681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible Bitcoin manipulation by banks on: October 08, 2017, 09:08:34 AM
Unless a big bank comes up with a million BTC buy in, it is almost impossible to control and manipulate the price of BTC. I've read instances of banks actually trying to do this kind of a move and have miserably failed in their attempt and ended up settling for a significant loss. Opposing the decentralisation system, any attempts at assessing authority will end up in huge losses for whoever tries.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ebtc, Eltc, Edash, Eripple, Ebcash....You ready for the E cryptos?? on: October 08, 2017, 09:00:53 AM
As long as the idea is unique, differs from the other similar projects and provides a decent framework to its users, I'm fine with the projects pushing for improvement. With the current situation, it looks like everyone just wants free money and are blindly writing new projects without any practical implementations possible.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When are Altcoins going to properly recover???? on: October 08, 2017, 08:00:30 AM
Ever since most of the China FUD became irrelevant to the price of BTC and it has been recovering, altcoins are already on the road towards recovery though it has been on the slower side of things. Segwit2x will barely have any impact on altcoin prices as it would literally be treated like any other new altcoin in the market. Let's hope the market stays up throughout October and continues to be so in the coming months.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Schools Are Officially Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition on: October 08, 2017, 04:27:25 AM
This is amazing news for the Bitcoin world. With more educational institutions readying up to accept Bitcoin for tuition fees, its going to be easier access to education. With this in place, expect the education system to add digital currency and how it works into their syllabi which is furthermore great news for the whole cryptocurrency market.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoins: Is it possible in th future? on: October 07, 2017, 03:39:21 PM
The whole point of Bitcoin was to create a completely decentralized system for overall usage whereas banks and governing agencies oppose the whole idea of decentralization as they want everything under their control. Being digitized in nature, why would someone want to deposit Bitcoins in a bank while there are so many exchanges or services to buy from? Bitcoin ATMs for withdrawal on the other hand are really good signs of growth and have only been available in only select countries.
686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading dilemma on: October 07, 2017, 03:09:40 PM
I bought my btc - DGB for a price of 0.00000693 last August and I'm trying to sell it for 0.00000800 for I hope that the btc will rise this September but I guess I was wrong - It's kinda frustrating to be honest.
To all my fellow traders out there, Does the price of the bitcoin is bothering you - what are plans ? will you sell or wait?

Its quite a common confusion whether to accept the current price of Bitcoin or wait for it to go up a little bit. Most of the times, I tell myself that the price is going to shoot up and wait for the right moment. Overall, its an individual's unanimous call whether to spend and buy in or wait it out for some time to let the price go up and at times this can cause a lot of delay in trade which is clearly lost time unless the price skyrockets.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: More airdrops on the way? on: October 07, 2017, 02:42:17 PM
Airdrop is indeed an unique way of distributing a token and there have been multiple airdropped tokens over the years but none have gained that much in terms of popularity or value because of its failure to make an impact. Recent developments and advancements in the altcoin field have enabled developers to put forth their ideas and these coins are being distributed in airdrop rounds, having already gained popularity from the design and development. Taking examples of DeepOnion (assuming all the scam accusations are false) and eBTC, these have made a mark in airdropping their supply and made it successful that way. With all of this said, expect more airdropped coins with nice ideologies coming up in the future.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIRDROP OR BOUNTY Campaign on: October 07, 2017, 11:07:09 AM
Haven't come across any sorts of 'hacks' regarding airdrop coins or bounty campaigns, just make sure not to click any malicious looking links and you'll be fine. To be even more secure, get a subscription of any internet security providing antivirus which will automatically block phishing and other malicious websites from being accessed.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Are Indian Bitcoin Prices Higher Than International Prices? on: October 07, 2017, 09:32:01 AM
This has been a scenario ever since exchanges like Zebpay and Unocoin step foot into the Indian bitcoin market as 'exchanges'. The prices offered for buying bitcoin is higher than the current market price (even more than 5% sometimes) and the helpless us buy from here because they have a 'trusted' tag attached to their website. Clear case of profiteering and that is exactly why I have been avoiding Indian exchanges (Coinsecure is an exception) and using LBTC for almost all transactions.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone care about Bitcoin Gold or is it just Seqwit 2x?? on: October 07, 2017, 08:33:45 AM
First Bitcoin Cash and now Bitcoin Gold, I guess we'll have many more forks coming just because they want to make a new coin by deviating from the core. Its getting to a point where this is being done with no promise or potential, just to make a new coin and dump it as soon as the fork occurs. BCH at least did some productive for their userbase so lets see what BTG has in store.
For BTC, its just another fork and shouldn't shake the market that much but if it happens like last time, expect it to cross the $5k mark and go to another all time high.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will Likely Resume Cryptocurrency Trading by Licensing Bitcoin Exchanges on: October 07, 2017, 08:03:29 AM
Saw this coming weeks ago when China was looking into other things they could do and miserably failed with the idea. It was almost evident that this would be the final outcome as trying to eradicate Bitcoin trading by shutting down exchanges was not at all feasible and users would still find loopholes around. Either ways, this is typical scenario of getting enough FUD going for the price to drop by quite a lot and using this time window to buy in. I have to say I'm impressed with China's cards here, they've pulled off a quick one and would've profited in the millions.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Impossible to join DeepOnion airdrops? on: October 06, 2017, 01:46:13 PM
Hi,

I created a DeepOnion and a BitcoinTalk account today. Will I be unable to join any DeepOnion airdrops after becoming a Junior Member?

I read the rules and this one attracted my attention:
  • All accounts registered after Sep 1, 2017 is not qualified. (updated 25 Sep)

I'm new to cryptocurrency, so I apparantly already missed out on this one? I like the DeepOnion concept...

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you will not be able to join the airdrop just like the many others out there. It will take you at least a month with active posting to become Jr.  Member and DeepOnion have made it compulsory for accounts to be at least Jr. Member. The whole airdrop scenario with this coin is disruptive as it has lot of users participating and unless they update their rules, it is unlikely for new members to be able to join the airdrop.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: eSports Picks! [6 W / 1 L] on: October 06, 2017, 12:54:48 PM
Considered doing this myself a while back but dropped the idea, yet I'm glad to see someone offering some free picks. Might as well want to expand to Dota and all other eSports just to give the community a wider range of matches to bet on. Been a CSGO/Dota player since their respective releases and have deep knowledge about the pro scene, betting on matches can go both back and forth but with some understanding of the current rosters and meta, some of these picks are easy money.
694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the most used exchanges these days? on: October 06, 2017, 12:50:06 PM
By popularity, Poloniex and Bittrex are by far the most widely used exchanges for both Bitcoin and altcoins. There are numerous other exchanges with high trade volumes in the scene like Bitfinex which are gaining popularity as trusted ones. Also would throw in Nexchange in the list which isn't that popular but being a decentralized exchange makes it look unique.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin 2x... Oh my! on: October 06, 2017, 07:01:23 AM
There is a need to understand that forks are occurring as a result of a group of developers and users wanting to deviate away from the Bitcoin core protocol wanting to implement changes in the long existing system for betterment. We might even see forks happening just to dump the newly created coin for some quick cash in the future who knows.
More forks indicate that there is some serious contention with respect to Bitcoin core being outrun by these forked coins on the longer run especially when the block reward is decreasing exponentially as more Bitcoin is being mined every minute.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: October 06, 2017, 06:49:38 AM
Claimed the Bitcoin Cash just after the fork through my private keys and waited for the right moment to sell it. Although it was a pretty small amount, free money is free and ended up with a few extra hundred dollars. God bless forks as long as all the coins stay up and alive.
As for BCH, don't really regret selling it as I needed quick bucks but I do see a decent road ahead with all the support it is getting from the community.
697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have created a site that analyzes twitter volumes for various coins on: October 05, 2017, 01:13:46 PM
Hey guys, I just wanted to share my website with you, it might be a tool to you as it is for me. Check it out at https://cointwitterscanner.azurewebsites.net. All feedback is welcome Smiley

Looks like a decent site with a basic design but very informative at the same time. I must ask how you are taking the data for these tweets whether based on hashtags or simply direct coin names being mentioned in tweets? None the less the statistics are graphs talk a lot about a particular altcoin over and its popularity over time and I'm impressed with your unique idea that you used here.
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the future of bitcoin in 2025? on: October 04, 2017, 07:32:13 PM
2025 seems like a long way to go and with all the recent developments, nothing is for sure. Yet, I believe that Bitcoin will keep its head up the water and survive till then. If at all it does, I would predict the price to be over $25,000 at that point just because of the growth potential of Bitcoin. All we can do is wait and watch as time progresses and hope that it actually goes big.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn free coins?? on: October 04, 2017, 07:26:04 PM
As most of them would've already answered your question, I would add a few more areas where you can get some bounty. If you're a good writer or a content creator, you can participate in blog and YouTube campaigns which usually give out a decent bounty. The best way to earn coins is my signature campaigns which carries the majority of the bounty in most campaigns.
700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin presently at a resistance hold or break $4100 to $4300 on: October 04, 2017, 03:12:24 PM
Consistently moving between the $4k and $4.4k mark which makes it hard to call whether it will fall off or rise up to all time high. One thing is for sure that the lesser panic sellers at the time of FUDs, the better for the price of Bitcoin. Best case scenario, with some big players chiming in, it could break the $5k barrier within this year but then again, nothing is certain.
