No new SC language means fewer obstacles, more devs & resources.

The Governance Smart Contract has been updated to make it easy for delegators & validators to vote proportionally with their staked $EGLD amounts. Added the possibility to vote with not staked $EGLD, locking it for the duration of the vote.

The NFT marketplace has been updated with additional information about the top bidder & bid value. Elasticsearch has been updated to get the full NFT history, automating the process of building an NFT’s provenance.

Released elrond-wasm 0.17.0, which contains:
- ability to create integration tests based on arwen-mandos
- send API refactor
- payment_nonce annotated arguments

Other notable achievements:
- Development branch update, finalized fixes that could have triggered out-of-memory exceptions
- 3 testnet upgrades that prove the v1.1.59 is the mainnet RC version & is working as designed

Blockchain development update

ETN-Network Head of Blockchain Chris Harrison said he is pleased to update ETN users and the broader crypto and blockchain community that the blockchain project he and his team are working on is progressing on time.

 "We are coming to the end of the development phase of the blockchain project on which we are currently working," assured Mr. Harrison. "We will likely enter the testing phase within the next few weeks."

Mr. Harrison said he is also delighted to announce that the Ledger cold storage wallet coding revision will be one of his team's next priorities following the launch of the blockchain update.

A Support Team update

Head of Operations Nick Cook reported that although Support has significantly reduced the account verification backlog, the Support team continues to grow.

Support is currently in a much better place regarding user accounts and verifications, Mr. Cook highlighted. And while ETN-Network continues to train new Support staff members, they are presently working very efficiently in onboarding the thousands of new users we have incoming daily.

Work continues on the workflows that leverage the CardPay SDK. All the logic of the smart contracts that are necessary for the creation of prepaid cards has been completed and deployed to the respective testnets.



Once the user experience for all these workflows is completed, using the workflow thread model taken from the Boxel design system, we will be able to open up testing to users in the Cardstack community.

As for gas prices, a gas price oracle will help determine the appropriate gas price to be used on the xDai chain. The gas price is very low, averaging 1 gwei, with the fastest being 5 gwei.

Since the xDai chain is denominated in xDAI (a stablecoin), most transactions that are needed for the CardPay protocol are less than a tiny fraction of a penny.

To help with testing these cross-chain bridging and minting operations, we use Kovan ETH to create DAI, which are bridged as the testing stablecoin to back our prepaid balances.
