Working on a deal to get a new block explorer. Would love to source the bounty from the community.
Cost is .05BTC Can take donations in BTC or SSD. will do final conversion via exchange for BTC and then send.

let me guess, 60 pages and zero innovation? i know that feel bro..

what? zero innovation?
you know another coin with a mobile app for steganography
Through this app, you can send coins anonymously by sms, hidden in a pic.
If the message was intercepted, the only thing that will appear for NSA, is that a photo has been submitted

yeah, like a computer scientist isn't gonna notice the abnormal patterns in the image file.

Thats the whole point of f5 steganography. It blends in with the preexisting jpeg compression algorithm making it harder to detect. The next bit though is the part that blows you away. Even if you know there is data encoded in the picture, your going to need to figure out how its encoded and then comes the challenge of decryption. It's not just steganography.

Also there is more than one particular steganographic method, so the first hurdle is compounded by trying to figure out what method to look for.

304  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CryptoCertify: Bottom-to-Top Coin Certification on: October 04, 2014, 06:23:26 PM
I'm a bit unclear... are your services targeted at creating a brand new cryptocurrency from the ground up. or do you simply certify existing crypto's (or both)?

We take the PoD idea and extend it to code verification, and builds guaranteed to be free of viruses. This way you don't have to worry about getting hijacked or have a hidden premine somewhere.

306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 02, 2014, 08:27:09 PM
Coins are traceable back to the coinbase!

Even if you enforce stealthaddresses starting with the genesis block, that statement is still true.

+1 for stating the obvious.

Wont be with zk-snarks layer!

Like I asked on the shadow thread, how is zk-snarks going to be layered to improve the anonymity? No one answered, not even the developer. Instead, he deleted my posts. So I came back here and bought more XST. And I'm richer for it.

Coins are removed from circulation, effectively placed in escrow when they are placed in an anonymous output.
We need to prove that we redeemed an output, without revealing which output was redeemed and a redeem transaction would look like a coinbase.
The redeem transaction destroys one of the anonymous outputs but it is not possible to know which one was destroyed.
It won't be possible to use the same output twice, as it would require a secret key which becomes known to everyone when the output is redeemed.
The zk-proof proves the secret key is linked to an output in the set, but only the redeemer knows which one. -SDCDev

Correct me if im wrong, but that sounds like a mixer...
IMHO thats a step backwards
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 02, 2014, 01:44:45 PM
Yes it would.  I did have an idea for steganography cold wallets but haven't had the time to look into it. The tech involved would reduce the possibility for errors, but the cost would be substantially greater for production
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: October 02, 2014, 06:04:35 AM
Pretty awesome coin guys!

A question about the Steganography, will it have to be a picture/file that is sent between two parties or could one person post an Encrypted photo on say instagram or Pin it or any classified site and as long as the receiver of it has the private key and know which photo it is they can go and retrieve their coins?

Thanks

it could probably be able to be setup like that. as it currently is though there is a time element to the encoded transaction.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 02, 2014, 05:04:05 AM
Crypto Asian wasn't lying when he said Hondo is a genious...Layers of Anon and stealth addresses, hellz yeah

I have a question. So XST already has stealth address like SSD, and later with have the Chardrin Signatures? I'm I getting that right?

yep
*chandran signatures

AFAIK Chandran signatures is a feature of stealthsend not XST but don't quote me feel wait for hondo to clarify or check previous posts.

How about get it fixed?

you should be asking kassado feel free to join #rubycoin.org on irc. he is in channel but no guarantee he will ever respond
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite on: September 30, 2014, 05:00:20 PM
Not sure if this is the problem but I did notice this:

https://github.com/rubycoinorg/rubycoin/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp
Code:
Value getmininginfo(const Array& params, bool fHelp)
{
    if (fHelp || params.size() != 0)
        throw runtime_error(
            "getmininginfo\n"
            "Returns an object containing mining-related information.");

    Object obj;
    obj.push_back(Pair("blocks",        (int)nBestHeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocksize",(uint64_t)nLastBlockSize));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocktx",(uint64_t)nLastBlockTx));
    obj.push_back(Pair("difficulty",    (double)GetDifficulty()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("errors",        GetWarnings("statusbar")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("generate",      GetBoolArg("-staking")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("genproclimit",  (int)GetArg("-genproclimit", 0)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("hashespersec",  gethashespersec(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("networkhashps", getnetworkhashps(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("pooledtx",      (uint64_t)mempool.size()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("testnet",       fTestNet));

    // ppcoin
    uint64 nAverageWeight = 0, nTotalWeight = 0;
    pwalletMain->GetStakeWeight(*pwalletMain, nAverageWeight, nTotalWeight);
    Object weight;
    weight.push_back(Pair("average", (uint64_t)nAverageWeight));
    weight.push_back(Pair("total",   (uint64_t)nTotalWeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeweight", weight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeinterest",  (uint64_t)COIN_YEAR_REWARD));
    obj.push_back(Pair("netstakeweight", (uint64_t)GetPoSKernelPS()));
    return obj;
}

https://github.com/cummingtonite/cummingtonite/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp
Code:
Value getmininginfo(const Array& params, bool fHelp)
{
    if (fHelp || params.size() != 0)
        throw runtime_error(
            "getmininginfo\n"
            "Returns an object containing mining-related information.");

    Object obj;
    obj.push_back(Pair("blocks",        (int)nBestHeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocksize",(uint64_t)nLastBlockSize));
    obj.push_back(Pair("currentblocktx",(uint64_t)nLastBlockTx));
    obj.push_back(Pair("difficulty",    (double)GetDifficulty()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("errors",        GetWarnings("statusbar")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("generate",      GetBoolArg("-staking")));
    obj.push_back(Pair("genproclimit",  (int)GetArg("-genproclimit", 0)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("hashespersec",  gethashespersec(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("networkhashps", getnetworkhashps(params, false)));
    obj.push_back(Pair("pooledtx",      (uint64_t)mempool.size()));
    obj.push_back(Pair("testnet",       fTestNet));

    // ppcoin
    uint64 nAverageWeight = 0, nTotalWeight = 0;
    pwalletMain->GetStakeWeight(*pwalletMain, nAverageWeight, nTotalWeight);
    Object weight;
    weight.push_back(Pair("average", (uint64_t)nAverageWeight));
    weight.push_back(Pair("total",   (uint64_t)nTotalWeight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("stakeweight", weight));
    obj.push_back(Pair("netstakeweight", (uint64_t)GetPoSKernelPS()));
    return obj;
}

Missing line of code in the cummingtonite/blob/master/src/rpcmining.cpp file:
Code:
obj.push_back(Pair("stakeinterest",  (uint64_t)COIN_YEAR_REWARD));

Rubycoin is currently stuck too. I wouldn't take anything from that code.

what your referring to is actually a section of the code that is returned when you do rpccommand 'getmininginfo' it doesn't actually have anything to do with the mining of the coin and as such would not cause the coin to fail in signblock.

Interesting Coin just picked a few

Nice Wallet, somehow the Tweets not working inside the wallet. Also when i click on "follow" nothing happens.

The links dont work as you would expect because they would normally open a new window. Since I have not coded in the ability for QT to handle those popouts they dont work currently. What you can do though is right click and copy address and then open in a new window.

392.000 SSD in C-CEX and to day reveice 1.18BTC.
1 SSD = 300sat only
SSD in Bittrex 1ssd = 3000 sat.

OMG! Bye bye C-Cex

Could have not given you anything at all, also I read when this happened it was fellow traders who spent the extra coins that weren't theirs to begin with but never alerted ccex admins. So in essence ccex didn't steal your coins the community took advantage of an issue they had with the ssd wallet and sold your coins for free. I don't see any of these traders coming forward and admitting it though.

Quit shilling for C-CEX the scam exchange, you scammer.

Big purple letters scare me I'll never trade their again!!

Stop shilling for the dev weirdo.

You are the weirdo. You go out of your way to scam for C-CEX on a thread you only visit to scam at, scammer.

If you actually did your homework I posted on this thread before you positively.  It's only only when I see devs acting like they are God's gift to humanity my tone changes. All i see from you is a dev sock puppet and a weird obsession with ccex. Will I defend exchanges that take all these shitty coded coins soon after released?  Yes because without them your coins have no value. So kindly go fuck yourself.

Could I get some clarification here. Number 1 shitty code? what are you basing this on? Number 2, God's gift to humanity? really how so? Number 3, and I will repeat the challenge again, If you think there is a problem with the code kindly point it out. If you prove to be correct and can demonstrate as such I will gladly fix it. I have to ask though if there is an issue with my code how come no other exchange has had an issue?

If you have read the thread and the logs you would see the issue does not lay with the wallet but with the database they keep as well as using an old wallet due to user error during an update. If any of you were to go to through backup your wallet.dat file, create a bunch of addresses, then revert back to the previous wallet and create addresses you would find you experience the same thing that they are going through. This is not due to some bug in my code this is due to the deterministic nature of wallet generation from a keypool.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CUM] [SCRYPT POW/POS] Cummingtonite on: September 30, 2014, 01:42:56 AM
Congratulations Kiely!!! Cummingtonite will forever go down as the worst launch in crypto! You now hold a unique title that no other "dev" can claim. I want to commend you on behalf of this community for your failings. We hope you enjoy your duly earned and newly-attainted title.

I am curious, why are you pointing at kiely for all of this? Is she the developer of this coin? cause from my understanding it was developed by kassado? where is he in all of this?
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: September 30, 2014, 01:40:00 AM
http://pastebin.com/rjckMXvd

this is the full paste of today as of 637pm Pacific Time
if more is added I will let you know.
first off, you use an old wallet backup with the same keypool, you will get the same addresses again the address generation doesn't poll the blockchain looking to see if its used as some people seem to believe. Secondly when upgrading the developer is not responsible if you do not backup your wallet or follow upgrade instructions which as a result corrupts your only recent wallet.dat.

Compiling headless wallet under Ubuntu 14.04 keeps giving me

sonicvortex.h:15:31: fatal error: cryptopp/cryptlib.h: No such file or directory
 #include "cryptopp/cryptlib.h"

Any ideas?

You may need to make a link to your cryptopp and call the link "cryptopp".

if you open makefile.debian there are pretty good directions in it.
and then you can do make -f makefile.debian and it will build

Just fair warning C-Cex is having issues again. Someone yet again its my fault that they appear to have lost track of their coins. as an update here is the pastebin of this current conversation. http://pastebin.com/kphuKg74  followed by http://pastebin.com/R8zKgKvN
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - 1st TOR with functional anon send - Steganography based Anon App on: September 29, 2014, 05:51:05 PM
So was a pump group involved in todays movement? Or is it just new interest in the coin?
Either way though. Dev you should be proud of this coin and the outstanding work you have put in as a solo developer.
To the moon.
 Cool
Thank you I try.
