We currently have enough for the "basic package", which cost $99, but I'm hoping we can get enough for the "standard" ($159) or "advanced" ($249).
The biggest advantage with the advanced package is: Placement on Premium Web Sites (ie., StreetInsider, Scottrade) Placement on Local News Sites
Deadline February 7th (Friday) Press release will be submitted by Friday.
The more people chip in the more exposure we can get from different PR companies. If you want to contribute, please send to:

Great. So spill the beans man! Wait, let me grab a seat.. edit: ok, go!

Adiing the node =192.241.222.65 didnt do anything and it won't do anything.
It won't except make things worse because thats the dev's node and he cant even sync anymore so is likely the wrong chain.

It seems to me there's an issue in determining which chain to keep. a couple times now I've been on a chain and it switches to a shorter one. a few minutes ago I was on the 4655 one mentioned by winterfrost, and then it switched to one below 4600, so I'm resyncing again.
Yea tell me about, I got 3 clients on 3 different chains.. And this is a perfect example of WHY a new coin should always have a pre-mine (however small) to kick the coin off along the right chain before everyone piles in. Fuck bitjohn and people like him who are anti-premine. They are non-technical noobs who should stick to what they know (eg pushing a pen) and keep the fuck out of having a say in how a coin should be designed or released. They fuck it up for everyone.

This coin really needs a relaunch...
If this coin was my kid I'd ground it for a week after this performance
|
|
|
Do we have some addnodes for the correct chain?
|
|
|
there are a many chains/forks..
we are issuing a patch to fix re-org of chain..
soon
So is it still worth mining?
|
|

diff 0.006 to me
Well then we definitley got a fork. One of my other miners shows: getdifficulty 09:03:38 0.00107532 One of my miners also shows block count @ 1941 while another shows 2449

So I noticed just this morning NeoCoin was valued at 0.00004410 per coin and o I checked it out and it has some really useful features that many people have been asking for in coins ssuch as leaving messages for people, it is pow pos hybrid and it has a lot of other features which can help it be used by merchants and such so why is it valued so low?
Back in the day when it was released, before this place was as scammy as it is now, the coin had alot of promise. several beta versions were rolled out and many users were very excited. unfortunately, on release day the sheer amount of people mining it caused multiple forks, that were only discovered later. so the devs did the smart thing, and went back to the drawing board and fixed the coin, then released it with a brand new block chain. but by the time they re released it, it was like the 4th or 5th thread about Neocoin, and many people had lost interest for one reason or another. I never really liked Neocoin, but it probably would have been big if it wasnt for the multiple botched releases. Cryptsy ended up picking the coin up in their rotation due to the sheer amount of effort the dev team put into making the coin. Seems to happen to a lot of coins. Devs put forth trying to fix issues, the attention span here is short so if its not right out of the gate its doomed. Even coins that are great now many will fail for that same reason. Your pretty much on the money. These days its more about how quickly can this new coin make me a millionaire than about coin longevity or viability. Look at some of the most 'popular' coins out there atm - most have been around a very short while & are still in the 'pump' stage. This thread is a perfect example of what I mean https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=441683.0
