341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] Sonic - First coin over TOR with functional anon send - 0% prem on: September 24, 2014, 12:05:40 AM
Hey devs, trying to compile the wallet in linux.  I'm coming up with this error.  I know you guys are working on the code and have not seen any info on when work on the 1.2 will be completed.  Pulled from the latest github source.

/root/SonicScrewdriver/src/rpcrawtransaction.cpp:557: undefined reference to `decryptsonictxt(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >, std::vector<std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> >, std::allocator<std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > > >&)'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [Sonicd] Error 1

any help would be appreciated.

devs can you take a look at this later.  cant compile the linux wallet.

you cant compile cause its not quite finished yet for starters your going to need to have libcryptopp-dev
Thats actually partly the reason for the delay. Windows doesnt want to build.

Don't want to be Mr OCD...Is it possible to change the header as well?
Fixed.  I thought I had last night when I updated but apparently had not

OP updated and the Re branding process has begun

As you may have heard from IRC, I am just working out the last couple kinks in the app. Currently researching a dependable MMS processor. Once one is found the app with documentation will be finished.
In the mean time http://puu.sh/bFMoC/4817c952eb.png new splash screen and start of the re-branding process. Questions, comments, concerns.

1500 good price to see for this coin.

majorly undervalued. Once I conqueror this App should be ready for a major price boost

I was thinking in the shower about a possible name change to fit this coin better because lets face it not everyone knows that much about Dr Who and it hit me...."Torbits". The ticker could be TOR, it says exactly what the coin is about and its only two syllables. Whatcha think?

I have been thinking about re-branding. I'm not gonna do a ticker of TOR though since there is already a TOR coin that strangely enough didn't have tor in it. Was thinking something along the lines of Sonic. Short Simple and wouldn't require much change. We could still keep the previous branding as well and slip references to the doctor in from time to time.

nothing was hurt. I had been told about it before. I had chosen not to update it because I was curious how many people would point it out.

Hi Dev,
Please correct from roadmap there is written SSD Application V2 on 31/9. FYI month of september doesn't have 31 days.

I do in fact know that September doesn't have 31 days in it. You are the second person to have pointed this out to me. I wonder how many people would not have noticed my easteregg had you not pointed it out publicly?

Could somebody give me an idea of how TimeVortex works? Huh I'd like to know more if anybody knows. Thanks

I also would like further explanation and a white paper

edit: tx42, was you a beta tester? Could you say something about time vortex?

TimeVortex v.2 is already built into the qt. You generate a new address and select time vortex address. You then give this address to whoever. They send SSD to that address and the receiving address is created uniquely per transaction. Using the magic of cryptography your wallet knows you own the TimeVortex address and how to read transactions to see if the address that was sent to is yours or not.
Does that make sense?
I have been busy or I would have written up a better explaination

Just because I don't want to share what I am working on shouldn't be cause for concern. It just means it hasn't been done before and as a result I am not ready to see my hard work be released by someone else.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver - First coin over TOR with functional anon send - 0% prem on: September 16, 2014, 09:32:14 PM
And yet it's already going back up again
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver - First coin over TOR with functional anon send - 0% prem on: September 16, 2014, 05:33:49 PM
Just wanted to keep you up to date. I am currently working on some high level encryption for the application, I realized what I had implemented was not going to meet the security standards I have set for myself. As a result there is some delay. I will be  keeping you all apprised of the situation.
Thank you again for your patience in this matter
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Customized Altcoin IRC Price Ticker Bot on: September 16, 2014, 04:24:48 AM
Gotta say I am quite satisfied with the results. I got this for SSD and have enjoyed having the bot around to check prices. Was delivered promptly and works great. Any time I have been added to an exchange I have made a request for additions and those requests have been happily granted.
I recommend coinprice for all your price bot needs.

I'll take some of you Popcorn  Grin. I have another question. How is SSD similar to Stealth? What advantages does SDD have, and what advantages does XST have if any over SDD? I fairly new to Crypto trading and am still learning, any advice or tips related to trading would be helpful. Obviously your big fans for SDD, but what advice would you give to a newbie trader?

So Stealth has an app out that allows for encrypted transactions to be sent over sms via an app. SonicScrewdriver on the other hand has anonymous transactions where the SSD receiving address is different from the TimeVortex address it was sent to. This also means you could use a single address for donations posted somewhere and each donation would go to a different address and those that donated wouldnt be able to see what others had donated either.

Now that sounds amazing! SSD has real potential to reach XST levels.

In all reality, it should.

First, look at the bittrex status page and you will see that both coins are usually 1 & 2 in the number of peers, which is an excellent measure of network health. Both have excellent block times and never deviate more than a minute or two form the target of 60 s.

But also objectively consider a number of attributes of SSD:

1. Tor built in
2. StealthTransactions, which give excellent anonymity
3. Full featured wallet with the latest optimizations
4. A solid dev who is attentive to all the little details of a coin, never letting a bug go for longer than it takes to fix it

[edit] I should mention that 1 & 2 together make SSD the most anonymous coin at the moment, so yes, it's hugely undervalued.

XST is a little different

1. Original design of the code base for both coins
2. StealthText, which puts anon in the hands of anyone with a cell phone
3. A large team with a lot of talent and ideas, as evident from the OP, website, etc.
4. Potentially ground breaking proposals for StealthSend

Couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you

Thread title has now been changed. Glad to see my coin has flourished as expected once the TimeVortex kicked in.
I have been working on the app, aim to have the proof of concept built before too long so I can start on testing and polishing.
Once it is ready I think you all will like it.
