381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin too volatile for payment, but what is the problem ? on: May 18, 2018, 11:54:14 PM
I read some criticism around Bitcoin, because is too volatile, but this is the reason for the success of this crypto ( and others), imo
These are the two ways one can look at crypto. People believe in what they see. Its either too volatile or it's too good. Crypto is the mix of fiat and stock. One can use it as a means of investment or as a means of everyday use.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency on: May 18, 2018, 11:50:52 PM
How many years Bitcoin will need to become No.1 ?
You don't need bitcoin it be No. 1
It is good as is. For it to be number one it has to be stable enough so that merchants and all those who don't use bitcoin can use it. Also, bitcoin's supply is way too low for it to be number one.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin did hit $1m by mid-2020? on: May 18, 2018, 11:40:56 PM
I'm not yet sure to what extent, but I have always believed that the current large crypto holders will eventually become part of the wealthy elite. We already have quite some crypto billionaires already.

Think about Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Vitalik Butterin, Coinbase CEO, Binance CEO, Mark Karpeles (obviously through theft), Winklevoss twins, Ripple gang, and the list goes on. It's an interesting group of people for sure.

I'm sure there are even some publicly unknown crypto billionaires in the background. I'm happy that we have pushed it this far. I remember the days as yesterday where Bitcoin's market cap was less than $1 billion.
I almost cried reading this. Nostalgic memories..... Have heard of teenagers becoming millionaires and even billionaires, because they bought bitcoin at the early stages.
But for bitcoin to hit a million dollars in less than two years is just way too much to ask. It is almost impossible for it to happen but it would be a welcome change if that ever happens.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zimbabwe Bans All Cryptocurrency Activity on: May 18, 2018, 11:34:52 PM
Yes, you are right. People are always able to buy and sell bitcoin. They can trade it peer to peer. But some governments are trying to make it difficult for the people specially when they want to convert bitcoin to their national money or their national money to bitcoin.
Any way, governments cannot stop people completely.
Governments can't do anything if the exchange has been made in the form of p2p. You don't convert your bitcoin to fiat, you exchange them. It would be hard to figure out how the exchanges happened for a normal bank. Only thing is that banks can't deal with those who offer crypto services.
385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price To $36K in 2019 - Expert Research on: May 13, 2018, 11:13:50 PM
People say a lot of shit. Inconsiderate of how expertise of a research it is. McAfee said that bitcoin will reach 78k $ by 2018. Yeah right. Look, people believe in what they have to believe. This is why people like McAfee and this expert research dude take advantage and say shit. You always have to do your own research. And you have to be smart. If you're a dum - dum, then you suck.
386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Japan will decide BTC Price Monday Asia time Zone on: May 13, 2018, 11:10:28 PM
This thread is bull shit. OP is probably drunk or high and saying random shit.
And FYI technical analysis doesn't always yields the right results.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zimbabwe Bans All Cryptocurrency Activity on: May 13, 2018, 11:03:39 PM
this is not a citizen /private business ban.. calm down
People don't understand the meaning of ban here. You can buy and sell cryptocurrencies, via P2P exchange. You can trade them, hodl them and do anything under legal jurisdictions. If banks continue to deal with crypto related businesses, they would have to face consequences. And crypto business cannot function in that country anymore. That's what ban means.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized Crypto Lending for Interest on: May 13, 2018, 10:57:55 PM
Are you looking for something like this : https://lendoit.com/
Now I don't know how legit this is, do your own due diligence and then do anything stupid or smart. There are a couple more sites too. Just Google what you have asked.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: 7 REASONS WHY: which one are you? on: May 13, 2018, 10:55:11 PM
One thing that is missing in the OP is that, there is no mention of it belonging it to the asset class, no mention of it being volatile, it having a huge market. That is one of the reasons why I still use crypto. I guess the other reasons that you mentioned also play along. You can't just brief out crypto in just 7 points, there is so much stuff to mention about.
390  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Reiterates That Bitcoin with get to $1 million MINIMUM by 2020 on: May 13, 2018, 10:39:36 PM
This has been discussed back and forward for more than a while now and it is getting boring now. Even the thought of McAfee being able to chop his dick off or eat it or whatever.
McAfee is a loser. He did what I expected him to do.
In an interview he was asked about his prediction (which was that Bitcoin in 2018 would reach $78,000) and he denied having said that. In the video they show footage of him clearly stating him having made that prediction. The same will happen with his current prediction. For anyone willing to see the whole interview (60 minute duration) here is the link; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBgFGwJA1D0

These people don't do anything for Bitcoin. He's nothing more than a vampire trying to suck as much money out of this market as possible. Seriously, what billionaire will get involved in promoting shitty altcoins? It's just the money he's after, and that clearly shows.
Worst part is that he gets paid a shit load of money just to mention the name of altcoins in his tweets and stuff. A shit load I repeat.
For obvious reasons, McAfee is doing this for popularity and all that crap, and there is no one to stop him. Even Roger Ver is better than him.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life event why Bitcoin/Litecoin is needed urgently on: May 13, 2018, 10:34:07 PM
is l
The very first thing i did walk into the branch and then was told that they cant help as it was done online and not at the teller i would need to phone head office.
Sue easy said than done if on the other side of globe first you need to find someone to represent you then up front pay....
In some countries you can represent yourself as your own lawyer.

Whatever the teller told you, it is shit. That's ridiculous. This is not 1860s we are living in. Technology has been updated for a reason. The teller definitely would have access to the details, I know how a bank works, in and out. That head office thing is crap, trust me.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy 1 ounce Silver. End the Fed on: May 13, 2018, 07:59:21 PM
In 2012, there were lots of internet talks "Buy 1 ounce silver. End the Fed" then Silver fell to $9/ounce

Bitcoin has the same story with all the anti-government and anonymous talks.   Grin
Not exactly. These two have totally different background. Why do you have to compare two totally different things with totally different nature? Bitcoin is volatile. Silver is not.
Well, you just valued the crypto you sold in terms of fiat--just like everyone does, and for good reason.  If not many merchants accept bitcoin, and the ones that do price everything in terms of fiat, there's no real way 1BTC has any meaning by itself.
Only this forum values 1BTC for 1BTC. Everyone else, values it in fiat.
I don't think metals are a great investment, even though they've been beaten down to the point where you might think they're cheap enough to buy.  But hey, I hope you make money and I do see the appeal of owning some nice coins or bullion.  Having something physical representing wealth has an allure to it that is absent with bitcoin.
Alternative: Buy physical bitcoins made out of metals Cheesy
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life event why Bitcoin/Litecoin is needed urgently on: May 13, 2018, 07:32:43 PM
No i ordered a product and the second of the three payments made so for is lost by banks. The third payment is taxes and import duties plus container deposit. The first i ordered one unit and company stuffed up and sent 5.
  • I have letter from bank with confirmation of electronic transfer on 6th April
  • When i log into online banking i can see money deducted on 6th April and still missing
  • When i phone bank and inquire about it i am told a message has been sent to receiving bank and the await reply and several times confirmed verbally on the phone that money is with receiving bank.
Alright what lame ass "company" forces its buyer to buy a minimum of 5 units? You should sue them, they are the ones who have cost you the problem. Was such a thing like,:
A minimum of 5 units should be purchased. mentioned in the terms? If no,sue them, fucking sue them. And seriously how in the fucking world did the bank lose money Huh Are you kidding me? And they ask people to trust them with billions and billions of dollars/any other currency. Go to your bank personally and create a ruckus(say some honest shit about their bank), they will listen to you. I have seen it happening, and it will work again.
394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning Crypto trading as a beginner on: May 13, 2018, 07:21:47 PM
So many persons learn Crypto trading through the hard way, with no guidance from any angle and I happen to be among these categories of persons... And one thing I understand is that, those that learn through hard ways always do best!
Who said that people learn trading through a hard way? Trading is hard, make no mistake, but learning how to trade is comparatively easy. The protocol here is that people might not always profit(be it for any type of investment).
But the truth is that Crypto trading is very easy compared to forex/stock-market.
You can learn Crypto trading on your own without any help from anyone, but you can't do this with forex/stock-market.
Lies. Stock trading is almost just the same as crypto, but with forced regulation and with the involvement of brokers. Don't confuse/mislead people. As it is,they are already way too dumb.

Any trader, should have his own rules/policies and strategies. Its up to that very trader, that me makes the wise decision even in unfortunate circumstances. The trader must know his shit.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China and Bitcoin taking vows again? on: May 13, 2018, 07:16:19 PM
Its just a wallet. China has NO ROLE in this. Don't mislead users to something that is not exactly true. China has not entered the markets, this is mere FUD. China has nothing to do with this,as Hauwei were on its own,by just pre-installing a software on their phones. China has still imposed regulations and has still banned crypto.
396  Economy / Economics / Re: A coin issued by some country government - would you go for it? on: May 12, 2018, 11:49:49 PM
Imagine that some respectable country would go far beyond legalizing cryptocurrency and start one of its own. It would surely be no scam and it would probably have a strong support, but would there be any drawbacks to the currency and the state itself? Would it get more attention than some of the biggest coins now?
If it United fucking States of America, then no. Other countries? Maybe. But probably I wouldn't care. It's crypto, do you know what that means? It can be used globally by anyone, anywhere. No one can stop that. And FYI, there is no respectable country. All of them are shit filled countries. And it won't get more attention, don't you worry.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Big FUD attack by Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Charlie Munger on: May 12, 2018, 11:46:43 PM
Yeah man, Bitcoin IS working. The financial news sites were joking about bitcoin a year ago, now they provide daily or weekly updates on it's price moves. That's an incredible shift in respect.
Yeah no. It is not respect. It is what people want. And media takes the side of the people, even though they do all that manipulation shit.
This is a good indicator to start looking for an entry point if you haven't already. Noobs will get shaken out of the market with fake news like these, and smart money will jump in when the opportunity is right (that's once all the noobs have sold and there's only hodlers).
That is so stupid. What makes you think that there are only "hodlers" and noobs? For all you know it is the same person who is buying and selling the same amount of bitcoin through different addresses. There are infinite number of possibilities of what can happen to the price and how can it happen.

Whatever these rich people are saying, they are saying it out of spite, they are saying only what they know about which is not very much. They haven't done a very good research personally on that. That's why the FUD.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American Job-Matching Site Job.Com Using Blockchain Technology to Provide Jobs on: May 12, 2018, 11:40:37 PM
I doubt that would help people get more jobs. Blockchain is useful in most cases but maybe not in this case. There has to be manual evaluation, aka an interview of people and stuff like that. And I didn't read the article you have linked down.  Embarrassed But stance on this remains, using blockchain for literally everything may not be the right thing, at least in the bigger picture.
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs Berkshire who has more gains? on: May 12, 2018, 10:57:20 PM
BRK.A in the last 5 years booked a gain of roughly 75%, which I honestly don't see much growth in from this point. At current stage it's very unlikely for their stock to repeat another 75% in the coming 5 years, and that while Bitcoin should be capable of yielding a minimum of 1000% within the same time frame. In other words, it might actually be a great moment to short Berkshire Hathaway. I'm not even joking. I am fairly sure that shorting that stock will result in more profits than going long.
Bitcoin's price increased more than 1000% in the last year itself. So clearly the comparison is beyond pointless here. This sort of comparison is not only unhealthy but is useless. There is no use of proper data or data at all. @OP,get your facts and shit right.
400  Economy / Speculation / Re: These drops are very bad for newbies and new investers! on: May 12, 2018, 10:46:51 PM
Most of us have been here many times and see it as a good opportunity to buy more.
But I think the volatility is scaring new investors and can potential kill crypto in the long run.
If you think that these drops are bad, then the people for whom you're feeling pity for don't deserve a goddamn chance. They should be well aware what they are getting into. And don't blame crypto here. Even stocks are volatile. It's not crypto's fault if people are fucking dumb and useless shits.
