Please be aware that it did not disclose to us the amount of bonds we held upon logging into GLBSE to send money to asset holders. I believe I know that amount I held though.

Users can log in to claim their bitcoins and submit info to the asset issuers for the bonds they hold.
Just asks for permission to release info to issuer, your email, and bitcoin address to receive coins.

Sounds like one of those sites where you "earn" bitcoins.

BitCrate is filled, break the crate while it lasts
"You broke a crate and got 0.00025 BTC!" New site > http://kickme.to/goxkeygen > Gives around 0.00002 BTCs, once per day. It generates MtGox code, which one must redeem on MtGox site. I like! "Your account has been credited by 0.00002111 BTC"

My loan has reached 100% completion, despite GLBSE shutting down. The service provided by BTCjam has been more than satisfactory. You have earned the closing fee! Don't spend it all in one place!

This seems like a bad idea and I most likely will not join in.
I'm in. Bitcoin needs a voice and a way of funneling resources to the tasks that require them. Without us having to worry about them being charged or accused with money laundering or supporting terrorist operations. *cough* GLBSE *cough*

People bought or kept gigamining bonds with the expectation of being able to trade them in for terramining. Had there not been an upgrade path, Im sure they would have traded a lot lower.
However, like I said earlier, I dont think this is your biggest problem right now, nor is GLBSE. You were, I believe, fully authenticated at GLBSE, chances are the SEC will be contacting you about your sales of unregulated securities. That they are denominated in bitcoin rather than dollars, AFAICT doesnt change a thing, and the potential penalties are severe, including up to 5 years in jail. You can also expect to be forced to refund your bond holders for the full IPO price on top of paying a hefty fine.
You might be a very small fish for the SEC, but if they are going after anyone, it will probably be you, since they would have your ID, you are a US resident and the largest asset issuer on GLBSE. Lawyer up James, you should have done that a long time ago.
Hi Puppet, Unfortunately, we can't have it both ways. Either you want me to start doing things to protecting myself or you want to me continue on. Which do you prefer? Thanks, gigavps While it may be too late to have these bonds be on a public market, where people can buy and sell them without notice. You still have the buying power and the hardware to provide a service for people who wish to be involved with mining but can't manage and/or purchase their own rigs. I think we're returning to an age of private mining contracts.

Thank you everyone for bringing me to 100%! I'm still waiting for news regarding the GLBSE before I activate the loan. Hopefully everything will be up and running tomorrow. If not... I may be purchasing mining equipment sooner, rather than later.

Hmm... I wonder what I should advertise for? Anyone know of a good BTC accepting charity?
I'd ask the bitcoin 100 for info on that.

Oh, I have the measurements taken care of. I was just wondering if I could do this. TEXT HERE If not, I have multiple versions I can send.

I will reject your ad and not give you a chance to fix it if it's unacceptable.
Do I have to pay to find if it is acceptable? Sorry about double post, can't edit posts in an auction thread .

- Ads must not be taller than 3 lines of default-styled text (as they appear on my browser, which is about 700px wide). This is around 42px.
Are you saying that the ad should be no more than around 42 px tall? Are you also limiting the length of the ad to around 700 px? Just wanting to get some clarification before "soon" comes.

So it all comes down to members that pay, eventually those that pay the most will have most power. Equal votes my ass, they pay the bills and put food on the table ...
Are you suggesting that they will put something in the bylaws that will allow people to purchase more than one vote? I think he's suggesting that the amount of money you give them should carry no weight in your voting. I also think you knew that already, but just wanted to be provocative I'm pretty sure the only way to donate after purchasing a membership is anonymous donations. Or am I wrong?
