Facebook announced Libra and Donald Trump goes ballistic on Twitter and he even pulls Bitcoin into his ramblings. This gives the final blow to anyone with some authority to openly support Bitcoin or any other Crypto currency. Donny is someone to be endured and then disposed of. I don't believe anyone surrounding him has the slightest respect for him. I doubt the average toddler would after attempting to communicate with him. And did you watch any of the Libra hearings? There was quite a considerable amount of proper understanding and positive sentiment regarding real crypto from the politicians in attendance. There was unrelenting loathing for Libra.

Oh my god so fucking funny
At least he wasn't sent any of this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395747.0I was and I'm rather weak minded at the best of times. My weener had to be prised from a bus exhaust and I was forced to pay to clean it up.

There could be tons of them. If I were female why would I bother mentioning it?
I especially wouldn't make myself known here as I've seen some EXTREMELY strange reactions when someone outed themselves as one of those impossibly exotic creatures. I seem to remember a few posters demanding that they leave immediately.
I also enjoy the posts telling us that women are incapable of trading as they don't have the mental capacity and they can be taught about crypto by buying them kittens and shoes.

All I'm suggesting is adding more ethos, more significance by referring ourselves to something bigger then bitcoin itself, the idea of it.
I think your view is admirable but it's a losing battle. All anyone can do is conduct themselves as best they can and point out the blatant dick moves from others as and when they happen. I'm very intrigued as to what the future of this forum will consist of. In a way it becoming irrelevant would be a sign of real success. It's going to be a messy process no matter what.

I doubt any candidate other than Mr. Yang will be positive for BTC. All the others are most likely neutral with perhaps the odd enemy amongst them.
Bitcoin seems to irritate both camps. Right wingers feel it fucks with their right to fuck with us. Left wingers, not that there really are any in the US, feel exactly the same in the main. Ceding control is alien to all of them.

Coinbase has reinstated GBP Faster Payments today. Interested to see whether this banking relationship lasts any longer. I guess the bank forcing out Zcash means they're paying attention at least, even if it's rather odious. I'm not super confident myself.

^Google translate fail.
Just been reading its posts. I don't think it knows enough English, or any known language, to understand what Google means, let alone translate.

I'm asking this because it feels to me, that legendary members should be a bit more, like... legendary? In my eyes only a few deserves this status, those who where influential but are no longer with us. Sheesh. It's just a forum filled with assholes writing rubbish in the main. I guess we could crowd fund a Bitcointalk Mt Rushmore somewhere cheap and underpopulated like Kamchatka if it's that meaningful. Many of the previous forum mainstays of the deep past, who might fit that image of battling for our futures with their bare breasts dangling, turned out to be scammers or went nuts anyway just like most who came after. Arriving earlier or spouting rubbish for longer in no way makes someone somehow more pious.

Well if CSW's handiwork in the fraudulent evidence department so far is anything to go by they'll likely be proven to have come out of the factory in 2014.
My prediction for this phase of his slow ruin is that Craigy's dear old mum will report under oath that he didn't actually learn to read or write until 2015. And he still can't count beyond the number three.

I'm not sure anyone would spend that much on it now who had money or the Roger Ver attitude.
It would instantly go for many, many times more than $1 million if it were ever put up for sale. Crypto.com supposedly went for $12 million last year and last year wasn't exactly a classic year for the whole market.

Wow. Shit just got a whole lot realer, kids. Whatever doubts there were are certainly looking way, way shakier now. Where do we go from here? Rusty STAPLES.

Depends on your purpose.
If you want to gamble or buy drugs then obviously an exchange is not going to work. If you just want to make sure no one who has your addresses can trace future transactions, other than the exchange, then you may as well use an exchange. I do it fairly often.
I would only do it with a place I was fully KYC'd on and had plenty of track record. And if you did it constantly they may eventually ask you to bugger off.
|
|
|
If the exchange broke their own policy then they should indeed cough up. The weird IP thing is a bit different. Some exchanges allow you to specify which IP is permitted. Perhaps they should be clear about that. Plenty of people log in with VPNs et al.
Other than that no way should exchanges be liable for the lax security of their users.

I doubt a formal sig ban is actually necessary. Most of these posters are so staggeringly hopeless they'll never get into any conventionally run campaign that has properly considered applications.
I would be looking into booting any campaign that had automated sign ups but I can see why that might be further than the folks running the forum want to go. All the same that's what breeds the drippiest shit.
|
|
|
Nope. It's possible they may be flouting regulations but even then that hasn't been explicitly stated yet in most places.
Legality is less important than what the third parties you use make of mixed coins. Something doesn't have to be illegal for them to not want to deal with them. In a couple of years it might look rather different to now.

Should I complain?? My pounds where much cheaper when I came to the UK few weeks back.... Actually my whole trip was cheaper, mmmmm my there are some advantages for us average peeps Average peeps who... don't live in Britain. Can all of us Brits marry you? Is bigamy allowed in Belgium? If not, can we buy some of your relatives? is Boris shagging that Priti?
My mother wrote to him offering him £75 for sex at any Travelodge of his choice. The prick never wrote back. She hasn't been the same since.

Legendary outside WO: challenge accepted.
If you're truly serious then let's see you become a self made legendary entirely from here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0I reckon there is somewhere around 1-10 merit available from ALL of the users there. I think you can manage that around the same time the very final satoshis are mined.

Good morning gentlemen! $50 worth of BTC for the first person to successfully post a Vegeta meme when we cross $9,000 again (Bitstamp)I’m bored, thought it’d be cool to keep people on their toes and play a game Is it not time to push the boundaries in these contests? Both in terms of creativity and debasement/humiliation. Perhaps you should award a similar amount to whomever writes and performs the best rock opera about how incredible you are by the end of the week. I would stipulate a minimum 20 minute running time just to stretch those musical muscles. Or anyone who spells your username out in diarrhoea on the suit/forehead of a known politician.

The Bakkt launch was very disappointing in a week their volume only reached $ 5 million (Source: coindesk.com). Not according to expectations. But we must be patient. And we have to wait and see how Bakkt's volume performs over the next few months, whether they will be able to attract investors or not. And how it influence the price of bitcoin.
CME was already long established and everyone who was anyone was already on there. All they have to do to is click on the new BTC section in the platform they've always been familiar with and away they go. Bakkt may be set up by the connected but it's still a brand new platform and getting rolling takes time. There'll be risk mitigation, integration, system stuff. We've no idea how sluggish or demanding professionals may be until they feel ready. They might have a list a mile long that needs ticking off before they're allowed to go on there. It might be a months or years before the userbase gets fully comfortable with it. I assume Bakkt know this and have planned accordingly.
