoin cash as of now on which i can able to make money out of those movements and i can say that i really love to go with the waves of it. Not to be serious on which one i would choose between bitcoin as long i can able to make money with it then i still can consider that thing the same on bitcoin which i do always consider as the original one.
Yes, nothing can replace bitcoins and it is really ridiculous to leave bitcoins for any other coin. As far as the bitcoin cash is concerned, for short term trading and even for day trading, it is a nice choice. Bitcoin cash is showing continuous fluctuations, leaving many people with loss and profit.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long do you hold? on: August 27, 2017, 07:09:44 PM
How long do you hold your coins?
Some coins I have a couple of months like Sia.
Some years like Ripple
I hold the LBRY for the longest time, almost a week. Usually I sell immediately if it has been a profit but since one week ago LBC never exceeded the price when I bought it so I was forced to hold it.
That’s pretty okay if you are holding it for a week. A week is not a big time; masses are holding their coins for months. You should stay patient to make our desired profit. I guess you are quite impatient in nature and want profits as fast as possible and do spend money fast too.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: August 27, 2017, 05:57:21 PM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

No.

Why would anything like that happen? Crypto world is different thing and the real world money is different thing. They have got no reason to be mixed with each other. Bitcoin is different currency and its working can not be same as fiat currency. It works on block chain which is artwork of internet stuff and algorithms etc etc. They will be used as asset always to trade on the network but they will never come to real life application and make disappear the money/fiat currency. Besides that, government will never allow that to happen because it will take decades to change the world's currency and its not good for economic growth.
Bitcoins and fiat are no doubt millions apart but that does not mean one cannot replace other. If Bitcoin can fulfill the uses of fiat in a better way, still you will say that it cannot eradicate fiat. By the way, what is meant by real money? Bitcoin is also real money, it has just a different form.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: August 26, 2017, 07:31:34 PM
How does one Put down Gambling for good?

Try marrying someone who already have 5 kids, maybe that should work. you'll probably save every penny and may even rob a bank once you have your own kids.

This is funny, but seriously it make sense anyhow. Cheesy At least with this advise you will really gonna have a serious life. Due to have 5 kids to your family.
Lol, that's hilarious! First of all, I consider marriage even more risky than gambling. At least, you are free when you are gambling. It is more like he is punishing the gambler for lifetime instead of getting him out of the swamp. Out of the pan into the fire perfectly suits such person. That's why I don’t trust anyone.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 25, 2017, 07:46:47 PM
I think the stable price will not get more popularity than unstable price. it is not like the conventional money that is why the stable price will not suit with it. it has become popular around the world due to its increasing rate of price. if this price value would not increase then this popularity would not have been established as like today. so the stable price will not encourage the people to join this platform.
The fact is that it is an unstable price that gives popularity to bitcoins among traders and this gives an opportunity for a good profit on the difference in the price of Bitcoin. But if we hope for the popularity of Bitcoin Among the whole society, then every person on Earth will be satisfied only because the currency has a certain stability.
In bitcoin invested more amount of speculative money. If for any reason the price of bitcoin will be stable then it could trigger the outflow of speculative capital and to reduce the price of the coins. The result can be panic on the market and a loss of confidence in bitcoin. Hopefully this will not happen, but theoretically it's possible.
It can’t be possible because everybody happy with the stable price because their savings are not decreased, and stable price give a sigh of relief to all those who have some investment in bitcoin, and the good thing about bitcoin is after this stable price the always increase. So due to this investors never throw back the bitcoin, because they know that price must move in the way to make them rich.
1192  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit vs Poloniex on: August 23, 2017, 08:06:05 PM
Hi bitcointalkers , tell me what do prefer YOBIT or POLONIEX  and why ?
I believe Poloniex should be the best choice due to being legalized. Poloniex is a safe platform, and your money will be safe. I don’t know much about Yobit, because I got there by mistake. The first time I visited the site was by mistakenly clicking on a link. Though I visited several times, but decided to quit because I had no interest.
1193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: August 22, 2017, 05:58:05 PM
I have sent BTC yesterday but one day passed it is not confirmed, I have raised mining fee, this sucks.
Maybe it happened because of some modifications, and problems are only normal to be encountered since Bitcoin is an open source, I think. And at this moment, it is now working well. It won't die easily, now that it's demand increased and its community is now larger. Also its price pumped a lot since the modifications or fork that happened. Let's just hope that these kinds of problems will be fixed immediately as possible.
I even saw someone complaining that he made a transaction that is still yet to be confirmed since 17 or 18 days now. I can’t really tell what’s doing that. But for sure, that doesn’t mean that Bitcoin is going down. I guess that will be due to people making transaction with low fees or none, and miners not giving their time to confirm such lower craps.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: August 22, 2017, 01:35:14 PM
Unfortunately, bitcoin is already actively used in corruption because of its anonymity. The whole reason is in human greed and while people will be greedy, corruption will exist with any currencies.
We must understand that corruption is not related to the type of currency, it is related to the users. If we are mistreating any currency whether it is digital or fiat, it is purely our fault. It is not only bitcoin that is used in the black market because before bitcoins this market was active too.
1195  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: August 22, 2017, 11:43:20 AM
To get steady income with bitcoin is do some small investment regularly or there is signature campaign and mining. Other way is doing our own business.
And if we have editing or designing skills we can take translation campaign or o some web designing on contract base.
For steady income we definitely need some day job or something that has stable price. Signature campaigns and mining are methods of earning bitcoins. I guess bitcoins should be used as long term investment and for a monthly stable income, we should do some job.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates on Bitcoin on: August 22, 2017, 08:59:33 AM
confidence plays a big part since Mr bills endorsed bitcoin, but we must also do plenty of research to bulk up knowledge on bitcoin as well. So dont get over confident just because Mr Cash said so.
Bill Gates has acknowledged crypto currencies and BTCs rule this world of digital currencies. He has nothing to do with the price of BTCs. I have heard that he has invested a little in bitcoins but I am damn sure it was a rumor. However, his company Microsoft has been accepting bitcoins since 2014. Indirectly, he believes in BTCs too.
1197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 22, 2017, 04:04:48 AM
I think the banks will not go away. If it goes away, a large amount of traditional money will go to where. So the government will never let the banks disappear and instead the banks will accept bitcoin. People can send and withdraw bitcoin in the bank. So I think bitcoin can not make the bank disappear that it will together develop
Bitcoins cannot wipe out banks from the face of this planet because banks have started to accept bitcoins. For instance, the Central Bank of Philippines has legalized BTC. This would affect other banks of all the countries and they might like to give it a thought. Sorry, but I am not aware of BTC limits. BTC cannot be defeated or replaced.
1198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: August 21, 2017, 07:37:20 PM

I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?

Yes of course there is, for example my own, I get a monthly salary from bitcoin trading results and the results are more than enough
That's pretty great, having a monthly income from trading is what everyone is looking for in trading and only few people
can do that and they are those who are really taking trading as a serious job.

Honestly, I dream to be one of the people who earn like you.
It is not an easy task to earn a fixed monthly income from trading. Only those who treat trading as full time job can manage to earn a fixed amount monthly. For those who are doing jobs and are able to earn handsome profits with trading every month, I think it is good enough for them.
1199  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: August 21, 2017, 06:50:40 PM
I'm not sure I have a strategy or anything, most important now I hold bitcoin and wait, keep waiting until the time is right for me to sell it again. Where the price starts to stabilize and the situation is conducive, I will sell all my bitcoins at that time.
In investing in ico, it is very difficult to plan, because the success of ico depends on the end result of the amount of investment. We can only think of how many dollars we will invest into the project, and I always invest 30% of my funds.
It is not always profitable to invest into ICOs. You are quite wise with your money and are not emotional fool who invests maximum in a project just because it appears so appealing. We should really be careful with our investment capital because investing more than you can lose can put you in debt.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 21, 2017, 05:46:38 PM
Bitcoin can already be called a global currency, but it needs to gain even more popularity so that everyone does not know about and could use anywhere without the need for an exchange for ordinary money.
Bitcoin is already accepted globally and used globally as an global currency. Bitcoin is best in terms of trading globally.
Also bitcoin has many advantages that attracts new users and even many new countries. Now also many governments are starting some seminar about bitcoins for increasing the knowledge of bitcoins for peoples.  Bitcoin just needs to reduce the transaction fees and yes then it will be more profitable.
