Ironically I've made some tiny improvements to the OpenCL kernel and will be squeezing a few tiny drops more out of them in the next cgminer release. I feel it's my last chance to do anything with OpenCL and bitcoin mining and I'm gonna miss it.

Don't worry Con, you'll still have scrypt to optimize.    Cheesy

Thanks in advance for the tiny extra drops!  They'll add up when BTC reaches parity with gold.
9502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC scrypt fork on: February 20, 2013, 06:46:27 PM
The funny thing buddy is I know how to speak Hawaiian, Japanese, English......

Too bad you didn't learn Russian.

Then you could have helped with NovaCoin development or at least mined some early blocks, instead of being late to the party and then crying us a river about it.

Hawaiian?  How useless!   Cheesy

Scammer tag time.

Scammer tag was due a long time ago, when they offered (baited me with) an ASUS VGA to the top hasher then switched to "guess what, now it's a random lottery drawing."
9504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC scrypt fork on: February 20, 2013, 12:15:02 AM
1:1 because I'd be holding up my coins for half a year.

Both parties would have their coins held up for half a year.

If you're so sure NVC is a short-term scam, put your money where your mouth is and pony up some more attractive odds.

Offering coin flip probability isn't a very impressive offer, nor does it do much to convince people you truly believe what you're saying.

It's actually an argument in favor of NovaCoin, because most AltCoins don't make it that long!   Grin
9505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC scrypt fork on: February 19, 2013, 11:28:59 PM
If you think NovaScam would actually be used after 6 months send me a PM. Let's do an escrowed bet in BTC/USD.

What odds are you offering?  Not merely a cowardly 1:1, I would hope!   Grin

Exactly how sure are you NVC will be gone in 6 months?  75%?  99%?    Tongue
9506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scammer Accusation] BTC-e.com or Balthazar on: February 19, 2013, 09:57:52 PM
Im having a hard time picking just one of these over at the sec website....

Please select the option that best describes your complaint:

Fraudulent investment scheme, such as a Ponzi scheme or the promise of high-yield returns
Unregistered securities offering
General trading practices or pricing issues
Manipulation of a security
Insider trading
Material misstatement or omission in a company's public filings or financial statements, or a failure to file
Municipal securities transactions or public pension plans
Bribery of, or improper payments to, foreign officials (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Violations)
A specific market event or condition (please describe below)
If your complaint does not fit in any of the categories above, please describe below

Any of you legal pros out there... is this (sec) where I file a complaint about a violation of the (KYC) money laundering laws?

 Cheesy  Bwahahaha!  Cheesy

Too bad that list doesn't include your real complaint, which is butthurt over the emergence of a second scryptchain.

FYI, the SEC has no jurisdiction over Ukraine.

Even the stalwart, normally phlegmatic Bitcoin Police are shocked at your stupidity.   Roll Eyes

"Really failingbare?  Are you still jealous of Novacoin?
Maybe you shouldn't have invested so much in Litecoin, you dumbass!

9507  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: February 19, 2013, 12:42:32 AM
Where do you get your numbers dude?

They're not my numbers man.  I was reporting what I saw at PicoStocks.com's page "100th : asset summary."

http://picostocks.com/stocks/view/19

It's not dead yet; it's getting better!   Cheesy

9510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin isn't going to make it: The National Security Agency on: February 18, 2013, 10:47:57 AM
*Put on tinfoil hat*

Any first world government may carry out a 51% attack.  NSA/KGB/MI5 have been fabbing their own chips for decades.

Plus they have alien tech from Roswell that makes Avalon look like wind-up toys.

Bitcoin is just a massive decentralized honey pot/sting operation.

Price is down 42% today.

Well now.  That sure did implode in a timely manner.

Is there any way to short this thing like a Chinese fraud stock?
9512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scammer Accusation] BTC-e.com or Balthazar on: February 18, 2013, 05:25:23 AM
this is the biggest fail of a scam accusation evar.

failingbare and co. are merely repeating the same bs over and over, and assuming all who disagree just haven't read the thread.

now the goalposts are moving as they retreat from the narrow original complaint to a much broader "money laundering" accusation.

everyone following this drama sees the obvious butthurt being caused by a second scryptchain.
9513  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beard trimmers on: February 16, 2013, 06:26:25 AM
I've been using my Norelco vacuum trimmer since 1995, or maybe 1996.

Sure the NiCad battery no longer holds a charge.  Whatever, I just use it plugged into the wall.

And yes, it does take a second to initialize.

But I refuse to replace it until there's an upgrade with silver oxide power cells.

Build liek a tank, she is.  And served me well, she has.   Cool

That's a testament to the power of meticulous maintenance, and the quality of Philips' electronic gadgets!
9514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was this NVC/Btce drama a culture conflict? on: February 16, 2013, 06:09:14 AM
I'm not wanting to forbid this act, it's just that it's a coin that shouldn't have really became so popular, I mean Balthazar even admitted that it was just to screw with the moderators:

Quote
12.02.13 01:55:42 Balthazar: JonMc95, originally this project was created to troll russian subforums moderator... But some people started to mine it more active.

Oh my gosh, wow.  That is awesome.

If Balthazar really did sucessfully implement Project Trollcoin, I bow down in humble reverence.

Full Disclosure:  I bought 3BTC worth of Trollcoins and flipped them for a quick 0.2BTC return on investment.

PPC + Scrypt seemed innovative enough, and the hype guaranteed momentum sufficient for decent profit.

I didn't keep any of the free Trollcoins I earned, because I don't believe in proof-of-stake (reeks of communism).

But if I had realized it was an Epic Prank, I would have kept a few as souvenirs.

That makes me no better than the nonstop-whining lot who got totally and completely trolled (*cough* TradeFortress/smoothy/laughingbear *cough*).

Well played, Balthazar.  Well played, indeed.   Embarrassed -->  Grin
9515  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Diablo Mining Company [shifting gears] on: February 15, 2013, 11:17:45 PM
I'll trade 11 DMC for 1 ASICMINER, and I'll offer this to any shareholder. Priority will be number of shares traded. Trade will happen when the ASICMINER exchange comes online, so everyone has until then to figure out what they're going to do. Requests for trade must be made in public.

Hi Diablo,

I own 110 shares of DMC and wish to trade them for 10 shares of ASICMINER, as soon as possible.

Thanks,

-iB
9516  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: February 15, 2013, 11:02:05 PM
Please take the talk of "pass-through" scams out of this thread.  It does not belong here.

This thread must remain absolutely silent or off-topic, because "ASICMINER" shares are not tradable until their exchange opens.

Please take the talk of "ASICs" out of this thread, which is for the topic of "Securities."  It does not belong here.

There is an appropriate "Mining Hardware" section where such discussion may take place.

9517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scammer Accusation] BTC-e.com or Balthazar on: February 15, 2013, 10:40:32 PM
LOL Balthazar and/or btc-e are now scammers for creating a coin you dont like??? Get real ppl, get real...

Watch out Balthazar, the Bitcoin Police party van is parked outside BTC-E headquarters RIGHT NAO!

"Hello, you've reached the Bitcoin Police.
What's that?  Another irrelevant altcoin?
Thank you vigilant netizen, we'll make it our highest priority!"

Well, you should be.   Cheesy

What an idiot.  Someday this poorly researched statement will be more infamous than Bill Gates' apocryphal "640K of memory is all that anybody with a computer would ever need" quote.
