241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price increase trend? on: July 25, 2018, 11:43:40 PM
The price is increasing, to which I am somewhat surprised, as the ETF thing got delayed to like September, so the price might go down a little during this week(end). But on the long run, the price is gonna rise, and that's what matters.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the existence of bitcoins a threat to jobs and national currencies? on: July 25, 2018, 11:34:48 PM
We all know how powerful bitcoins are especially in financial terms. Having one makes you feel like a newly-crowned king ready for his throne and lux. Its value and essence is something that we cannot just ignore, resulting for some people relying on these 'God-given grace' instead of working hard and gaining the money that their own country uses. Some thought that it would be better off to have bitcoins and convert it into any kind of currency rather than to get a job and earn some thing. What do you think? Will bitcoin be able to eclipse the existence of national currencies in the near future?

No. Because, people see crypto as an asset(investment) or as a currency. What you're implying here is, bitcoin is a money spitting thing. Think like this, stocks and other assets have been existing for decades/centuries, but jobs are still there. The US dollar is still the powerful of them all, so bitcoin isn't a threat, but an alternative to fill the gaps of what national currencies and assets couldn't. It may be a business threat, but that's never gonna stop anything.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: The Cryptocurrency Market and How it Influences Our Economy? on: July 25, 2018, 11:12:13 PM
1. Increase economic income by cryptocurrency?
2. The Cryptocurrency Market and How it Influences Our Economy?
The questions you ask are highly debatable and is of normatic nature. By Normatic, I mean, the statements are based on opinions and not facts. It may or may not be true.

1. You cannot actually determine the increase, it cannot be calculated at all. Because you'd have to report your earnings from crypto, and most of them don't and most of them lie. And each country has its own intake on crypto, so no use.

2. Its an interesting question, crypto has influenced a lot of people, in a good and bad way. Almost 80-90%(personal opinion, is subject to be totally false) of the people think crypto is an asset. Assets don't influence economies in a direct way. Economies don't take crypto seriously, so in paper crypto does nothing. But in reality, its totally different. More than 300,000,000,000$(market cap of crypto) have been put into the world economy, and that is no small amount. So I guess you have an answer.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2018, 10:20:24 PM
- Gelson Martins to Atletico Madrid done deal. Crazy team: Oblak / Vrsaljko-Jimenez-Godín Lucas Hernández in the defense / Koke-Saul in midfield / Lemar-Gelson as wingers / Costa-Griezmann as forwards.

- Schürrle (Dortmund) could join Fulham on loan.

- De Laurentis (Napoli's president) has confirmed that they're close to signing Santiago Arias (PSV).

- Man Utd keen on Yerry Mina (Barcelona) and Rebić (Eintracht Frankfurt).

- Real Madrid keen on Cavani who wants to leave PSG.
Wow, I missed out on all the recent events. I am surprised that Cavani wants to leave. Imagine Real Madrid with Ronaldo, Cavani and Bale as their forwards. Oh Wait....

Okay, if Hazard becomes a done deal along with Cavani, the scary trio would be Hazard, Cavani and Bale. Midfielders would be Kroos, Modric, Casemiro. Wow ,this seems interesting and scary fuck.

^  Yup...  After Karius' disaster at the CL final, the Liverpool board must have gone:  'we have decided to break the bank for a new keeper for next season, what say you Mr. Chairman?'.

Mr. Chairman:  'Do it!'.  Lmao.  Cheesy
Karius fucked up quite a few matches even after the Champions League. That kid needs a break, desperately.

I'm not so sure if they would go for Lewandowski, but I wouldn't discard Thiago, who also wants to leave Bayern. Man Utd midfield isn't that impressive if you ask me, I think they need another world class creative midfielder who can help Pogba. If Thiago ends up going to Manchester (rumours also say he could go return to Barcelona), midfield would be something like Pogba-Matic-Thiago...scary.

Speaking of Man Utd, wtf happened with Anthony Martial? looks like he's going to stay...kinda odd, isn't it? especially after all the drama the media created a couple months ago.
Thiago is an awesome player, but even if they do sign Thiago, its not like they will win any cup inspite of having one of the best teams.  Grin

Anthony Martial honestly needs to go to a better team, Man Utd. isn't the best place for him.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: What don't you like about Banks and Banks controlling your money on: July 24, 2018, 11:53:24 PM
Firsty, them deciding what is suspicious and not suspicious

Not everybody is an employee working for someone. Some people are entrepreneurs, and as an entrepreneur, you can have some HUGE days. I don't need a bank telling me that my successful day where i made $20k+ is suspicious if I want to withdraw all of it. (people have been arrested for making large withdraws before).

Also, banks freely allowing their customers to scam business (via chargeback). Instead of blindly chargingback purchases and screwing over merchants, visa applicants should be required to take a course outlining the risks of credit cards, and Visa should do proper investigations when a chargeback is brought up.

If a tracking number and proof of delivery can be proved, why should the customer be given their money back?

ALSO, i recently looked into banking investment options. It comes across as a way to just make more money off customers. Think of it like this. It's like it's just them taking your money so they can invest it in polyniex. I only tried it out cause my family (who doesn't know about bitcoins) encouraged it.

Do you have any gripes about banks
I know a lot about banks and know what goes on in and out a bank, and to tell you the truth, its not good. One thing that annoys me a lot, is that they always ask for proof of funds. I mean bruh, come on. Another issue, is that they blindside people to getting a credit card and later on charging ridiculous amounts of interest and other fees. And most of the bank, have horrible e-Banking facilities, and if you have any issues, you legit have to visit the bank every now and then. Banks suck and we are forced to live along with it. They block your funds, no matter how legit they are, for no god damn reason. They will just block your funds out of the blue and claim it to be a security feature. Bitcoin is here to eliminate the usage of 3rd party intermediaries, and its not working well, for very few people believe in it.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's influence Elon Musk to accept BTC for Tesla! on: July 24, 2018, 11:20:32 PM
Elon Musk is called as Tony Stark for a reason. His love for new technology is unquestionable he is the one who made high-end technological ideas into reality. Be it world's largest Lithium Ion battery, Spacex or Hyper loop. Even though majority of his projects are still under testing phase, but Elon Musk is the man who can bring the impossible futures into our close vicinity by making it commercially viable. I won't be surprised if he agrees to accept bitcoin or any other crypto currency in future for all of his projects. If it was a different business person, I would not see any hope, but it is certainly possible with Mr. Musk. Retweeted and agreed!
Like you said, Musk is a type of guy who brings technological fantasies into reality, hence, there is more of a possibility for Musk to create his own crypto, and it would be a unique one, and not a shitcoin. The chances of Tesla officially accepting crypto is less, because only 600 people have upvoted it. That's drops of water, compared to the ocean of followers that Musk has. A twitter user claims that this website(https://m.alza.cz/tesla-s-75d-d4977590.htm) accepts bitcoin/litecoin for a Tesla. So make do with it. Keep in mind, that I don't know how legit that site is and the website is not using English language. So take your own risk.
247  Economy / Economics / Re: Be greedy when others are fearful... on: July 24, 2018, 10:59:01 PM
Quote
I will tell you the secret to getting rich on Wall Street. You try to be greedy when others are fearful. And you try to be fearful when others are greedy.
-Warren Buffet

This quote is constantly bandied about as justification to invest in Bitcoin, and especially now that there has been some nice price movement in the upward direction. But this Warren Buffet quote is only relevant with the proper context, which is that Warren Buffet only invests in things he has a fundamental understanding of and can quantifiably value. You can confidently be greedy when others are fearful if you have a sound investment thesis and are a fundamental value investor. This is how he turns his investments into home runs, he knows what he's buying and what it's worth and can weather the negative sentiment until the market learns what he already knows. This doesn't apply at all to a speculative investment like crypto. Following this advice willy-nilly is gonna get you burned because you're misunderstanding the intent and the application.

Don't not buy Bitcoin if that's what you want to do, but don't fool yourself into thinking you're following Warren Buffet's advice. Warren Buffet doesn't speculate, and if you're buying crypto, you're speculating.
Uh..Just don't listen to what Warren Buffet say blatantly. You do know that there are stupid people out there who would take the quote literally, and not put enough thought in it. I mean, you should believe in your gut more than what you believe in other people's sayings. Warren Buffet has no experience in crypto, hence he doesn't believe in it and that's what is expected of any person. You invest only if you believe in something. Warren Buffet is a legend when it comes to the stock market, he can make quick money, and he prefers to stay in that sort of market. That doesn't make stock market everyone's favorite.

And about the saying, Greed isn't the right word to use. You should use your wit and then decide if you want to go in or not, there should only be two things: Fear or no fear. Greed in between will ruin your thinking process. Don't invest into something just for money, invest to get a profit, in monetary terms and to gain exposure. That exposure is what will lead you elsewhere.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: July 24, 2018, 09:13:30 PM
Right now I've got enough dough to live just how I'd like to live.  I'm not wealthy by United States standards by a long shot, but I have everything I need and a lot of the things I want.  I just bought a beautiful gold-plated fountain pen for $140, and it's been exceeding my expectations and keeping me very amused and satisfied throughout the day.  I don't need big expensive things to keep me happy.  Those are all external solutions to what amounts to an internal problem if that's what you need to be happy.
This makes me sad. Really sad. At one end I see people not being happy even after owning a penthouse and what-not and here I see a person being happy with a 140$ fountain pen. Do people still use fountain pens? Didn't they get outdated?

OP, the tool is awesome. I was in search of something similar, and is very helpful, to me atleast. Well, guess who is moving to New York? Not me, I can tell you that.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: The cost of bitcoin grows on: July 23, 2018, 11:51:36 PM
The market capitalization of the crypto currency, which reflects the aggregate value of all bitcoins in circulation, was $ 105 billion.

Earlier, at least 2018 was recorded on February 6, when the value of the digital currency dropped to $ 6048. The last time the bitcoin rate fell below $ 6000 last year - October 29, when its value reached $ 5724.
This is not what cost means. Cost is the money incurred on production, as in the case of bitcoin, the amount of money that is spent to mine one bitcoin. What you're referring to here is the price of bitcoin, and not the cost. Cost aka mining expenses are increasing due to increase in mining difficulty, while the price of bitcoin is being affected by demand and supply. And market cap isn't a big deal, there's no real use to it.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Government Exchanges on: July 23, 2018, 11:45:19 PM
If the government still doesn't know how to put down all cryptocurrencies(or maybe they're still figuring how to tax users), why wouldn't they create an exchange and get some profit from it?

We know how B.S some exchanges are, they needed KYC but in the end, you won't be able to withdraw your funds.

Instead of spreading FUD, I hope government from all over the world knows that running an exchange can add funds for their country, and their pockets! Grin

I know it will be making cryptos centralized but look at those exchanges asking for our pretty faces and names just for their KYC/AML purposes.
Which government are you talking about? The US? Yeah they won't be doing that anytime soon. And its not like crypto is a government thing, why would a government make an exchange for something that is not even related to them? Governments can make a ton of money, from different sources. And even if they do, they will ask source of funds, which is almost impossible when it comes to crypto. I mean, think about it, this isn't a good idea at all.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Courses that are Accredited? on: July 23, 2018, 10:31:11 PM
There are a few colleges that offer cryptocurrencies related courses, that give out degrees if that's what you're asking. Most of them are US based and a couple of them here and there. The online courses only focus on teaching and not on giving out a valid certification, like you said. If you missed college to take these courses, then you need to figure out how to get back on track, because living in the without a real degree is everybody's worst nightmare.

253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you remember not so long ago... on: July 18, 2018, 11:53:59 PM
When there were lots and lots of question asking "is this the time to buy..."
i sincerely hope those asking the questions took the right advice and are
enjoying the markets now?

Dont get me wrong im not saying that the markets will continue to rise
without some form of corrections but if you are interested in making
some gains from earlier investment this is your time.

So did everyone take the advice when the markets had fallen and the
forum was full of negativity?
Those type of questions would continue to exist, no matter what happens, even if hell freezes over. People who ask such questions are the ones who think of bitcoin as a get rich money scheme. That is not how bitcoin is supposed to be traded on. There were better times in the past to sell and better times to buy. Everyone chose a different time. Thing is, these questions are so subjective, and those seeking such advice remain confused more than ever. Just buy when your gut says you to and sell when it feels to be a good time to sell. The consequence may be good or bad, but at least it wasn't because of someone else but you. That's way better than blaming someone else for your stupidity.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Confirmed, bull run begins now, what expectations? on: July 18, 2018, 11:44:54 PM
Nearly one billion dollars has entered bitcoin today according to cryptonic news item. This week has seen btc doing very well and all are excited.I know most people have individual plans for a moment like this, let's hear yours.
Are you fucking serious? 1 Billion dollars is no piece of cake. A lot of people have been saying that bitcoin will easily go to 35k USD and above, once the ETF gets approved and damn, I can't wait for that to happen. It just might make things much better. Trading would become more fun, the markets are so dull for months now. Suddenly, there is hype all around. Hopefully, the hype turns into a reality and doesn't become a total fail. Past couple of days have been exciting, the prices going up and down in a roller-coaster way. I am not having big expectations, but I am hoping for something in the range of 'good'.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Didier Drogba Ambassador for cryptocurrency, implications? on: July 18, 2018, 11:34:33 PM
1) Who the hell is Didier Drogba ?
2) A football player (thanks, google) telling people to invest in an ICO, what the hell could go wrong ?

Quote
The striker's involvement in cryptocurrency will sure have a positive influence on cryptocurrency especially his fans.

Yeah, and when that crap goes boom, everyone will say cryptos are scams.
Well, he is an ambassador for a social networking platform called all.me and he believes a lot in the project. He is not the first person to do such a thing and is not the last. ICOs look for marketing ideas and celebrities endorsing it would make their ICO a fucking success.

Another footballer, Luis Suarez also did the same, and exaggerated too much:
Quote
Last year, Uruguayan footballer Luis Suarez used his Instagram account to draw attention towards the blockchain platform Stox, “the best prediction market in the world”.

256  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETF approving in August, how much will affect the price? on: July 18, 2018, 11:28:33 PM
In the past, we have seen a few attempts of ETF ( exchange-traded fund ) for BTC, but they are rejected by SEC ( US Securities and Exchange Commission ). Now there is a new attempt for ETF from CBOE ( Chicago Board Options Exchange ) for which decision should be made in next month ( August 2018 ).

Unlike past attempts some things have changed and most agree that the chances for acceptance of this ETF are much bigger then before. The biggest change is that SEC recognized BTC as a currency instead securities, and some things are much clearer then before.

Some calculations say that hundreds of billions $ could enter in crypto market and push price even over 40 000$. Thus at first it seems to ETF would be really big thing for BTC regarding ease of investing.

Quote
Let me describe how “easy” it is. Once the Securities and Exchange Commission allows Bitcoin ETFs, anyone with a 401K, IRA, or an investment account, like with the following top five broker-dealers, could invest in Bitcoin with a simple click — no wire transfer or credit card fees, no explaining Coinbase, other crypto exchanges, and security hurdles.

https://medium.com/ironwood-rg/how-etfs-can-bring-bitcoin-over-35k-aacc58477b7e
I was being misguided on these ETFs before, and thanks I needed to read this.

Honestly, this can be the big breakthrough, everyone has been hoping for. If these ETFs get approved, a bullish trend is for sure on its way. However, these ETFs can screw things up. I have seen people being scammed by brokers and related exchanges by showing them a balance but having withdraw or deposit option. They only had a buy option and an automatic sell option. So basically people would buy it at a comparatively higher price and sell at a lower price.  I really think if someone should buy bitcoin, it should be the traditional way. I don't want people to look at it as a security/get rich scheme, which they will after the ETF gets approved. People should really be interested in what's behind the crypto and be a true investor.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 18, 2018, 11:10:29 PM
Fun Fact:

France won the world without these members: Costil, Debuchy, Zouma, Laporte, Digne, Sissoko, Rabiot, Payet, Ben Yedder, Lacazette, Martial.

These are some of the best world class players and they didn't play the world cup. And the team they represent won the world cup. You gotta feel sad.

Another fun fact:

Kalinic left the World Cup on June 17th because they didn't play him in the main XI and Croatia reached the finals.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Champions Cup on: July 18, 2018, 11:04:31 PM
Yeah I am curious to know if Ronaldo is going to play for Juventus in this cup. It would be the perfect time for Juventus to show their newly signed superstar. But I think Ronaldo will be probably vacationing and won't be included in the squad, because after the strenuous La Liga season, the record-breaking Champions League win and playing in the World Cup he needs a lot of rest in order to be able to give his 100% for Juventus in Serie A next season. What's more, Real Madrid are playing against Juventus on Sunday August 5th in Washington so if Ronaldo is going to show up at least once it's definitely going to be in this one against his former team  Grin
I think Juventus fans(other than me) would be super pissed if they don't let Ronaldo play. They have created so much hype, Ronaldo's arrival to Turin has been a delight apparently. And Ronaldo is also happy taht he moved to Juventus. I want Ronaldo to show up against Madrid, and worst of all, be in a different club and not have his best friend, Marcelo around. The chemistry is broken people.

I read somewhere that he's not going to play against RM. I can't remember the link to the article but it said that C.Ronaldo will start training with Juventus on the 30th this month, and the match vs Real Madrid is 5 days later so he won't have enough time to prepare for this match. I think this (longer vacations and late arrival to trainings) applies to all the players involved in the World Cup knockout stages, like Matuidi and Mandzukic in Juventus, could be the same in other clubs.

About the tournament, I'm looking forward to it. It's probably the most interesing pre-season tournament in the world, though I don't like it when the teams start making 11 substitutions or more in the 2nd half of the games. And I feel like this tournament should be an official tournament, just imagine a super league with Europe's best teams  Cheesy

Anyways, we have the first match next Friday: Man City vs Dortmund. Maybe we'll see Mahrez playing a few minutes.
Is this the article: http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/07/12/5b465f2be5fdea07178b4608.html

This tournament is gonna be super fun, I just can't wait for it to begin.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 18, 2018, 10:55:42 PM
^  Yup, for sure he wants to leave the Chelsea/EPL but as a fan I'd like to see him stay for a year more just to warch him play Sarri's system.  I read a few articles about him and they say he brings something revolutionary in any club he manages.
A lot of people are keen on seeing Sarri managing Chelsea.

- Mourinho wants both Lewandowski (Bayern) and Thiago (Bayern).
Don't Man United already have a good team? They just bought Lukaku and Sanchez last year and now they want Lewandowski? They also have Pogba and they are rooting for Thiago? They already have a good Mid-field with Lingard, Fellaini, Pogba, Herrera.

Liverpool are going to buy the goalkeeper Alisson from Roma for 66 million pounds. Looks like the Liverpool woes for a new established goalkeeper are coming to an end. I am wondering what will happen to Loris Karius now, like are they going to sell him or loan him out to another club? Do you think anyone from the big European clubs would want him after the massive blunders in the Champions League final?  I think I have heard somewhere that a small newly promoted to Seria A Italian club wanted his services, but I am not sure if the owner of the club was just joking or being serious  Grin
Karius fucked in another match. Feel bad for him, they might just keep him in sub.

Well, goodbye Higuain, Juventus will miss you. Okay maybe not, Ronaldo's arrival has put the entire spot light on him. Juventus have fucking sold more 60 million $ of Ronaldo jerseys only,in less than 24 hours.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: July 18, 2018, 10:34:10 PM
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?
There are a few things you need to know: The basics first, the difference between the Debit balance and the credit balance. Debit balance would be the withdrawals and credit would be deposits.

Interest rates, yearly credit card fee, late payment fee, initial set-up fee, Remittance fee, trading Foreign exchange, giving out short loans to other banks, cheque cancellation fee. This is more than enough for what you need to know. Don't ask for more.  Lips sealed
