841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 22, 2013, 12:58:16 AM
Added a few more coins thanks to a new exchange opening.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 21, 2013, 11:55:36 PM
My suggestion is to put checkmarks by each crypto coin to either enable or disable it's line in the graph, that way user would see the graph just for those coins which he needs to see.
Done!  Try it.  Just click on the name of the coin. Roll Eyes

Where? Smiley  My site?

I need either a good APIable blockexplorer for litecoind or some way to stop the litecoind daemon from crashing...
844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC v LTC on: May 21, 2013, 09:52:34 PM
LTC or any other quick flip start up scrypt coin. Mine what you can and turn them into BTC as fast as you can. Use Coinwarz.com to evaluate profit

This is exactly what CryptoSwitcher does automatically for you Smiley

There is nothing wrong with seizing counterfeit products. Your sensationalist title skews the issue.

Exactly.

It changes moment by moment.  I suggest you look at CryptoSwitcher (linked off my site), that auto changes to maximize profitability.  It also, converts the currency you mined back into BTC, so ultimately you under up with more BTC than if you mined BTC directly.

Why do you need to scrape when I provide an API?  http://www.coinchoose.com/api.php
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 21, 2013, 04:45:29 PM
That is a good suggestion.  I am trying to keep the table less cluttered (and leave some aspects to dustcoin / coinwarez), but I think that fits in with what I am trying to show here.

CoinChoose is supposed to be the programmer's mining profitability site Smiley
I was hoping you would turn down that request.  Profitability does not directly associate with market cap.  I frequently go to the other sites mentioned and look at market cap if I need to know.

Maybe need a vote?  All those in favor of more details?

The terrorist organization Illuminati (also known as the Bilderberg Group) wiped out an elementary school in America for not properly house training the little children to worship the Devil.

Glad my children spend their day worshiping the devil at their school (and begin each day with a 15 minute session dedicating to praising Satan) - that means they are safe from natural disasters.

I wonder if it is time to call the loony police on his majesty, Tom?

Where did RYC go Huh

RYC profitability is in the negatives, so....

I think it is at about 30 - 40% based on open trades.  Not negative (which would be impossible) Smiley

Where did RYC go Huh

The summary trades from exchange that has RYC on it were not only selling trades of RYC but also purchasing, which, in the case of RYC which has a HUGE spread, caused some inflated numbers.  I am re-writing my scrapper to pull from the trades page itself which should fix the issue, but, until then, I disabled RYC.

Why isn't YACoin on the list? Smiley

I had it there, but since it is not GPU mined (it is mined only via CPU), it doesn't make much sense to have it on a mining comparison site.  I could have its own chart, but it is the only one.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 21, 2013, 03:11:38 AM
Can you remove Cryptsy as a source for valuing currency? It's so out of whack right now, it's not even funny. The buy orders are a compete joke, just people hoping other people will sell buy accident, and they sell orders, are inacurate. It's throwing your profit %, out of whack. Keep an eye on it, maybe, but right now, it's a complete joke.

Or, atleast remove it for everything, except RYC, since it's the only exchange to carry the fail coin

I noticed the quotes I was pulling from are inaccurate as well - so, done.  Removed for all but RYC.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy.com launch on beta! on: May 21, 2013, 02:36:19 AM
I will begin working on the api this week.   Initially it will just provide market data, but other functions will follow.

BigVern

Great - for now I just will scrape!  Looking forward to the API, though.

Just in case one day people want to look at a similar chart, but with LTC as the base, look here - http://www.coinchoose.com/litecoin.php

I even added a litecoin api call - http://www.coinchoose.com/api.php?base=ltc
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 21, 2013, 12:05:35 AM
Fixed.  Sorry about that (my fault).
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 20, 2013, 11:56:57 PM
what source are you using for Worldcoin difficulty?

Using the Worldcoin block explorer that was presented earlier.  Right now switching to local as that one is broken.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: May 20, 2013, 10:25:00 PM
Just saw Worldcoin is @ 442% profitability on http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency - Not too bad for a coin only 6 days old.

Now @ 603% profit  Grin

It leveled a bit off, recently.  Fun to watch the 12 hour chart for these new alt coins!
