441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MOJO] Mojocoin - Pure PoS | chain-migration 20/06/16 READ UPDATE |||||||| on: June 08, 2016, 10:21:54 PM
do i read right, i have to sign up on livecoin exchange to swap my mojo coins that i bought in ico???  Shocked
thats not user friendly and why there is a swap?
isnt livecoin the exchange where you just cna enter with your real identity and passport or im wrong?
if so this is a no go to swap coins on this exchange.

i dont want to cause fud or so but have to understand me as an ico buyer too.

I don't think you need to offer any kind of ID for Livecoin, I have used the exchange with just an e-mail. I get that there is some resistance to do it like this but it appears to be the best option. I have explained before why this is needed. The new software is not backward compatible.

I see no issues with Livecoin, it's an established exchange and there should not be any particular problems with this chain swap. We spend some considerable time trying to make the new software work with the old but it could not be done so a new chain is the solution and then we can work from there. Everyone has been given a fair warning of around 2 weeks for this.

If you have some specific objections to using Livecoin then PM me and explain why and I can consider some other option. You will need to have some good, sound reason for not taking part, not just "I don't like this". It's just a matter of a couple of days and a couple of transactions so I don't see the big issue here.

Chain migration from V1MOJO to V2MOJO facilitated by Livecoin.net >> LINK
>> YOU MUST DEPOSIT YOUR MOJO TO LIVECOIN.NET BEFORE 20TH JUNE 2016 <<

We have new code ready and we have now agreed with Livecoin.net to swap on/after 20/06/2016. That means that you MUST deposit your coins to Livecoin.net before this date. You can still trade during the swap. If you do not deposit your coins on Livecoin.net before 20/06/2016 you risk LOOSING your coins.

Before you ask questions, please read the link above.

I will also announce via Twitter and other channels.

This limited time offer coin swap business is bullshit though. Thank you for the free coins EBK but I'm scraping whatever bitcoin I can get from them now and selling 100%. Perhaps it would have been better if you came up with a solution such as using the same private keys to claim on a different blockchain a-la Clams. Swapping on some exchange I've never heard of, that will probably get hacked and go down and result in my email spam box getting more crypto-scam spam, is not something I care to do. It's not the crypto way either.

This is how we have decided to do it. We have considered other options. There is no reason to think that Livecoin all of a sudden would get hacked. If you want to sell, that's obviously your choice. And, I don't think there is a set "crypto way" of doing things. It's all experimental.

We are confident that we will deliver a good product.

Tell your livecoin buddies I'm not signing up for an exchange site that doesn't let people view their market pages without being logged in. That's dumb.

As above, you can sign up and deposit the coins on 19/06/2016 and the swap should be done in a day so you should be able to withdraw on say 22/06/2016. The exchange facilitated swap is the chosen method to move on so if you don't you will loose the opportunity to get the V2MOJO. After the swap V1MOJO will be burnt and nodes taken down etc. and exchanges will only deal in V2MOJO.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRK] ★ Truckcoin ★ Pure PoS 200% per year ★ Bittrex on: June 07, 2016, 04:55:10 AM
I think TRK need to reduce annual PoS rate up to 20-30%.

I don't think any changes should be made to Truck. Lowering the interest won't improve the price. Raising the interest won't improve the price.
The interest or volume or market cap are not the drivers of the crypto market, volatility and traders are! And its been very boring with Bitcoin going sideways for months with just now, in the last couple days, showing some gain. When the market heats up again Truck will heat up too. Also The idea that inflation ruins coins has not proven out. Take a look at Fedora Coin with its 400 billion plus coins spiking up from 20 latoshi to over a 1000 for a while, now around 512.

So up goes TruckCoin. TruckCoin follows Bitcoin, not at the first rise but as soon as people/Truckies feel safe with the gains they start to buy Truck again. I think its the realization that a wallet full of TruckCoin is actually a low energy consumption, state of art, bitcoin miner, a miner that expands it self at 200% a year! I think all Truckies should set a goal of owning at least a million TRK. Just do the math someday on what a million TRK will look like in 5 years and multiply that against a conservative, anticipated rise in bitcoin prices. Its a pretty site.

The only problem here is that the dev noise23 has not been online for almost 1 month and there is no development and no PR and very little interest outside of us that holds TRK. I wish TRK well as it is a very stable and good code but someone needs to take over and steer this project, if we let it with 200% PoS with no direction it will simply fizzle out. I think it would be useful if TRK went into a reducing PoS and that someone took on PR for the project. I have tried to contact noise23 about this but he hasn't been online since 11th May.

EBK1000

I think you should do a snapshot of MOJO1 blockchain after livecoin swapping to prevent losses for users which don't track this thread.
And then you should create same addresses in MOJO2 blockchain with same balances.
Then users can get a private key from MOJO1 wallet and get access with this private key to corresponding address of MOJO2.

Do you have any way to protect such users? Who buy and hold without read news.
Sorry for English.

Sorry about the delay in responding to this. We will take this into consideration and get back with an update.

update news? Huh

wait until Sunday or next week Sunday

or next month sunday
he does seems to have time to reply on other projects then why not just give a small update here Wink
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1316737.msg15064489#msg15064489

Wow, so he do this all by self without a team?

The update is a chain swap / chain migration (call it what you will) facilitated by Livecoin.net with a deadline of getting your V1 coins onto the exchange before 20/06/2016. We (we are 3 people working on this) are making some final adjustments before we go public on all channels.

I will make a blog post as this is meant to be the up to date information.

and, yes, I am always here...but there is no point in repeating the same. Give me a few hours to make a blog post so that it is clear and I will update the OP.

I am obviously happy to answer any questions that HAVE NOT been addressed before.

Roadmap update

I have changed the roadmap layout in splitting the development aims into "SHORT TERM", "MEDIUM TERM" and "LONG TERM" and I am trying to update the individual aims. This seems a more appropriate strategy then to have tight deadlines that may not be met for various reasons.

ROADMAP

And that means we have to wait approximately one month longer to make this coin back to normal, meaning can be traded back using V2 MOJO, is it right?

If you read carefully, there will be no downtime, you can trade (at Livecoin) through the update, you just need to download the new wallet before you withdraw again.
I'll make a blog post and set up a Twitter repeat to warn and update Facebook and Livecoin will do the same.

Why mojo swapped?

It's quite simple really, we made some new software that was not backward compatible with the old version.

UPDATE

Livecoin has agreed to host a coin swap between what we are calling V1MOJO and V2MOJO at this time. The process will go something like this:

1. We will set a date - provisional date: 20/06/2016 (should be 3 weeks from now, final date will be announced end of this week) so that all users are registered at Livecoin and can deposit their V1MOJO.

2. After this date deposits and withdrawals of V1MOJO will be closed.

3. We then take tally of the total amount of V1MOJO on Livecoin to be exchanged.

4. During the V1MOJO 'maintenance' period Livecoin will set up the V2MOJO trading wallet.

5. We then transfer the V2MOJO balance to Livecoin for the swap.

6. Once Livecoin has the V2MOJO wallet running and the coins are transferred, the old V1MOJO wallet will be deleted and they will open deposit/withdrawal of V2MOJO. All coins are operated now in the new
V2 wallet.

7. Once the swap is complete we release the V2MOJO wallets and the source.

8. We will then burn V1MOJO and V2MOJO to provable burn addresses to balance out taking into account how many V1MOJO has been swapped. This may affect the masternode specs. but should not. We'll get back to this.

The good news is that during this process, Mojocoin clients WILL NOT be limited in exchange and trading operations at Livecoin. Trades will not interfere with the process of moving to the new blockchain. So, there is no downtime during the transfer process.

Obviously, the other exchanges that carry V1MOJO will be advised to stop trading and update during this period.

After the process, V1MOJO will be taken "off-line" in the sense that nodes will be taken down, block explorers updated. etc.

We will start announcing on all channels and Livecoin will start announcing as well as soon as we agree on the cut off date. We think that 2-3 weeks is enough. I will answer any questions about this, but I am off on a school half-term break between Monday - Thursday and will be "off-line".

MOJO will move on so don't worry...ED: (I always said that this was a long term thing so don't panic if there are no updates for a few days, we are working behind the scenes but we don't have a team of people to keep this and Twitter etc. updated all the time.)

I would also donate at least 50k TRK to some signature campaign!

Let's keep those Truckies running!!

I would donate towards that as well, if someone sets it up, 50k TRK
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 27, 2016, 12:51:14 PM

Anyone else had issues sending?

Yesterday I had the issue of LSK being send (and marked as send) but they never arrived and finally came back in my wallet.

This can happen if either (1) the/your node's block height is not up to date or (2) the node you're accessing to send is not responsive due to heavy load.

Please try to use another node, or if you're running LISK locally (highly recommended to do that), try this.

Are you guys at LISK serious that there is no GUI walllet for Mac after all this development. I can't get LISK out of my online wallet, it sucks, I cant trade
So after all this I can't send anything

So will these transactions just retry endlessly or not
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 27, 2016, 11:48:09 AM
I figured it out and now I tried to send a transaction:

But is never confirmes and just sits three, not showing on the blockchain, what should I do?

From where do you send the transaction?

From my online wallet?

So my wallet is "flickering" between displaying the transaction and not:

It looks like a transaction is attempted and fails and it tries again.

Anyone else had issues sending?
