Quick someone buy hourlybitcoins.org!

 Cheesy

I think these other free bitcoin sites need to get in touch with dailybitcoins and find out what they are doing right.
Not only do they 'not' run out of bitcoins on a regular basis, they also give out bigger prizes ( 1 prize of 0.025, 9 prizes of 0.01 ... etc. in the next 24 hrs. )
and now they can give them out every hour instead of once a day.

You think bitcrate would be doing better, everyone knows that busting crates attracts attention.
462  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free Bitcoins Listing on: September 04, 2012, 03:59:37 AM
http://dailybitcoins.org pays out hourly instead of just once a day now.

As in they send payments out each hour? or you can earn bitcoins each hour of the day?

The latter. You can make a submission every hour to get some bitcoin.

From their title bar:

"Absolutely free Bitcoins every day hour!"

They probably still wait to send out payments once or so a day to save on transaction fees.

BitCrate: "Bitcoins! They're yours for the taking!"

BitCrate "And it's gone!" Just kidding, but they seem to go fast.

Coinbase seems to be a blockchain.info clone (or hybrid of Blockchain and BitInstant), so maybe they'll clone that feature too Smiley
Coinbase is a Flexcoin clone that doesn't have Flexcoin's interest.

Flexcoin offers interest?
466  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - Want SatoshiDICE dividends? IPO currently in progress. on: August 29, 2012, 12:27:01 AM
So what happened with this "IPO?" It looks like less than 20% of issued shares got sold, and it's already past the last offering date.

Was the IPO overpriced?

Probably. I've pulled my buy orders until GSDPT stabilizes at the 0.0025 mark. The MPEX risk is just too high for most potential shareholders.

IMO it is overpriced. Since this is Erik selling the shares he personally holds, he can value them at whatever he wishes.

I was thinking more bacteria than animal, and bacteria is just one step above virus.

Bacteria still has a negative connotation to it. Micro Organism sounds better IMO.

I don't understand what you mean by selling his debt.

I can understand how he could buy it at a discount, which would equate to a partial discount. But selling it? Selling what? Huh
For the last several months, Pirate has likely been buying up Pirate debt. Why not? It's free for him. If he buys 1,000 BTC worth of Pirate debt, those 1,000 BTC just get deposited with him.

Now, Pirate debt is selling for around 50 cents on the dollar. Pirate knows that he's never going to pay his debt back. So he knows the debt is worthless. But he can sell that 1,000 BTC that he effectively paid nothing for and get an extra 500 BTC.

It makes *no* sense for him to buy Pirate debt. It costs him money. How would he get that money back? From himself?

But if he sells Pirate debt, he gets more of other people's money. And it perfectly explains why Pirate bought himself a week or two. This gives him lots of time to make more money by selling worthless debt.

If he IS planning on paying back lenders, buying back pirate debt with sock accounts would make sense.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOW at the PAUL Festival in Tampa on: August 26, 2012, 09:18:09 PM
Hey Bitcoin is great but lets not forget the point here: Ron Paul.  Thanks to all bitcoiners down there at the rally for supporting Ron Paul and having a hope for the future of the USA!

I've never seen so many USans stand for a politician before.  Never seen tens of thousands turning out to see a politician, nor a polititician who continuously demonstrates a factor of 10 more interest than any others in polls, search trends, and turnout at rallys at speeches.  Take a look at all the professionally done animations and support videos for Ron Paul by citizens on their own dime.  There are several pretty decent rap songs about this guy.  Even video games.  I'm not old enough to remember JFK but I think this outpouring of support and love is the biggest seen by any politician perhaps in the history of the nation.

Has there ever been this kind of support from the populace for any DC politician?  How will these RP folks feel about paying taxes and supporting DC when Dr. Paul is gone?  What do people turn to when hope to save the system from the inside dies?

470  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Theory on what pirateat40 is doing on: August 26, 2012, 06:37:44 AM
so is it official yet? has anyone heard a peep from pirate since friday?

He's been in and out of IRC changing names between pirateat40 and steamship. It's bizarre really. When he's "steamship" he's been offering to buy pirate debt at reduced rates. No idea if he's serious.

That wasn't the real pirateat40. That pirateat40 (and steamship) did not have the OP prefix (@) in front of their nick. In addition, both @pirateat40 and pirateat40 were in the channel at the same time. It's likely he used an invisible character or typo to change his name to pirateat40. He was also clearly a troll. Can't believe everything you see, and then take it at face value.

Did you check the ident?
471  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] YABMC :: 55Gh Perpetual Mining Bond :: Coupons Now 2x per Week!! on: August 23, 2012, 09:47:52 PM
Nope - still 1 Mh/s  Grin

Why should investors care at all about growth (added hash rate)  if they do not profit from it?  If anything it makes their shares worth less when new hash rate (and therefore new shares) comes into play.

He's either 1. Making claims to troll or make his e-peen bigger. 2. Making claims to say that if there were hardware issues, he would still be able to pay due to other miners 3. He could either sell more bonds in the future or "upgrade" in the future.

Isn't that the whole entire point of Bitcoin: to give the power of finance back to the citizens, because the people at the top only THINK they know what they are doing, but still f*ck things up as badly as a regular Joe Shmoe would? (Like in 2008)
And what kind of fancy finance training do you need, exactly, just to auction off % shares of your company at market-determined rates? Just put it out there and let people pay what they think you are worth.

Well, I can appreciate that school of thought, it just doesn't convince me. Could be pure bias, obviously.

So you're essentially putting up a barrier of entry of 20 BTC to keep the "citizens" out? Forcing them to either pay you or use a broker/pass through if they wish to trade the assets on your exchange?

This reminds me of the attempts throughout history (lol internet history) to keep the noobs, trolls, and kids out of forums. When things don't go the way they wanted it to, the ones that would complain are going to do so even louder, because they paid someone for the opportunity. I'm not saying it doesn't work to some degree... It's just that it's been tried before.
473  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] CIUCIU.BOND 1.1% weekly guaranteed bond on: August 23, 2012, 09:33:23 PM
How many bonds have you sold so far? How many more are you looking to sell?

The fund is called CIUCIU INVESTMENTS but I don't see it listed anywhere what CIUCIU INVESTMENTS does or is (other than a .BOND). Is this essentially a personal loan, that you pay 1.1% weekly until you decide you are done/had enough? OR are the funds used to do something more specific? I'm not giving you a hard time because of what I think it is, just that it could use some clarification.

BTW do you have any ratings beyond this?
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Sponsoring the PAUL Festival Aug 24-26 and ON-STAGE with Tatiana Moroz! on: August 23, 2012, 02:21:19 AM
Will the fpga be there? I could pick it up no problem. Will there be wifi, or should I bring a paper wallet?

I have one FPGA single, but it is ours and we will be using it to demonstrate mining in the booth for 3 days.  So you can't buy this one!

Oh, and to think I was gonna get used one at a discount! Tongue

If I get one, I'll look around. Thanks anyways. Might still show.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Sponsoring the PAUL Festival Aug 24-26 and ON-STAGE with Tatiana Moroz! on: August 23, 2012, 02:05:20 AM
Nice! How much coin do I need to bring for the single FPGA? C'mon give me a hint?

The price with shipping is $633.  If bitcoins stay around $10 through the weekend, then 63-64 bitcoins should cover it!

477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pirate is going to build a Tesla Science Center! on: August 22, 2012, 08:51:02 PM
Tesla was the man! However, his system would have rendered radios unusable and there is no practical way to meter the energy broadcast.

You think that they would be unable to find a way to meter wireless energy consumption?

hahaha

But whats wrong with a DC Hydro hub on every city block... Huh?

Hey, at least you could dig a hole in your backyard without becoming an explosive electrical firework display.

BitCrate:
"We're not quite sure on this "captcha issue" if you see it, could you please send your ip and a screen-cap to admin@bitcrate.net? Thank you!"

Probably one of their ad-captchas acting up.

Beyond this FUD stuff, I've been quite please with the debates. Discussion of finance, values, prices, and business is a great endeavor carried out by noble people. If all the world's problems were settled with free-market equity debates, the world would be a wonderful place Smiley

Wonderful and entertaining are two separate things.
