324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook reverse crypto advertisement ban on: June 29, 2018, 11:54:46 PM
Facebook announced today that they will reverse crypto ads ban. Surprisingly, the market is still falling. Seems very irrational. Any thougths?
Facebook unbanning ads has nothing to do with the price. People don't care now who bans what. There is bigger fish to fry in the market. I don't know why facebook decided to unban it though. Will twitter too will start unbanning crypto ads? You never know...
Again, bitcoin/ crypto's prices are determined by the market demand and supply. You people need to go to school for once.
325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips to survived the difficulties on market downfall on: June 29, 2018, 11:42:32 PM
1. Do not panic when market value is decreasing

2. Do not even think of selling you bitcoin or ethereum

3. Do not think about it to much, why? because it will rise like before it got really high and for that a man got a car ,a luxury to point that out. So maybe like him you will get rich BUT in a long term situation

Edit: additional. So, I suggest you go and hold next thing you know your might get rich

FOR INVESTING OR TRADING:

4. DO not invest really high that you can lose (DON'T INVEST WHAT YOU MAY LOSE)

5. study the past history of market value ( when holding or investing and even trading)
1. Not only panic, but never sell at a loss.
2. They can sell, when required.
3. Humans tend to think a lot and nothing can stop them. Just advice them and tell them not to be stupid.
4. Because of that, they borrow loans to invest.
5. Tell them to learn basic economics first, market demand and supply.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am going to invest 10BTC to different altcoins on: June 29, 2018, 11:24:38 PM
After the heavy downfall of cryptocurrencies, I am planning to make use of this cheaper prices. Where I can invest to get at least 5 times returns in next 2 to 3 years.

I am planning to invest with minimum 10 different projects but definitely not with ETH or BCH kind of big boys.  I like to hear your suggestions. If you find time for me, kindly include following details so that  can check and conclude quickly.
I like what you're doing, but are you sure you want to spend 10 bitcoins on altcoins? And do you have financial backup for this, because 10 bitcoins are worth 62,000$. So be careful with what you're doing. I am not going to fill the form but I would suggest you to buy Monero, EOS, IOST, Litecoin, NEO just to be on the safe side, as these are reputable altcoins. Cheesy
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: big altcoins losses (BTG 92% Down) on: June 29, 2018, 10:45:14 PM
Bitcoin gold is 92% down since dezember its speeds up its halfing much faster than bitcoin,

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/

But with bitcoin gold declinging why shouldnt bitcoin decline?

bitcoin gold grew and rose with bitcoin, and now it falls with bitcoin

regards
BTG's price is not determined by bitcoin. Its determined by demand and supply. However the price of bitcoin influences other alts. Bitcoin is not responsible for alts to crash. If people try to dump bitcoin, they would also have to dump alts, so that those who try to influence the markets succeed in what they are doing. BTG is not a big altcoin, yet. Its just a third wheel type of crypto. People were forced to trade with it, in the beginning and now they just don't care.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: vitalik in conflict with craig wright and vechain over patent on: June 29, 2018, 08:24:49 PM
seems craig wright and vechain wanted to use a legal system to basically illegalise usage of wheels, in the european union and usa

vitalik is in conflict with them

https://coingape.com/vitalik-challenges-nchains-new-patent-threatens-legal-battle/?utm_source=notification&utm_medium=push-notification

what do you guys think about patents in cryptocurrencies.

regards
Usually patents are a pain in the ass, and people don't like it. The patent owners misuse their power to just sue the other party and drain their resources. Patents and crypto don't go hand in hand, at least for me. And patent lawsuits are boring as fuck. But looking at the article, it is just a tweet. No lawsuits have been filed, yet. Its the usual that is happening here, people want to go after each other in search of name, fame and money. That is always the case here.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto currency ban in india on: June 29, 2018, 12:00:52 AM
How's the hearing goes by the ban?

This is what I've researched - Cryptocurrency exchanges in India brace themselves for RBI ban

So in case that the ban is real, I guess exchanges will give you directions on how you can cashout your crypto's into fiat.

But if there's a total shutdown and everyone's forbidden to withdraw, buy and sell crypto's, your option is to move to your nearby countries where crypto's aren't ban.
Crypto is NOT BANNED IN INDIA. I read about it and apparently what has happened is, India's regulatory bank RBI has issued a statement that banks can no longer be in touch with crypto exchanges and also exchanges can't deposit or withdraw any fiat from banks after a specific date(I don't know what has happened recently but this was the case a few days/weeks ago). Normal people don't have anything to do with it. Just buy/sell your bitcoins at localbitcoins.com
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum Classic Reach $100 - $200 at the end of the year? on: June 28, 2018, 11:37:21 PM
Only few chances are their.Because it had only few investors, most of them are new investors. So if minor fluctuations occur, the investors will sell their coins and price will reduced automatically.Atleast the price will reach 70-100$.In altcoin, it's very hard to reach this value in very short period.
You do know that they are actually not new investors? Most of the times, it is the same person who is sending his coins/tokens to and from various addresses. Just so that the price goes up. You can't just say the price would go to 70-100$. There should be really thinking, and thought analyzing. Chances are, the price would go up, because no one ever thought gas would go to around 90-100$ when the bullish season was on. So same goes for ETC, if we have a good enough bullish trend, the prices can go up real nice, but if we just fluctuate around the same price, then no, the price won't go to that big of an amount.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legal guns to protect from government = bitcoin to protect from banks? on: June 28, 2018, 11:29:47 PM
In US guns where legalized for the primary purpose of people protect against oppressive governments. Brilliant idea.

Is Bitcoin the same thing against FIAT? No doubt FIAT is oppressive (just read some basic economics).
LOL. Guns to protect against oppressive governments. People have to protect themselves when real tragic situations show up, like the gun shots in the various schools, where were the guns then? And sure Donald Trump became president just like that. No Russians involved.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin was never intended to go against fiat, it was intended to be a payment system that is decentralized and has P2P protocol. And comparing bitcoin to fiat, is just not fair. Bitcoin, is here to protect people yes. Does this mean banks are bad? No, but in my case: Yes. But do you ever see local citizens(not mobs/gangsters/terrorists) using guns to protect themselves from the government? Same might go for bitcoin, people don't care about bitcoin. They only care about money. So long as they get profits, they would keep using. Ultimately everyone uses bitcoin to convert it to fiat.
332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prices are controlled. Accidentally or intentionally? on: June 28, 2018, 10:51:06 PM
When the market falls long term. The market has few new investors, the old investors are no as interested as before. Volume is very low. That makes the profit from exchange are reduced ( Huge whales are big exchages )
To compensate for the declining profit. The whales and the exchanges are linked together to control the margin. Currently, Margin has a large volume (Bitmex no.1 volume). That's why most of the time the bitcoin chart are U-shaped
Don't jump to the conclusion that old investors aren't as interested as before, if that had been the case, the stock market would have disappeared in 1929, thanks to The Great Depression. Bitcoin prices are determined by the market demand and supply. But for causing false demand and supply, one person places just buys and sells his bitcoin for the same price to make it look like more funds are entering the market when in reality it is not. This is intentional. But when traders try to sell their coins at a profit, they just place different orders at different prices and seeing to that, the demand and supply is somehow influenced to cause the prices to change. This is sort of accidental. There are more cases to these, but you can never properly known if the prices are controlled or not. Another case that comes to my mind is that, when Jamie Dimon spread the fake news about bitcoin back in September, just so that he could buy a lot of bitcoins, you see the intention.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sonm (SNM) price speculation in light of mainnet launch (30th June) on: June 28, 2018, 10:17:14 PM
are there any examples of ICO's recently that have gone into their commercial launch and have seen a good price rally?

What can we expect from SONM? I am quite impressed by what they trying to achieve, and it seems logical that there is a big market for this given the success of amazon AWS and similar cloud services.
Good price rally? lol. Are you living under a rock? The markets are in horrible state now. They get dumped by like 20%-40% atleast and then get pumped by 10%. SONM looks to be cool from outside, maybe it has potential. The price can go up maybe, when the time comes. Right now, the possibility is less, but what are the chances.... Roll Eyes Amazon and other cloud services succeeded because of their reputation they had previously made. For, SONM that doesn't seem to be the case.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This dip is great! on: June 27, 2018, 11:52:05 PM
While every one is in a panic, remember this is the best time to get some bargains, we're down under 300 billion total cap which opens things up again.

I've just reinvested in to PRL again at 2910 SAT, insane value.

What's every one else buying? suggest your best buys.
I love your enthusiasm but it all bummed me down when you started talking about PRL. I don't even know what that is. There are better altcoins than investing in this one. The dip is better than ever, but I am laying my hands off if I am buying with bitcoins,I don't have a problem spending fiat for alts but am reconsidering that too. My gut says that the markets would crash more, god forbid Cry. And my gut is right most of the times.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The first earth-friendly and healthy way in mining cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2018, 11:38:14 PM
By the way, there's also another way to keep fit while mining crypto - a mat to mine cryptocurrency by dancing. Unfortunately, these are the only 2 projects I've heard about where you can earn tokens doing sports. What about other eco-friendly mining solutions, there're already a lot of such ideas or projects (at least, under development).
Wow. Mine by dancing and cycling. Work out hype much?
I would buy that bicycle had it been cheap but 2,250$, hell no. That is ridiculously expensive and crazy. 1000 miles is too much and not to forget the electricity it would consume, all this for 26.5$ is not worth it. Better just pay 40$ for a monthly gym and workout. Cheesy
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The largest bank in Norway announced cooperation with IOTA ... on: June 27, 2018, 10:59:03 PM
But isn't IOTA supposed to be the backbone of the Internet of Things?
What practical use can a bank have with IOT?
Isn't IOTA supposed to forgo the necessity of centralized systems (which big banks represent) and fascilitate smooth transaction on the hyperconnectivity of our world?
Do you really think all ICOs raise money to do what they told others in order to get money? NO.
Read this:
Quote
DNB ASA (Den Norske Bank), Norway’s largest financial services group, and the IOTA Foundation (IOTA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), according to a press release May 31. DNB and IOTA will now reportedly cooperate to explore applications of the IOTA Tangle, a “third-generation” distributed ledger (DLT).

According to the press release, the two parties will work together to find new business models across their respective industries. Lasse Meholm, Head of DLT at DNB, said that one goal of the project is better understand the technology and to let those at the bank who work with clients find opportunities for new use cases.

I haven't liked IOTA till now to be honest but will see what their actual potential is.
337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your recommended crypto allocation? on: June 27, 2018, 10:37:45 PM
Hi all,
the recent bloodbath pushed me to start investing in the crypto market. My current position is approx. 33% BTC/ETH/EOS. What would be your recommendation for a balanced crypto portfolio for the next 6-12 months?
Thanks!
That is it? Only 3 altcoins? Oh come on, you can do better. Monero, litecoin, ripple and a few other top tier altcoins are dirt cheap at the moment. If the price go back to their last ATH, then you can even be a millionaire, depending upon how much you invest. I don't make specific allocations, I keep a limit per coin rather. Like investing 0.05 BTC for one alt and 0.1BTC for another. Allocation, I don't care much. Just go with the wind. If you don't keep your portfolio diversely, get ready to get fucked up in the behind.
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Types of Cryptocurrency Traders that are Kicking Your Ass on: June 26, 2018, 11:50:44 PM
1:Insider Traders:It has been defined as “any securities transaction made when the person behind the trade is aware of nonpublic material information

2:WHALES:A whale is simply a colloquial way to describe an investor who is able to manipulate markets by mobilizing large amounts of capital.

3:Spoofing:Another common strategy whales use to manipulate the market is called spoofing.

4:Pump & Dump Group Executives

Sooooooo: TRADE WITH CAUTION
Usually most of the whales are the ones who are involved in Pump and Dump activities. They claim to be whales from the outside and do Pump and Dump activities.
I haven't thought of insider trading being a major influence in crypto, but when I think about it, it is majorly possible. God, I feel stupid, and realize how shitty ICOs got to the top. bitconnect Roll Eyes

Trading with caution has nothing to do with this. People should be smart and aware of what they are doing.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you invest in an ICO? on: June 26, 2018, 11:45:58 PM
Edit: many of the answers were, whether one should invest in an ICO at all. My question was intended to understand more specifically what's the average person place nowadays in an ICO, IF they participate. I am interested in data, about a typical average ICO investment, not whether anyone should or shouldn't invest in an ICO.
It actually depends on the type of ICO one invests in. For example, people are more likely to invest more in the telegram ICO than investing in a totally new business which came uo with an ICO, with no reputation at all. On an average, the minimum is like 1,000$ and people extend till like 10,000$. I am talking about the normal people here, not the rich af traders.
340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin miner stoped distribute bitcoin on: June 26, 2018, 11:27:48 PM
what if all miner bitcoin stops working does not generate or distributes bitcoin for one day if it could affect bitcoin price?
That would be possible under a permissioned blockchain. But in a public blockchain, it is almost impossible. It can happen but mostly it won't. If miners stop mining for one day, the price would plummet to the ground. But thankfully bitcoin is decentralized, no one would have to witness such a situation. Just think about it, and you'll know why.
