Can't load wallet up. Anyone else having problems?

I get a window pop-up: "System error - unknown database error."

I've got backups but how exactly should I tackle this.

Do I try to completely erase the wallet, reinstall it and just load up my backup wallet?

I've been mining for a few days. Will an old backup still be able to compute the coin I've mined that hasn't been stored in a backup?

Thanks in advance
There are no coins or transactions stored in wallet.dat
You can create a new wallet, make a backup of wallet.dat and just forget it. After years of mining and doing transactions you can restore all those things just by using the file from day 1. This is because the wallet only contains the private key that proofs your ownership of different events saved in the blockchain (like transactions and found blocks).

In your case, I would

1) close wallet
2) backup wallet.dat
3) remove everything BUT wallet.dat within the folder you've found wallet.dat
4) start wallet and wait until all is synced

Don't use this thread anymore! There's a new one:

Anyone has an idea why the reward at darkcoin.fr (P2P) is only a quarter of what I get at a classic pool? I had less than 1% rejects....so?
Monitored for 24h.

Less than one percent is not normal
Mine pool should be a problem
Good luck to you

Have you been mining 24 hours?  You won't get up to full rewards until 24 hours have passed, but then again, you will continue to collect after you quit for 24 hours, so it evens out Smiley
Yes, DRKs were dropping in all time after quitting until even out Smiley

@Suchpool.pw
Can you please reduce min cashout to 0.1 or less?

Very nice. You should consider to enlarge the small text. Even on a 24" screen it's hard to recognize Wink

Here is what Doge thinks about merged mining with LTC:

What if we ask Dogecoin developers if we can join them?  I threw out an interest / giveaway thread.  If you want free 10k tips go here and upvote!!!!
It is not democratic when people sell their vote.

TiPS will go into the hands of active community members, shibes
Tips has already an active community (and active devs).

FedoraCoin fits the Dogecoin meme theme
I like tipping doges Wink

Multipools can't switch between Doge and TiPS to wait for diff to decrease.
Yes, because they always mine both at the same time for the same cost which you have currently for each coin.
I'm not sure on this whether it's good or bad  Undecided

Shibes get more bang for their buck for same hashing power.
Sounds like they aren't interested in holding the coins. Just a "throw away" to reduce their cost for a decadent expensive coin (sorry, no offense)?!

Quote
Way more secure for TiPS - .2GH/s community mining -> 70GH/s community mining
1. The hashrate is pending between .5 and .8GH/s, not .2
2. I prefer a natural grow of the hash instead because it tells you a lot about community loyality and profitability. This picture could become unclear with the shibes hashes.
If all shibes just dump all their free TIPS then more investments by the TIPS community will be needed to stay at the same price level. This in fact would decrease the value of all coins held by now.
How can we know dogeminers won't dump them all?

cryptolemaik +1

Besided that, I'm interested what the side effects would be regarding technical sovereignty? Would each coin still have the possibility for changes like diff and/or mining algo etc or are they tied up together?
Sorry if that sounds noobish Wink

What would that mean? Are miners then mining LTC and DGB simultaneously?
When you mine you would be mining Dogecoins & DigiBytes at the same time.
This sounds quite interesting from a miners perspective. However, what are the experiences at Namecoin?
I fear this would push DGB in Litecoins shadow for all time.

If this is just to prevent forks, you should take a look at the CGA thread. There is someone working on a anti-forking feature which pushes mislead clients back to the right chain. I don't know any details though.

Important!

Please send request to Moolah to add Execoin!

We need your support to be added to Moolah. It is an important step since Moolah is a popular platform for online merchants and if Execoin will be added there it has a high chance to be widely supported by merchants.

We have already sent an official request few days ago, but they need a proof of community support, so please send a request or short message explaining why you want Execoin to be added to both hi@moolah.ch and support@moolah.ch

Thank you!

Nice, I didn't know them so far. Looks like a nice platform. Mails sent Smiley

Who is running http://pay.withfedoraco.in ?

Is that service abondened? I see there several old links (old thread, price udpates via coinedup). If this is still under development, I can give some suggestion how to improve your service so that it gets more probable to get used by more merchants.

OMG please don't waste ressources for such ideas!

Lets just sit here and moan about new ideas instead, because that's productive.

It is just absolutely irrevelant whether you can buy TIPS as a single unit or in packages of 1000. I see no point in it. Especially as every exchange can handle this in a different manner. So this isn't something that can be controlled by the dev team or the community.
What's really needed are more applications and a wider acceptance of TIPS. Not any artistical stunt to try to pump the value artificially. TIPS has enough substance to grow big without such tricks.
