181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 16, 2019, 01:12:47 AM
This is a warning to all newbies that seek help from ico rating websites when they are looking for projects to invest money on..

Facts
- You have good money to pay? you will get good rating on the platform, this is the way of ico rating websites
- Good projects can get bad rating on them, and that doesn't mean they are bad project..

For example, you must have been hearing about how successful gowithmi project was right? check out the rating on icobench using the link below.

https://icobench.com/ico/gowithmi

The score is 3.3 where as projects that have better rating turned scam as well, all i am saying is its better to rely more on your own research and not rating.

Ratings on websites such as ICObench and the like do not reflect good or bad a project. Many projects have high ratings but their performance after entering the market is not good or sometimes many are scam. In my opinion, the research itself is more convincing that we decide to invest, one of which is about partnership
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 01:09:40 AM
Back in 2017, many ICO projects pride themselves of having one of the biggest telegram community. Some of them would market it as a proof or sign that many investors believe in their project. People who have been around all know that most members there are airdrop/bounty hunters who only joined to qualify for the reward.

I also saw one post earlier asking for telegram group members and one of the condition the buyer posted is that it "needs to look real".

Anyway, this post is just a reminder to beginners in crypto. We don't want you to fall for these tricks to lure you into investing into their projects.

I agree that we should not invest based only on the size of the community in the telegram group. The number of members in the telegram group does not reflect the project or investment interest. In my opinion, it's better when deciding on investments, based on liquidity and active trading in the market
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose a good project to invest. on: November 11, 2019, 12:34:42 AM
How to choose a good investment project
I understand that many of us do not suggest investing in ICO but I have to say not every ICO scam, invest in IEO no matter  the  exchange is, it is better than investing in ICO.
However, these steps help to judge the project.
1.   The team behind the project, it is extremely important to see who guides the project, experiments, are they able to implement the road map.
2.   The idea of the project, what the project solve, is the project can change something or introduce something new.
3.   What has been done and are there any steps the team is taking to prove credibility.
4.   Is the project is ICO or IEO, IEO will be better.
5.   How many exchanges the project listing.
6.   The type of the exchanges(however this is not issues as some project cannot go with top exchanges, top exchanges required a lot money).
7-     check (twitter, facebook, telegram, website metrics).
8-     It will be good if the project has ann on bitcointalk forum.
9-     Pay attention to what the team promised, it should not be far from reality or promises to enrich or quick profit (such as 200% profit).
10-   Look for old project in the market at least 3 month old.

I agree that the team behind a project determines how the project will produce the product. The most factor in a project is the product produced and this depends on the vision and dedication of the developer team. If a project has a dedicated team, I think the project will be successful and be glimpsed by big exchangers
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin to invest excluding ETH on: November 11, 2019, 12:30:47 AM
Right now the market situation is not so much to make any predictions but can do some experiment at our own risk by investing into altcoin.

But if we have to try something different by investing into a new altcoin which has caliber to perform well rather than investing on a reputed altcoins like Ethereum.  Kindly suggest which would be the best altcoin to invest which is under $1.

For altcoins whose prices are under $ 1, I think there are plenty of potential altcoins. Coins like Tron, Stellar are some coins that are currently priced under $ 1 but have a large transaction volume and are traded on almost all major exchangers
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite project these days? on: November 11, 2019, 12:26:49 AM
What is your favorite project these days?

I think Ethereum it's the best project. haha

There will be projects in various fields,
1. Please tell me your favorite project.
2. Recently, let me know what you think is the best project and what the area of the project is.

In my opinion, a coin that has good potential right now is BNB Coin. The more frequently Binance holds IEO, the chance that the price of BNB coin will increase will be greater and I think BNB Coin is one of the profitable coins if we hold it for the long term
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have been some of your biggest losses/mistakes and successes with trading? on: November 11, 2019, 12:22:00 AM
Any interesting stories to pass the time while we wait for the next boom?

The story that I regret in cryptocurrency is not selling tokens or coins when the price has gone up high and hoping the price will go up higher. This happens maybe because of greed who want to get a large profit quickly
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of tokens on: November 11, 2019, 12:18:31 AM
So regarding the fact that what it takes to create a token for example an ERC 20, i ahve found a gig on Fiverr.
Check the link.
https://www.fiverr.com/wedowo/create-your-ico-website-and-erc20-token?context_referrer=search_gigs&source=top-bar&ref_ctx_id=34a69322-cdbf-40a4-98e6-b9f51a1be52f&pckg_id=1&pos=3&context_type=auto&funnel=657f18cb-30b9-4ede-a7f7-139b402768ed

Seller is creating an ICO website as well as the token for just 50$. So your basic invetsment is 50$, Now you just need to do marketing by just making a telegram group and launching a scam bounty scheme and give members greed to give 10% commissions. And you are ready to scam people.
People choose these scammers to scam them and thats all. Not saying that all of the tokens are of this type but most of them are of indeed.

Most of the scams that occur do exist in erc20 due to the easy token creation process. In my opinion, ethereum alliance must be able to prevent this fraud by asking the developer team to provide a guarantee or deposit when they want to sell tokens or at least ask for identity documents so that when fraud occurs can be quickly known.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: short term or long term investing on: November 10, 2019, 01:29:35 AM
I also like the short-term investments in crypto. Because short-term investments are not too risky to cause harm. But I also play long-term investments for certain altcoins Like Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, LTC and BCH. For short-term investments I play for altcoins which price below $1.

There are indeed coins that are suitable to be used as short-term investments and some that are suitable as long-term investments. Not all coins in the market are good, some are bad for various reasons, so we must be able to sort out so that we don't get caught assuming that cryptocurrency is profitable and long-term investment because in my opinion, everything depends on the performance of the coin itself
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the movement for alternative money a response to? on: November 10, 2019, 01:26:10 AM

Peer to peer means that the middleman in today’s traditional
transaction could disappear if cryptocurrencies revolutionize money.

Cryptocurrencies, in fact, represent a vote of no confidence in the policies
of central banks and government monopoly of money. These ‘peers’ see central
banks as consistently devaluing money through currencies that aren’t backed by anything
but government promises.

But what if the money revolution succeeds?

As in any revolution, today’s top dogs have the most to lose.

I still doubt the role of Bitcoin will replace the money that we know today. Fiat money has an effect on economic growth and also on the existence of the country and if Bitcoin takes over the role of fiat money, I think the country will not exist anymore. But if Bitcoin is played as a digital asset, I think this makes more sense
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 10, 2019, 01:22:34 AM
No doubt bnb is already the king of its category which is exchange based tokens and i do not see anyother exchange based token to come even close to what bnb has become today, i think bnb and binance will maintain this dominancy untill they are popular and they are able to maintain their userbase and volume growth.

I agree if it is said that BNB Coin is the king of exchange tokens. With the largest marketcap value among exchange tokens, BNB Coin can be said to be the king of the exchanger token, but if it is expected to become king in the cryptocurrency market replacing Bitcoin, I think it is still too far away and it is difficult to shift Bitcoin as the main asset in the crypto market
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot Altcoins on: November 09, 2019, 02:00:19 AM
I think the hottest altcoin is that before big exchange debut.
the altcoins from top are profitable but in range 1-5% daily. Than new trade.

We have already 3000 altcoins with us and for me, the hottest coins are the top coins too. Coins that are presented on the best exchanges.  In the world of crypto currencies, the amount of profit that can be earned is most important thing. We all know the names of best altcoins. In my honest opinion, no altcoin is as hot as bitcoin. I hope some of them at least try to be like it. BNB is famous nowadays.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 09, 2019, 01:56:51 AM
Everybody knows that BNB is one of the best coins in the market, I hope it is impossible for BNB to become king of all coins, even though we see active developments from the team but at the same time we are seeing active developments from the other potential coins. Of course, BNB will dominate the market, but it will not become the king of all coins.

Agree that although BNB Coin always develops and innovates with its platform, it is difficult for BNB Coin to become king in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin dominance is still strong and investor confidence in Bitcoin for the long term is still high. BNB Coin might be a good alternative investment in addition to some other altcoins
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: November 09, 2019, 01:53:32 AM
In my opinion the old altcoins will still stand firm in the market and will not suffer too much despite the new altcoins more and more.  Shocked
Yes, it’s surely going to happen because coins are not new in the market but a few coins have a long history so it has a strong value in a market that's totally unbeatable. Bitcoins, ETH and Ripple is not the only name but these coins are having great value that till now no other coins have achieved. New coins are still struggling so low market value can make them vanish otherwise they will have to get a high number of investors in a short time.
Lets just not also forget that those old coins are the whole reason why new coins stand any chance to survive or even come to existence. But there was no coin available to support bitcoin. Even ethereum had the support bitcoin. These have earned their present status after a lot of struggle and coming over hurdles. Any new coin with a good potential will definitely get success with time. Big achievements demand perseverance.

In my opinion, old coins can still survive because they are supported by a large transaction volume and investors do not believe in new projects. Investors will certainly await the development of new projects to replace old ones while old coins always develop their platforms so they last a long time
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes developers keeps making on: November 09, 2019, 01:49:37 AM
The biggest mistakes developers make that leads to bad ending for many projects are

1. Huge Discounts
Many new projects are still making this mistake over and over again, huge discounts like 50% is insane and it always bother me how the hell the early buyers won't end up dumping since they have already see big profits.

2. Lack Of Solid Products and Ideas
Lack of working products and real use cases is why many investors are not taking new projects very seriously, no one would want to hold such tokens or coins for long, developers need to start working on how their project's token or coin will be very demanding throughout the globe

3. Bad Exchanges
Imagine new projects that make over millions of dollars in ico or ieo and end up listing on bad exchanges with no enough volume, what do they expect to happen?

Discounts may not be a mistake because this is one strategy in attracting investor interest. In my opinion, the fault of the developer team is the lack of dedication to develop projects in accordance with the target roadmap so that investor confidence falls.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: November 04, 2019, 01:17:21 AM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

If I invest with $ 1500, the first thing I do is invest $ 1000 for bitcoin because bitcoin is an important factor why the cryptocurrency market exists. The remaining $ 500 I will share in several coins such as Ethereum, Litecoin or EOS
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges that conduct IEOS You should stay away from ? on: November 04, 2019, 01:14:16 AM
Well if i were an investor, i would rather not invest on IEOs since most of the IEOs were done on shitty exchanges so, i rather invest it on altcoins than invest it in IEOs even though that there still good projects but i feel that it will not prosper i don't know anyway, i just don't like to invest on IEOs

but these are my exchange to stay away from.

1. LAtoken
2. Yobit due to pump and dump exchange

Agree, if we hesitate to invest in IEO organized by small exchangers, we should invest in altcoins that have been traded on large exchangers. With current market conditions, many good altcoins are cheap and are worthy of long-term investment
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: November 04, 2019, 01:10:43 AM
Strategies that prioritize bitcoin as a major investment are good and in my opinion important. In addition to bitcoin, for altcoin, it is better to choose altcoin which is in the top 50 because it has a large transaction volume and also the exchanger factor determines me in deciding to invest
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC defeats the purpose of Crypto. Thoughts anyone? on: November 04, 2019, 01:06:14 AM
The cryptocurrency market is different from a few years ago. The cryptocurrency market is valued at more than $ 200 billion dollars and of course this must be regulated so that there is no abuse and it is not a place for criminal activity. With KYC, the potential of the cryptocurrency market as a criminal activity will be reduced and in my opinion this is a good thing so that people's negative perspectives on cryptocurrency disappear
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoins have a future? on: November 03, 2019, 01:27:35 AM
The market for Altcoins has been bad recently, and many Altcoins have died and lost a lot of money. What kind of Altcoins do you think will die?thanks for sharing

It is difficult to predict which altcoin will die or which will shine. But in my opinion, we can see it from the rankings in the coin marketcap. If a coin has a large liquidity and transaction volume, the opportunity to shine will be even greater
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an expert tell me how to identify a shitcoin (example: Insight Chain) on: November 03, 2019, 01:24:13 AM

Hi there,

rather new to crypto. Currently looking at Insight Chain (http://www.insightchain.io/ & https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/insight-chain/).

Now this smells like a shitcoin (pump and dump), but (as a noob) I can't really put my finger on why this is the case. There's a website, whitepaper, twitter account, etc. But all what they are saying doesn't make much sense, though not being a blockchain expert, I might simply not understand what they are saying.

To some more experienced cryptofans out there: How would you go about deciding whether an altcoin is a shitcoin (ideally using the example of Insight Chain)?

Thanks!

There are many definitions of shitcoin, but I am more interested in calling it a dead coin. Coins that do not have a clear project and are also not active communication from the developer team so investors are always in doubt whether the project will be in accordance with the roadmap. In addition, a coin can be said to be a dead coin if the transaction volume on the exchanger is very small or there are no transactions at all
