541  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with about 50 crypto currencies! on: September 26, 2019, 06:21:29 AM
Do you have plans to offer an affiliate system?

We think about it. But we reduced our margin to a minimum. What % do you think is necessary for an affilate System?

I have no idea what similar websites offer. You have a few big competitors so you'll have to come up with a way to attract more traffic. Have you considered adding Lightning payments?

Is this from Max's personal collection?

Not that I am aware of.

Hey TNA, I asked MJ to host this for me, but I didn't specify to him if it was from my collection, etc. I only offer unfunded works  Grin

Ah right, I misunderstood his post.

I did redesign each of these cases once, and had to pay for new molds each time - at $2k per side = $4k per case mold x 4 molds = $16k just on mold fees not including the parts... and I'm mentioning this because I will be asking MJ to host/auction a funded Hydra suite of mine to help absorb some of these costs.

The auction is now live: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5186777

Happy bidding everyone!! Cool

Says the guy promoting Minter in his sig, an entity depicting its Team as ... wait for it ... cartoon characters: https://www.minter.network/#team

I understand your attitude to cartoon characters. It looks weird. Honestly I have no idea why Minter decided to show their team in cartoons.

But in CIS they have biggest community and everyone is aware of Minter. A lot of people are buying something for their currency and develop different projects based on Minter. They do a lot for adoption.
Probably they won't change game, I don't know, but they are trying and it is something more than cartoons and typical scam. Anyway DYOR.

Speaking about my signature, the fact wearing signature of specific project doesn't mean I am a big fan of it. It is about money.

So promoting a scammy ICO is fine but wearing a casino signature isn't?

Both priv keys brings " unrecognized format" issue on btc sweep option.

The coin I bought off him had the private key dicked with just in case someone else got their hands on it. If I remember rightly he removed the 5 and swapped around the last two characters of the private key which he mentioned in an email on posting it. Good job I remembered that bit.

Dunno if he did that for later coins, this was when he was calling himself PBC or something, but worth checking if anyone has a similar issue.

I redeemed a bunch of his coins in the past (the earlier ones and the 'lucky round' coins, never had issues.

If someone buys BTC thinking it is "Bitcoin, a peer to peer electronic cash system" they are being scammed.

Serious question: Have you ever read "A Cypherpunk's Manifesto? Please read it, it will only take you a few minutes. It explains perfectly what is meant by 'electronic cash'. It has nothing to do with (unsafe) 0-confirmation transactions or low transaction fees.

Quoting myself, would love to hear Roger answer.

I originally read it in the late 90's, and read it again just now.
It has everything to do with safe 0-conf transactions and things like the Silk Road.
The very things I've been very supportive from day one.  I even helped fund and implement the very first wide spread privacy tool for BTC (Cash Shuffle inside the blockchain.info wallet that was eventually destroyed by the full blocks), and that's why I'm now busy funding and implementing things like cashshuffle.com for BCH today.

There is no such thing as safe 0-conf transactions. Satoshi made that clear from the beginning:

Quote
Instantant non-repudiability is not a feature, but it's still much faster than existing systems. Paper cheques can bounce up to a week or two later. Credit card transactions can be contested up to 60 to 180 days later. Bitcoin transactions can be sufficiently irreversible in an hour or two. (source[/url)

Merchants can still choose to accept 0-conf transactions with Bitcoin if they want to. As you are well aware of, there a plenty of double-spends happening on the BCH chain: https://doublespend.cash

I really don't understand why you are so against having multiple layers. How can you expect to replace an entire monetary system on a single layer? Even Hal seemed to understand that 9 years ago:

Bitcoin itself cannot scale to have every single financial transaction in the world be broadcast to everyone and included in the block chain. There needs to be a secondary level of payment systems which is lighter weight and more efficient. Likewise, the time needed for Bitcoin transactions to finalize will be impractical for medium to large value purchases.

I know that block size is a delicate subject for BCH users but you are making serious trade-offs by increasing it. Everybody should be able to run their own node. Not just 'to help the network' but to be able to verify your own transactions (instead of depending on a third party explorer), increase your personal privacy and giving you a choice when it comes to development updates.  You continuously mention how much you value economic freedom and yet you are completely missing the bigger picture by merely focussing on fast and cheap payments. There are dozen of altcoins that are faster and cheaper than Bitcoin (and BCH) yet they are hardly being used. They are (including BCH) all lacking the components that truly matter.

I'm unlucky. My two coins are simply empty.

Gravitate you are an asshole. Some pm to every user who paid for that brass crap would do. Not everyone sitting 24/7 on this board. I understand problems can happens. But you knew from round one what you was doing.

2016 I purchased this and today someone I gave it as a gift called to ask how to redeem them. They empty. Gift failed. Than fuck at least I have decency to pay them back and pretend everything is fine.

Good job. What a dick move.
This space is so shit. And yeah, if I met you I would tell you to your face what kind of douche you are.

Were the coins unloaded or did someone move the funds?

All he does is repeat the whitepaper title over and over again. Sad thing is, he doesn't even understand (or wants to understand) what 'electronic cash' truely means.
