221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many ICO / altcoin scams? on: October 20, 2019, 03:11:08 AM
More than 80% ICO projects turn out to be scams. I am also holding some shitcoins myself, whose fault is this? Mine, totally mine. You have to be precautious in this business, and not depend on others for doing that work for you.

If there were government regulations, I think we would be less likely to keep valuable coins or tokens. I think government regulations can prevent many ICO scams and also provide certainty to investors
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this because of libra ? on: October 20, 2019, 03:07:47 AM
Probably not in particular.

However, Libra has had a long record of being prosecuted by governments and regulatory agencies worldwide. It's not really surprising that new legislation is still popping up that is essentially targeting the existence of Libra.

I don't really see how a centralised project like Libra can survive without government endorsement. Especially when they see it as a threat to current frameworks.

Without the support of the government, Libra coin is still constrained by regulations in several countries. If you get approval from financial and government authorities, I think the potential of Libra coin is very large because it is supported by the large number of Facebook members worldwide.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: October 20, 2019, 03:04:23 AM

If the only loser in 2019 out of 2600 suspects is Ripple, how is the community cleaning up this f--ing mess that we find ourselves wallowing in?

Although Ripple has a lot of cons people, Ripple also has a large supporter. We can see this from the daily transaction value which continues to be above $ 10 million and this indicates that the liquidity of the ripple in the market is very large.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra Just Got Its First Major Supporter in Congress on: October 20, 2019, 03:01:16 AM
This wont help them. Big firms are lefting the project

Still they are hoping many will take consideration due to this. I think this news can attract somehow new investors who are avid fan of success of Facebook and stablecoins. Though Libra is facing big rocks since bigger companies are withdrawing their partnership but who knows there will be next to that first known supporter.

Even though many large companies are leaving this project, I think the Libra project will continue. The potential to control money circulation is very beneficial for Facebook and I think Facebook will find a solution to this regulatory deadlock
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What opportunities Cryptocurrencies have created since it becomes very popular on: October 19, 2019, 06:32:16 AM
I think many people have changed their fortune after the crypto price increase at the end of 2017. If they are able to reinvest profits on some investment property or bonds, maybe they have retired because of the large profits they enjoyed in that period
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 19, 2019, 06:29:11 AM
Not all altcoins will end up being pathetic, you have to think about the impact of bitcoin market dominance. Ethereum is still at number 2 according to coinmarketcap, don't rush to make a decision. In my personal opinion, bitcoin has some weaknesses in the concept and in the value of "assets", so I'm sure cryptocurrency still requires altcoin to develop blockchain technology, stable coin is a very good concept for the government to see that digital currency can be used as a payment tool.

I agree that not all altcoins are bad, if we look at the top 50 coinmarketcaps, transaction values look promising and can be a long-term investment. If what is meant by bad altcoin is altcoin which does not have large daily transactions and is not actively traded, I agree that it is better for us to sell it than the value continues to fall
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: October 19, 2019, 06:25:46 AM
Not possible. Bitcoin will remain as the biggest cryptocurrency. I am not saying it is the best in terms of features or tech but no coin can replace Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum is a close follower however you can see what happens to Ethereum when BTC increases a little. The domince will decline a little but it will not go below %50.

That's certainly true, mate. Ethereum may have been following Bitcoin closely and all, but that's that. It seems unrealistic for Ethereum to overcome the original cryptocurrency after all. Perhaps, Ethereum would serve better as a complement of Bitcoin rather than anything else. As of now, Ethereum has a long way to go before it reaches Bitcoin's market cap of over $140 billion dollars. The current economics of ETH also affects its long-term pricing. With an undefined supply for ETH, it'll continue on a constant inflation rate for years on end. This would make it unable to replace Bitcoin in its entirety, anytime soon.

Nonetheless, Ethereum being a smart contract platform has outperformed Bitcoin in many ways. It can be used as the "fuel" of smart contracts, while Bitcoin can be used as a long-lasting store of value. As long as Ethereum remains actively developed and maintained by its foundation, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts Grin

I agree that ethereum is a complement to bitcoin. Bitcoin as money and ethereum as a platform for business. This is an ideal illustration of the use of cryptocurrency but what is happening now is that many competitors have begun to emerge for ethereum and this could change the ranking composition in coinmarketcap
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Facebook coin going on: October 19, 2019, 06:22:33 AM
Recently there is lots of bad news are coming for fb coin Libra. In this circumstances what do you think Libra coin is going?

Although many of their partners have left the Libra project, I think Facebook will continue the project because it looks profitable. The problem with the Libra project is the regulation because Facebook is domiciled in the United States, which makes it necessary for them to comply with American regulations that are notoriously strict when it comes to cryptocurrency publishing.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My list of 5 Sleeping Giants of 2020 :) on: October 17, 2019, 07:19:20 AM
Of the five options above, in my opinion DGB and ADA have great potential in the future. Both of these coins are traded in large exchangers, in addition to having large liquidity that provides a sense of security for investors
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects are responsible for the death of their tokens on: October 17, 2019, 07:14:32 AM
In this kind of bad altcoin market i am still surprised that some new projects are giving out 50% price tag for their tokens, this is a project killer if you ask me, this move is only good if altcoin season is out and surging, 50percent is way too much in this kind of market we are in presently,  tell me i'm wrong

For new projects, it is usual to give a large discount to the initial investor. Competition to seize investor funds for new projects is very tight and one of the ways to attract them is to provide a large discount. If the project is good, even though it doesn't offer a big discount, I think investors will still be interested
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: p2pb2b exchange top 1? on: October 17, 2019, 07:11:28 AM
I don't trust any statistics coming from this exchange. It has severally been accused of faking volumes, how did it make it to such spot, who are the traders bot I guess! Regulations are needed to sanction exchanges faking volumes.

Agree, for me right now the best exchanger is binance, huobi or okex. I have not experienced using p2pb2b but I think the exchanger is not as large as binance or okex. I think this exchanger needs more time to compete with other exchangers
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges that conduct IEOS You should stay away from ? on: October 15, 2019, 09:30:03 AM
I never had a problem with LAtoken, as long as I transact in LAtoken there are no obstacles. Maybe many people are having problems so I often hear problem issue about LAtoken. If the reputation is not good enough, we really avoid it and prefer to invest in IEO held by large exchangers
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes developers keeps making on: October 15, 2019, 09:26:57 AM
The biggest mistakes developers make that leads to bad ending for many projects are

1. Huge Discounts
Many new projects are still making this mistake over and over again, huge discounts like 50% is insane and it always bother me how the hell the early buyers won't end up dumping since they have already see big profits.

2. Lack Of Solid Products and Ideas
Lack of working products and real use cases is why many investors are not taking new projects very seriously, no one would want to hold such tokens or coins for long, developers need to start working on how their project's token or coin will be very demanding throughout the globe

3. Bad Exchanges
Imagine new projects that make over millions of dollars in ico or ieo and end up listing on bad exchanges with no enough volume, what do they expect to happen?

Of the three things, in my opinion a fatal mistake is to choose a small exchanger as a trading place. Small exchangers sometimes provide negative perceptions for investors because with funds raised, sometimes a project can be listed on large exchangers and those who already have a reputation.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin? on: October 15, 2019, 09:23:46 AM
While the whole market of cryptocurrency has had a solid 2019, one coin specifically has triggered up to 300 percent gains since the beginning of the year. Binance Coin (BNB), the official currency of to the world's top ranked crypto exchange by volume, has outpaced both Bitcoin and the market with its huge increases in the course of the most recent month. Given how Binance Coin has, to some degree, taken over the market surge, Is BNB the new Bitcoin?
No other cryptocurrenccies will replace bitcoin , mnay speculate that bitcoin will die in the future and a new  bitcoin will arise but the fact that no other cryptocurrencies will definitely replace the king of all cryptos. Bitcoin is indeed in the history now of cryptocurrencies because of what it does to people and many have earn a lot of money when its value reaches its peak and goes skyrocket in an instant.

Agree that although many coins want to rival bitcoin, I think investors will still choose bitcoin as the main investment. BNB Coin may be backed up by large exchangers but not everyone believes in BNB Coin, this is different from Bitcoin where almost everyone believes that bitcoin is an asset
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC blocks Telegram with its $1.7 Billion token sale on: October 15, 2019, 09:19:46 AM
https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2019-212

What detrimental effect would this have on other firms using their existing tools/software which are widely used and are then used to offer tokens to their massive user base?

Do you think this is just nit-picking by the SEC or do you think these are real concerns and not just technicalities which resulted in them halting the token sale?

What do you think Telegram should do next?

I think the telegram has a legal team that will look for loopholes in this SEC regulation. Aside from telegrams, Libra Coin also faces regulatory constraints, but I am optimistic that this will not stop the emergence of new projects from large companies.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: short term or long term investing on: October 14, 2019, 07:01:25 AM
Investing for long or short time depends on the coins invested in and the time of investment. One cannot nowadays buy a token from IEO or ICO and hodl for long time. Selling at the prevailing price at the our of listing is the wise thing to do. Bitcoin and other well-known coins can be held for long time base on the time of investment.

I agree, investment for the short term or long term depends on the product produced. If a project has a partnership with a large company and is also traded in a large exchanger, I think a coin like this deserves to be used as a long-term investment because it has large liquidity
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fee-less cryptocurrencies...Are they the future? on: October 14, 2019, 06:58:05 AM
Personally, I have found out that fee-less cryptocurrencies are extremely convenient for sending micropayments worldwide. Most of them are blazing-fast in transaction confirmation times, making them an attractive choice on top of Bitcoin or Ethereum. Cryptocurrencies such as EOS, Steem, and Nano have no fees at all, becoming a favorite among several crypto enthusiasts (like me).

However, it's yet to be seen whenever a fee-lees structure is a viable solution for the crypto economy. I mean, if there are no fees on the Blockchain, then how would delegates maintain their loyalty to fee-less cryptocurrencies? I believe that in order to maintain long-term stability, there needs to be an incentive via the collection of fees among the network's users.

Nonetheless, do you think that fee-less cryptocurrencies are the future of the crypto industry? Or are they simply a niche? Huh

Small transaction costs might be an option as an investment but in my opinion not the biggest factor. There are some coins that have small transaction costs but because they do not have a good product and are also not in demand by investors, the marketcap value is not too large
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: October 14, 2019, 06:52:39 AM
All of this can happen at any time in the crypto industry, but I think it's hard to find new or old coins that have low volumes and can be very large the next day. I have observed that coins whose volume is low are getting worse and there is no further development.

Old coins like Dogecoin still survive, even one of the coins with the greatest liquidity and also one of the coins traded in many large exchangers, even though we know Doge was originally just a meme for bitcoin.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra partner drop out on: October 14, 2019, 06:48:56 AM
Visa, mastercard, ebay, paypal, drop out from libra..
will libra still continue ...? why one by one partner liba drop out.? https://twitter.com/coindesk/status/1182747730248118280?s=21

In my opinion the Libra Coin Project will continue even though many partners have left it. Facebook is a big company with huge resources and I think they don't want to miss the chance of success in the cryptocurrency market because the potential is still big
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Is The Right Time To Trade Your Tokens on: October 07, 2019, 06:41:47 AM
The right time to trade is when the trader or investor think he has made the expected profit or when the investor realize the project has lost all that it takes to be successful and therefore anticipate an imminent dump of the coin. It is always to do follow up on the project, read more about the coin's market trend in order to know the possibilities ahead of the coin.

Agree, in my opinion the best time to trade is when we have made a profit. It's better if we are not greedy and hope that prices will continue to rise because it could be what happens is loss. Getting 100% profit at market conditions like this, in my opinion is good enough
