Before you ask about any false dichotomy, consider why merging the two would be better than having just two independent systems.

I also asked them how new mining farms are supposed to sync a new full node in the case that they will actually have full 1TB blocks: 1 TB per block = 144 TB per day = 1.08 PB per week. It will literally become insanely expensive (if not impossible) to sync a full node from scratch (and continue to run one). |
