YW. Let us know how it works for you. There are places where you need to change Monero to Intense Coin. In the screenshots this is underlined by the red line. To see the latter you need to make a little window. Thanks for reporting, we'll fix it asap.

this need an hard fork then that is an option, but let's not rush to conclusions. I will sell off all but a token position of any CN coin I have mined that does not hard fork to protect itself against the Baikal Giant N. You basically have 2-3 weeks to get your shit together or you can experience what SIA just went through. What if the baikal already has support for the new monero PoW? This is what I mean with "don't rush to conclusions". You risk double damage. Let's study the baikal and all the PoW options we have and decide carefully. A hard fork is not something to take lightly. i doubt they can already, is the monero pow just a change in some parameters like the different equihash? yes

How much does it cost to get listed there? M7 now on Baikal guys and gals. So get ready for the hashrate AND diff to go up in a massive way when the ASIC miners are released. #crysx Could you please show the link? I've seen a new cryptonight asic, but no M7.

I've been contacting countless exchanges. Most of them don't even reply, some of them want >4 BTC for listing. This is the current situation with exchanges. Still we are in novaexchange and they should open deposits soon, but I can't tell for sure as it's up to them. Meanwhile, I'm searching for new exchanges every day, but at the same time I don't want to get listed on a shady one, as I don't want people to risk loosing their money. About development, I understand it may look like we just "dump version", but again I'm working every day on xcn with my little free time; we can't count on any premine, ico or part of the block reward. Still, we have made important changes and fixes since I started working on this project 1.5 years ago. The XCN community is made of honest guys that believe in the technology, not the pump and dump kind of users, and this is also a result of the serious and honest approach to coin development we are used to.

Hummm what's everyone doing over here? Just kidding. How you doing pallas? I'm just mining some Cryptonite here. Good coin. Any improved mining apps.?I'm going to try your miner. djm's miner is still the fastest. Others don't allow intensity settings. Anyone know where I can get the latest wallet? I have 0.1.2.0 The one on OP is dead link. thx For windows if your datadir is already syncd you can use this one. It uses db6.1 so backup your wallet.dat first. If you're not syncd it should work with the latest blockchain snapshot. Cryptonite 0.1.4.10: http://www.mediafire.com/file/26wfu8m1527lmcf/cryptonite-qt.exeThx will do. Old wallet had nodes ... but new one no nodes .. won't sync. EDIT: I deleted ver 1.4.1 and installed 1.4.0 and now it's syncing. maybe you had an old peers.dat in the datadir? you can keep the chain and remove the peers.dat file safely. I took out the old conf file too... see what happens. I did delete everything except wallet dat and old conf. first time. It is rescaning right now and won't open up yet... see what happens. there is a problem with the latest wallet and sync from scratch, so either keep the old chain or use the snapshot (available in the OP).

I will update the link on the OP, thanks.

Hi,
I'm a science computer professor teaching blockchain to my student in the university. We are implementing cryptonite in a private network that we have in our lab with 5 machine. We would like to implement a private mini-blockchain net and start to review the code and make some modification in order to see if it is possible to offer a smart contrat solution for mini-blockchain (master thesis)
We have compiled the code on linux mint 18 and everything was ok (following the steps in the github project page).
Now we need to create a private mini-blockchain network and we think the solution would be to recode the dns hardcode in order to set the new one (a own node seed), but we need to ask you some help, at least some directions to following with our experimentation on this fascinating proposal for scalability.
have anyboy in this forum implemented a private mini-blockchain? could you give some recomendation?
Regards Bitcc
Making a private network is easy and quick. May I suggest we continue the discussion on discord? Hi pallas, thanks for your answer and sorry, English is not my primary language, what do you meant with discussion on discord? Please use the new thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801595.0Here is the XCN discord (which is a communication platform): https://discord.gg/psFsTMv

If we want to be certain that no hacked coins are in circulation, we must make a new coin, but the old one will stay nonetheless. The rebranding is good for marketing, but it won't change anything in that regard.
But as I understand, if you want to send hacked coins to the wallet it won't accept it, yes? So maybe you should do a coin swap to new blockchain with rebranding? Anybody, who would be interested would migrate and swap coins, and old chain would remain, but undeveloped. It's not that easy. We can't know which transactions include hacked coins when coming from an exchange, and also what to do with transactions that contain both hacked and honest coins. That's why it should have been a task for the exchange itself, as they may easily know which user received the hacked coins first, and folow the history from there. So this means, you can withdraw hacked coins to your wallet? Something like zcoin terrible flaw. So maybe it's a good idea to swap coins to new blockchain with anyone who would want to participate and start new coin? Because it's a mess now... that is a possibility. in brief, we could: - keep it as is and start a new coin, with same codebase but different name and new blockchain. - just rebrand the current coin. - organise a coin swap to a new blockchain, with optional rebranding (at least the name/ticker will need to change, to avoid confusion).
