201  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are people doing so many things to frustrate crytocurrency on: March 16, 2018, 06:20:39 PM
I came across an article recently. Google is joining Facebook and Twitter to ban all crypto related ads. Why does everyone seem to want to frustrate crytocurrency?

This move by Google isn't an attempt to irk cryptocurrencies at all but they are focusing on their users' safety more than anything else. Might seem like a move to add frustration into the already bloodbathing market but isn't really the case as this would happen sooner or later. Just a matter of few weeks before it is forgotten and the people will be back to focusing on the price as it shoots up.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: list reasons for using cryptocurrency on: March 16, 2018, 04:24:08 PM
Cryptocurrencies opened up a lot of new avenues as an alternative for the age old traditional credit/debit card payment processing. Not only from an investment point of view but implementation and usage of various coins in their respective fields has been improving things overall. Additionally, it is much more secure compared to credit/debit cards as the only thing that needs the safekeeping would be the private keys and wallet backups.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS : Bank of America and JP Morgan Are banning CC purchases on: March 16, 2018, 03:45:19 PM
Is anyone concerned about this?

This is definitely a good move that is going to address security concerns with respect to stolen credit cards. In the case of stolen CC's being used to buy anonymous tokens like Monero, Dash or Verge, it would become almost impossible to track. Would like to see the other side of this move as well as we will be witnessing people who buy cryptos with CC complaining about the move as a setback.
204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin price change? on: March 16, 2018, 03:12:19 PM
Its called by a simple phrase in economics, 'supply and demand'. While the market is governed by various sources that are continuously buying and selling Bitcoins throughout the day, the average demand causes a price soar while the average increased supply usually tends to cause a dip. Again, this comes down to exchanges which have preset ranges of price while being traded at any particular point of time.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Manny Pacquiao invests in cryptocurrency firm, is set to launch PAC Coin? on: March 16, 2018, 02:49:58 PM
Senator Manny Pacquiao is venturing into cryptocurrency as an investor in blockchain firm Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX).

GCOX, a Singapore start-up, claims it is the first cryptocurrency exchange of its kind as it enables celebrities to create their own cryptocurrencies, which they’ve dubbed Celebrity Tokens.

No thanks with the whole concept of 'celebrity tokens'. There are already enough shitcoins plaguing the crypto market and we don't need any more of them. The world needs projects with an vision to make something happen and we all know these so called celebrities are just trying to get into the act by trying to play the deception card which is never going to work.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin loose its popularity? on: March 16, 2018, 02:30:21 PM
Ever since Bitcoin became the mainstream digital currency throughout the world since the last couple of years, the popularity factor has been off the charts. We witness more and more users boarding onto the hype train and getting their hands onto cryptocurrencies.

As we see that bitcoin price is down since last three months but still not reaching to its highest level.
Is bitcoin loose its popularity ?

The price of Bitcoin has nothing to do with its popularity. Not like it is declining in popularity due to dipping prices and vice versa, but the popularity only seems to be reaching more heights as time flies.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this will benefit you? on: March 16, 2018, 02:12:13 PM
Although this news will not personally benefit me in any ways, this will definitely ring bells and add to the pile up 'good news' over the week. This is not only going to be a sign in the right direction for altcoins but also a welcoming development for the citizens of Thailand as there is no outright ban on cryptos which most countries are doing.
208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence on: March 16, 2018, 01:41:19 PM
Artificial intelligence on the side of justice. A group of scientists from Michigan, Stanford and the University of California developed the ICORATING algorithm, which is capable of detecting ICO scammers with an accuracy of 83%.

This is just amazing work by whoever was behind creating the algorithm as this will surely help in weeding out the scams from the truly potential ICOs. 83% accuracy is pretty decent considering the number of ICOs that have been turning out to be scams in recent days.

The algorithm examined more than 2000 ICO projects, life expectancy and price changes for the crypto currency, whitepaper, constituent team, GitHub repository, websites and other information from the network.
This development should greatly help investors safely invest their capital in a truly existing and profitable ICO, and also analyze and give an overall assessment of the market.

Definitely going to sort out most of the the general queries of investors regarding projects scaling into the future. Taking the most important things into consideration while also cross verifying sources is just the way to go in finding the shady ones and putting them on a blacklist by alerting investors about the same.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone be bought? Bitcoin developers? on: March 16, 2018, 01:29:10 PM
'Turning their back on Bitcoin' would be the last thing any of the core developers would think of as they are included under the 'early adopters' category for obvious reasons and get more fame just being in their place rather than being labelled as 'rebels'
When you realize that its not a matter of money but just the vision of making the world a better place and reaping benefits from the same, they probably would've retired with millions of dollars in their pockets, ready at their disposal.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: If this chart is correct, it puts the price of bitcoin at $91,000 by 2020 on: March 16, 2018, 01:16:17 PM
I have read this article and I just wondering if those people panic due to sudden price dip will change their mind. I have always a believer of Bitcoin even its price varies every day.

Believers will always have their day when the price gets back to soaring highs while the panic sellers are left behind trying to cut their losses. It is a general trend of the current day market to have sudden price drops due to various influencing factors which have always taken a toll on the price indirectly.

But in the long term I know that the price will always go up.

This is every believer's words and it has always held true from the past few years now and continues to look the same.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you suggest to new investors in crypto? on: March 16, 2018, 01:04:31 PM
what are you general suggestion/recommendation to those investors?

A recommendation I would put in is to know what you're investing in, the project overall. Beginning from the team who is behind the whole idea, their background profiles, only if it is new to the scene. Understand how good or bad the token has been doing from the past 24 hours till up to a a month before.

Pro tip: Stay away from ICOs unless you're damn sure that it is going to be successful. (false in most cases)
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Price of site? on: March 16, 2018, 12:46:13 PM
Hello,

How think how much cost my site if I want to sell it?
http://oddevenbets.com

very interest your opinion

Providing statistics like total number of registered users, overall wagered amount etc would be a good start to trying to get an estimate evaluation but without these we would just giving our insights based on your website's design (looks lack luster) and the domain name (looks decent at most)
213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best / hottest cryptocurrency to buy during the dip? on: March 15, 2018, 02:44:36 PM
During this seemingly bullish time for the crypto market, I'm banking everything on the likes of NEM to continue its green run even amidst the rest of the altcoins undergoing a bloodbath. It has grown at almost 40% over the week while every other token seems to be on the back foot and this trend looks to be a continuing one.
214  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How did you learn blockchain development? on: March 15, 2018, 02:21:30 PM
I would recommend starting from THIS basic source code of a simple blockchain which is written in C language. It has the source of a completely implementable blockchain which you can understand and digest before moving onto further aspects.

This would be a much better way to start it off don't you think? /s http://lmgtfy.com/?q=blockchain+development
215  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan to Call for Crypto Rules at the G20 Summit on: March 15, 2018, 01:47:34 PM
Japanese representatives will push for the adoption of global rules on cryptocurrencies at the upcoming G20 meeting in Argentina. Next week, the summit will gather finance ministers and central bankers in Buenos Aires. Other countries also want to put crypto matters on the table, with signals coming from key members of the European Union.

Seems like a wonder when Japan is the country that is standing up and trying to lay down the rules while getting other countries involved in the mix. This is going to make the air clear about 'regulating cryptocurrencies and countries would come down to a common agreement while pushing for a move towards making breathing room for the crypto market.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Coin (BNB), buy? on: March 15, 2018, 01:24:18 PM
For an exchange alleged being conspiratorially hacked and a lot of FUD flying straight out of their official words, BNB is a coin to monitor rather than directly investing as it will go through a lot of fluctuation. Still, I think they will take their own sweet time to create a decentralized exchange from scratch and this is only possible given that they solve their current security concerns first.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking will still be significant until cryptocurrencies can "stand on their own on: March 15, 2018, 10:30:54 AM
The whole idea of a decentralised system of currency and transactions was to achieve self-reliance while having the highest level of security. All these banks and other centralised agencies are tampering the name and fame of cryptos by calling it out to be the next Tulip bubble. This will go on till the end users begin realising that these centralised agencies are having a field day manipulating them to think that cryptos are a menace.
218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic information to know the potential of a coin on: March 15, 2018, 10:17:56 AM
There are a lot of accountable factors determining the potential of a ICO/token. Beginning with the developers involved with the project and their backgrounds, how much they plan to raise (soft and hard caps technically), allocation of funds and most importantly, what the project brings to the world i.e its roadmap and progress throughout the years of its existence.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google ban crypto ads. on: March 15, 2018, 10:03:41 AM
Really appreciate the fact that Google stepped it up, in line with Facebook and completely banned crypto related ads, especially ICOs. In this world of cryptos, there is no surety whether a given project could be legitimate , and Google ads drive massive traffic. Let alone theymos, who disallowed ICO to be showcased on ad slots here, this move is definitely going to prevent a lot of scams from happening.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we have erc20 token for ICO but built on own blockchain on: March 15, 2018, 09:50:05 AM
For the ICO we issue erc20 tokens but which will be used later on the blockchain i created

ERC-20 is the standard token created on the Ethereum platform with the use of smart contracts. No, you cannot just create an ERC-20 token and move it to your own blockchain as it is governed by the Ethereum platform.
Your best bet would be to create your own, self-sufficient token on your own blockchain rather than trying to create tokens on blockchain platforms like Ethereum.
