61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin legalized in Uzbekistan and Iran on: September 13, 2018, 03:38:08 PM
It is old and fake news, shame for the writer to post it without checking it.
The source of this news is these two stories "Bitcoin Hits $24,000 In Iran after Government Okayed Mining"& "Uzbekistan opens the door to Cryptocurrency Exchanges, Offers Tax Benefits"
The first news was falsified because of the difference in the dollar exchange rate in Iran "just as in Venezuela." This difference in price has led to a rise in the price of Bitcoin. You can read more here[1].
The second is the approval to set up platforms to impose more taxes.

It was 20k$ a couple of days ago. Now its 24k.

To be clear, bitcoin hasn't be legalized in any of those countries right? Fucking everyone likes to spread fake news.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Matters on: September 12, 2018, 11:58:23 PM
Isn't it interesting that those who pontificate that "Money is not everything" usually have money?

Be broke for a few weeks unable to pay your bills, pay rent and afford basic necessities, and then let's see if you'd still hold the same position about money.

Let us be sincere and stop fooling around; MONEY IS SOMETHING! A very huge something!! At least in this present world. Might not be a big deal in another world. But in this world? Save me the sermon.

Without money in this world, rarely does anything get done. In fact, many things suffer needlessly without money. Even the Bible is flat-out frank enough to recognize the fact that money answers all things in the context of this present world. It doesn't say money is "the answer to all things" but it answers all things.

So please, before you sermonize me that money is not everything or that money is no big deal, credit my blockchain address with one thousand units of Bitcoin and forget about it. Then I'd believe you. In fact, I'd sing it along with you...money ain't nothing!
Obviously money matters. People do literally anything for it. Whilst I don't like to believe Money should matter for all scenarios, it does and I can't do shit about it. Money has only brought in a fucked up mindset, made things worse everywhere possible ;and has caused more and more division.

You don't understand the saying "money is not everything" very well. Your arguments are fine, but has no contrast with the saying.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Banned dude projects Bitcoin bounce maybe to $10k, then renewed decline to $4600 on: September 12, 2018, 11:51:20 PM
$4600 would prove wrong the theory that Bitcoin cannot go below $5500-ish, which is the guesstimated cost of mining one bitcoin that I've heard lately. So far it seems to be working. Every time it breaks below $6k it gets a huge buy that creates big candle of up to $400+.

This doesn't guarantee anything but it's another resistance to considering given past precedence.

As far as all altcoins going near zero... I am not sure the market as a whole is mature enough to realize how most altcoins are shitcoins and they just should be holding as much BTC as possible on their portfolios. So when the next hype for crypto comes, I still expect another altcoin bubble.
Aren't all theories put in a false hope? Literally people are making up excuses and reasons to dump crypto.

Why does it suddenly feel like crypto is all of a sudden just become dead? Is it only me?

Support is doing good at trying to help bitcoin be a little stable, but won't last for long, people are panicking too much, after all 9 months of continuous bear season doesn't give out a great feeling to anybody. So 4600$ is possible, but unlikely.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: China blocking 120+ offshore cryptocurrency exchanges as "crackdown" escalates on: September 12, 2018, 11:45:56 PM
Perhaps we're witnessing the birth of a new era where bitcoin has become decentralized enough that china no longer has much effect upon its value.
Lol. That era will never exist. Never has, never will. China still has a huge number of people who use crypto. They still have mining farms? I am not so sure, but electricity is the same, but the labour might not be because of the movement of factories bullshit.

So is the government cracking down on Chinese exchanges as well?  That would definitely suck for them, and I can't imagine that would be a good thing for bitcoin as a whole, given how many Chinese bitcoiners there are.  The ICO part of that I can understand, since even the US has banned participation in those for its citizens.  Most are scams anyway.
They were trying that even before they banned ICOs. Even if they block all these, there's still gonna be P2P trading,so nice try China lol.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Psychological fear dominates the market on: September 12, 2018, 11:36:54 PM
The continuous decline in Bitcoin prices may make investors very nervous and many people have lost confidence in Bitcoin as well as crypto.
This is a very normal psychology and nothing strange in life, in any field, there are two emotional state is governed by FEAR and GREED.
Especially in the financial market, not just the crypto market, when prices are rising, people often feel GREED, focusing only on positive trends and never thinking about trends. Negative, when the price goes down, then the person feels FEAR, then focus only on the negative trend and never thought that everything would be positive again.
Talk about this for people to imagine that believing in a current trend is only relative and timed, so look at the market trend with an objective eye (out-of-game) so that If not, then it will not be absorbed in the psychological game of the market. Finance is a game of psychology!
What do you think about this?
No. Don't be lame. Idiots dominate the market. If people have issues with being greedy and fearful, then they shouldn't be into it. Psychological is just a fancy word to describe what idiots do. They panic, they fuck up,they end up helping others in dumping. And you're saying a lot of bullshit. Cut that shit. Too boring.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin ready to pump (september 2018)? on: September 12, 2018, 11:22:31 PM
Is Bitcoin ready to pump?
After a long wait, everyone wonders when Bitcoin will make a big pump. Many altcoins depend on Bitcoin and so it has some effect on them. So my question is: do you think Bitcoin is about to go up or should we expect a big drop?
Man pump isn't gonna happen, even if it does, its gonna be a big fail, at the moment. We are in a bearish season right now, and a "pump" in the middle will only make people dump more harder. Here's how it works: A pump is attempted to increase price from like 6.5k to 7.5k, the price increases to like 7k, people will prefer that price to 6.5k,they'll sell their bitcoin. Now, the pumpers will be running out of money to keep the supprot going on,and to continue the price to 7.5k will only become more harder. And since bitcoin will have more market supply at that time, people will sell for lesser than 7k, so the "pump" would only end in a misery, unless its backed by a lot of funds. Or in some cases, market doesn't react well, and "pump" becomes successful, but that almost never happens.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: From 150 - To 15 000 $ - ETH (speculation) on: September 12, 2018, 11:16:19 PM
eth is TOP 2 coin, and have a lot of supporters, ETH + erc20 tokens, when market will recover - i think eth price to grow ep fast,
It doesn't work like that, most of the times. ERC20 tokens are shit. Most of them are. ETH doesn't have a lot of supporters, people don't want ETH to fall because if that keeps happening, their bounty hunting days are over. And people won't be able to profit as well, because most tokens are exchanged for ETH, and if ETH falls, they are only going to be in a bigger loss. They don't in the slightest actually give a fuck about ETH.

15,000$ is too overrated for ETH imo,and not going to see that happening in the next few years. But keep dreaming high, I see more stupid things happening anyway.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think ETH will be bounce back? on: September 12, 2018, 10:47:17 PM
Hello. Do you think they have chance to bounce back again ETH this year or not? Poll and thoughts now.
Bouncing back to like 400$ shouldn't be a miracle to cross through. However, there's nothing really great going for the price to go back right up. This year has been a sucky one. Really bad. So don't expect any big price changes, it can happen, but doesn't seem like it. So probably no, ETH won't bounce back. Also what I think isn't gonna change anything.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Australia's new "Assistance and Access" (Illegalizing Encryption) on: September 12, 2018, 10:18:11 PM
I hope when a country does inevitably pass a law like this, it bites them in the ass.  They won't get it right.  Let them find out the hard way that banning encryption has repercussions they haven't even envisioned yet.  They're basically just going to force the criminals to up their game and drive criminal behaviour even deeper underground where it's harder to trace than it already is.  You can't realistically ban an entire branch of mathematics, which is what encryption effectively boils down to.  It's just numbers.

As for what it means for BTC, I'm assuming (and hoping) not much.  The protocol certainly won't change because of it.  It would probably make exchanges even weaker than they currently are in terms of security, but at this point most exchanges are so bad that it won't even be that noticeable anyway.  If you do have to use exchanges, just ensure you use one based in a region that doesn't have this law.
Countries are being soooo try-hard right now. We have countries trying to introduce crypto central banks, whilst they have banned bitcoin in their country(smart af).

Banning encryption is lame, at the very least. Its unnecessary too. So what would happen to companies that use encryption? What would happen to governments encrypting their data? I am not gonna read a single article about this, because this is lame. Too lame.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: September 12, 2018, 09:55:25 PM
If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin?
I personally think that people will take their money out and will invest it somewhere else.

Do you think that bitcoin will be a good alternative?
Yeah well, bitcoin is not stock. Bitcoin is not an investment/asset. Even though stock has nothing to do with bitcoin, fuckers will still try to relate bitcoin to stock, and will dump it,if stock rises,or if stock falls. Basically, idiocy is what is influencing the price. I don't know how good bitcoin is,when it comes to alternatives to stock, but if it is an alternative, I am going to yell and cry.

Man the whole fucking world is collapsing, and of course people have to figure out which is the best investment, is it their pathetic lives or stock or bitcoin?
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Surges From $6,190 to $6,450 in Seconds, What’s Next For BTC? on: September 12, 2018, 09:22:48 PM
What's next for bitcoin?I would say nothing important. Why do you bother positng thereads here about a 4% bitcoin price increase.Bitcoin price goes up and down +/- 5% almost every day.The opinion of Eric Voorhees is pretty much similar to every crypto expert's opinion. The big price drops are over.

You should visit the speculation section so, they create a thread each time the Bitcoin price increases by $10.
Others than the panic sellers and newbies, who care when a 5% change occurs? You go to the toilets and the 5% is gone like it never happened. But we've seen much worse than 5% a hundred times
This place has become a joke now. In fact, the whole crypto community is. Whatever name crypto had built for itself in 2017,idiots are trying their best to smear it. The stupidity of people goes beyond explanation.

Whatever is next for bitcoin,I can give you hint: its going to affect the price, even if it is not related at all to bitcoin. You know the answer, come on.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance record on: September 12, 2018, 09:04:08 PM
Bitcoin was once dominant in the crypto market being pioneer of crypto currencies. Then it started to lose its dominance gradually due to the entrance of hundreds of new coins.

Bitcoin's dominance was at its lowest at 36.1 percent.

But now, once again bitcoin's market share has reached high  to 57.09 percent which shows that people have lost faith in most of the shit coins and find only bitcoin to be the safe haven.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/9f0bed/new_btc_dominance_record_since_13_dec_2017/
Dominance doesn't matter. Its just a useless stat. Just as useless as diet water:

This is a false dichotomy. I completely believe in Bitcoin's ability to change the global monetary system, and I also completely believe that 99.9% of altcoins are complete trash. People are starting to wake up to the fact that most altcoins are just empty promises, with no working product and no future.
People are still stupid. Don't worry, once they see ICOs offering 300% annual returns, they'll be back on track.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Breaking: Winklevoss’ Gemini Launches U.S. Dollar-Pegged Cryptocurrency on: September 11, 2018, 08:28:31 PM
Seeing these attempts @ creating a "stable coin" makes me think maybe I should create a crypto currency of my own.   Cheesy

If what Voltaire said is true and "fiat money always returns to its intrinsic value of zero" then why would anyone ever want their currency pegged to fiat which history may dictate is destined to crash, eventually?

All around the world nations like india, venezuela, argentina and turkey are struggling with severe economic issues due to the ambiguity and unreliability of fiat money. The year is 2018. With our technology and science should we not be able to do better than this?. I would like to believe that we can have a brighter future without being doomed to repeat mistakes of the past for all eternity. But maybe I'm only kidding myself and we're all screwed.
Fuck yeah, we're screwed.

Well, here's the thing, people are stupid as fuck. Why would any economy start a crypto central bank, especially when they are battling recession, corruption, economic instability. People don't even know what crypto is,and not every family owns a computer. Not a great idea,FYI. Countries have become so desperate, they are doing anything just to survive.

A US dollar pegged trusted crypto-currency that is regulated. I see so much irony in that one sentence. Crypto exists due to people wanting to avoid the likes of regulation, USD and "trusted" bullshit. Now,we have to put up GUSD along with Tether and True USD. Like what the fuck?
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Creator Believes Days of 1000x Crypto Growth is Gone on: September 11, 2018, 07:34:24 PM
According to Vitalik Buterin, the co-creator of Ethereum, the days of 1000x growth as seen in 2017 in the cryptocurrency sector is gone.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Buterin emphasized that the awareness of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology has already achieved its high point in Dec. 2017, when the price of major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Bitcoin Cash demonstrated 10 to 300-fold returns
https://www.ccn.com/why-ethereum-co-creator-believes-days-of-1000x-crypto-growth-is-gone/

Do you think ICO companies are the ones killing the ETH market, due to the rate they dumped the ETH they collect from their sales?
Its a fucking currency, not an asset. What part of it is so difficult to understand? Whatever Vitalik believes in is not equivalent to the reality. So stop trying to fuck people's minds even more by bringing them light to more nonsense that could only lead to more crashes and dumps, all because of the fact that people are fucking stupid, and they don't understand circumstances and they only know how to act irrational in any given circumstance.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC rates in Iran is so high on: September 11, 2018, 02:42:14 PM
Seriously? This is a huge price compare on the ordinary market. Well, I'll make time to research more about this if so I can confirm on my own if its true or not. Free electricity means unlimited mining, that's crazy, anyway congrats to all Iranians because they can now invest in this good technology and I hope every country will do the same thing.
Whatever I said was based on a quick google search. Free electricity was available, at one point, not anymore. I read a user saying that electricity is basically free: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4857518.msg43795478#msg43795478

And also, Iran is a fucked up country to invest in technology at the moment, they are struggling to survive. So don't expect that to happen.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC rates in Iran is so high on: September 10, 2018, 09:49:31 PM
Perhaps you might be one of the victims of a fake news spreading from a website that didn't took the time to validate and check sources. Doing a quick search, the rate of 1 bitcoin on Iran is 110,000,000 rial at its peak, or if converted to USD, about $2400 more or less which is very far from the reported value. Also do keep in mind that the Iranian rial is falling hard against the dollar as we speak, so any recorded value on Exir's website might have been affected by the rapid change of valuation of the Iranian rial against the dollar.
Along with that, there was free electricity in Iran,at one point, so people were mining like hell. Now too, the electricity is very cheap there. That plays a big role I assume.

The price per btc is around 850,000,000 Rial,in Local bitcoins: https://localbitcoins.com/country/IR, and its fucking crazy, cause its worth like 20,000$. We are having Zimbabwe bitcoin version 2.0 here.

More than 75% of bitcoiners is taking this like a bubble,

and how did you come up with that number? just guessed a random one Cheesy

Quote
I am seeing many people getting worry because of Bitcoin is going down its price,
i had to double check my eyes to make sure you posted this TODAY!
these days those type of people who worry about a price drop are no longer with us. the "weak hands" have been flushed out of the market, at least most of them anyways. not to mention that price has not been going down for a couple of months now. so i don't know where you are looking to "see" many people worried!

the only thing that there is right now, is people getting uneasy about why bitcoin is not shooting up like they think it is supposed to. and also another fear of ETF but that fear has been shrinking each time SEC rejected a new one in the past couple of months.
Didn't you hear? People are apparently now excited because Trump administration appointed a "crypto-pro judge" in the SEC for the coinbase ETF approval.

The idiots aren't really there in the market because they don't know what to do. Its just the people who understand crypto and whales that are involved in this mess.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin could be use as unified currency for all fiat money around the world? on: September 07, 2018, 12:45:21 AM
As we all know that bitcoin now are being made as a trading pairs to different fiat money all over the world. And we you go round the world having a good vacation on different countries you do not need to bring more fiat or physical money instead bringing gadgets and connecting to internet is enough to get fiat money after it will be traded to local exchange. In this way there is no need for one to bring more physical money as bitcoin could unify all fiat money around the world as trading pairs.
Um..sure that could happen, but for that people should adopt bitcoin. I would like to spend my bitcoin, but not by carrying my hardware or my pc, but by using my phone. But here's the thing, I could get easily hacked, like its not worth to be honest, there are more negatives than positives which is a big bummer. I do use my bitcoin for buying various things, when I can, but I would refrain from using my bitcoin on vacations, its not required. I can just fiat, and not have any issues, you know?

Yeah that's what is happening on this forum, and some are getting similar emails, read the OP.

By the way, those accounts who are posting phising links are getting nuked almost instantaneously.
